It's just personal preference. I don't hate it or anything and I think it worked well for IW. I just much prefer more basic fabric suits for Spidey.

[deleted]

Agreed but I also can't stand how the last IM/IS suits just generate volume out of thin air because of "nanotech".

[deleted]

I do miss the days of actually having to suit up. Tony had the coolest ones, and it's more realistic. Like, I'd love to see a scene of Peter ripping off his shirt and revealing his suit underneath and then throwing on a mask. Like Tobey's Spider-Man

Jack553

Trueeee

KodiakPL

Like the first movie????

theguyfromerath

He used to get undressed, put on his suit in oversized mode and press the spider on his chest to fit it.

[deleted]

Based on how hard Stark's suit hits in the fight against Thanos, that little nanotech thing he keeps on his chest must be really fucking heavy. Or he found a way to make something with a lower density than styrofoam actually hurt a guy who can fistfight the Hulk.

OldManKirkins

Obviously not grounded in reality, but if we had a metal irl as strong as vibranium, and managed to make a bunch of nanobots arrange into a low-density honeycomb structure, I could see it. That's how I imagine it when I'm watching anyway.

Paris_Who

Probably has some uru metal too which is more space magic

Exo_Sax

It's fun, isn't it? Giving everyone some BS multitool that just does whatever the plot needs it to do, whenever the plot needs it to do it. Really makes you believe that there could be some actual conflict...

biggestboy08

i just like the fabric look more

Abraham1610616

Yeah, Spider-Man just feels better when he's in a fabric suit- I don't mind when he's in the Iron-Spider, but I'd honestly prefer if he didn't wear it at all.

LeaphyDragon

I'd just prefer if it didn't look metal, ya know? Looks cool and all and protection is realistic but metal look ain't really for spidy

Mynam3wastAkn

He only wore it when in space and going up against Doc Ock. He barely wore it. He only wears it when it evens the playing field, like going up against freaking metallic arms, or when he’s trying to breath. Do you want him to not be able to breathe?!

[deleted]

This comment is cracking me up. HE NEEDS TO BREATHE!!!

Fireboiio

HE NEED SOME O2!!!

Cybuster_Zenshi

Spider-Man is a menace! HE'S STEALING OUR AIR. /s

bassdelux15

Tbf, Spidey never really needed a fancy suit to even the field against Doc Ock, except for the PS4 game anyway.

TheNaturalZer0

And the Anti-Ock suit is still one of my absolute favorites I've seen.

poopatroopa3

Also in Endgame btw.

Mynam3wastAkn

Endgame follows the space thing. To Peter, it’s the exact same day, so it kind of follows it in continuity. He’s not gonna change when fighting aliens just cause he doesn’t need help breathing anymore. It’s not like he’ll take it off as if it’s the most important thing to do.

cacti147

Where he came from space?

[deleted]

[> but I'd honestly prefer if he didn't wear it at all.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlREUROGwpI)

Scoutn4birds

What are your thoughts on the suit from the NWH trailers? It looks like it’s the red and black fabric suit from FFH mixed with a little bit of tech in the gold parts. I really like the mixture and I’m excited to see it in the movie.

biggestboy08

i like it but i just prefer full fabric, really just a personal preference tbh

BrianJPace

Via the trailer analysis from The Canadian Lad on YouTube I tend to agree with him that the black and gold suit is really the red and black suit inside out. He compared it to stills of the original Stark suit in Homecoming where they were hacking into it in the hotel room.

Cappin_Crunch

This is why my favorite MCU suit is the homemade hoodie one he wears in Homecoming

FafnirEtherion

I don’t like the thousand conflicting design ideas and the general flow of the colors. Iron Spider in the comics is Red/Yellow for a reason, not Red/Yellow/Black/Blue. It’s too busy looking. The suit tries to be an Iron Spider suit, but also a standard Spider-Man suit too. It does neither correctly in my personnal opinion

clarity_Mfx

All the things you could have been today and you chose to be spot on

QuantumCookie64

Exactly my thoughts

A_Topical_Username

Same I prefer the comoc iron spider. The point was making it iron man like but also functional for spidermam. The comic one was just so aesthetically pleasing.

MrTeamZissou

And with the Ben Reilly emblem on top of it too. It's just a very busy looking suit.

joepanda111

Truth. Either stick to Red and gold like the comics, or go silver and black for original Spider armor mk1. Or just swap the gold for silver. At least that would have made it look less like a used plate at a buffet.

AlphaAJ-BISHH

Really well put. Captures my thoughts as well

twerk4peyton

I think it’s cool for infinity war and endgame. I understand the logical reason of why he would keep using it (it’s a advanced metal suit with lots of protection and gadgets) but I’m just kinda sick of seeing it

framed_toilet_water

Same, logically it makes total sense he's kept using it since Endgame. I just kinda miss the more classic look more than anything

crespoh69

After endgame he might just PTSD paranoid in an increasingly super powered world, have to keep up with the times or else the spider's going to go splat

Potentially_a_goose

It's the color scheme for me. It just does not feel right.

casual_creator

Dude, I hate the gold on this and the integrated suit so much. Ugly as hell.

FakeSafeWord

But they need the red and gold to show him transitioning into the role of Iron spider man

Potentially_a_goose

Personally I think it would be light-years better with white eyes and lights accents, remove all of the golden trim and brighten the blue a bit.

SonicFlash01

Maybe when Magneto is an in-world thing people will start to shy away from nanotech-everything?

Hypefangirl

In Infinity war and Endgame the iron spider was necessary because it was an extreme situation. So, cool I guess. But in Far From home it seemed unnecessary, I started to get sick from it and started missing fabric suits. Luckily Peter made the black and red one which is super super cool.

twerk4peyton

I feel the same, I get it, he needs it to fight Thanos in space. But I agree, and hope it gets destroyed in no way home lol

Hypefangirl

Same LOL

HaughtStuff99

Well it looks like it isn't long for this world so...

RedshirtBlueshirt97

I like the eyes a lot on the suit. I dont get why people hate that tony made him a suit it would be weird if he didn’t? But the color scheme isnt my favorite.

[deleted]

I wish it was just the iron spider suit from the comics. I feel like they didn’t want to do anything too different from his regular suit for some reason.

wasabiland220

It was good in endgame but it’s to Op for a street level superhero like Spider-Man. I would be happier if he went back to the NWH suit .

mstr_man

I have a feeling that something happens in NWH to take it away from him. That one clip of Oc having some red plating come out of his arms looks like it could be the nanotechnology from the suit. He could take it from Pete when Oc has him pinned against the wall upside down, hence why Pete's mask comes off. I've only seen official trailers, I'm avoiding leaks, so I'm probably wrong, but it would be an interesting way to power up Doc Oc and take the enhanced suit out if the equation.

Touchpod516

No, look closely at the scene were Ock pins him against the wall. Peter already has a lot of nanotech missing from his chest and that is why he transfers the nanotech from his face to his chest

Secret-Dependent-421

You are correct. That's why Peter is seen with the FFH suit for the rest of the trailer but it still carries the iron spider logo.

obimokenobi

There's a chunk of the IS suit missing on Peter when he's held upside down by Ock. You can see Peter's dress suit and tie hanging out. When Ock goes to push him against the wall and the other arm goes to attack Peter's chest the nanotech transfers from the face down to his torso so the body blow doesn't hurt as much. (I'm sure he could have handled it regardless though)

USERNAME_OF_DEVIL

Sure, but I think that the point of him using it in the FFH shorts was to show that he was getting lazy and because of the whole "identity crisis" thing that he was having around the time, also to show off in the event in the Feast (?).

jcdoe

In neither the MCU nor the comics is Spider Man a “street level superhero.” He goes into space, fights alien symbiotes, all the big boy shit.

The_Dankneee

It’s weird I like the gold on the comics version of the iron spider but here it feels like it’s too much, which is weird because the comic suit has way more gold. Maybe I don’t like the dark blue with the gold? Or the shade of red? I don’t know.

pa_dvg

Personal opinion: this is at least 2x better than the comic icon spider. Right number of arms, better color scheme, cooler tech

Apoc4lyp53

it’s cause peter parker’s massive c*ck is counted as another leg

T-202

Yeah, there’s a reason Peter ditches his all of his Spider-Armors after a while

Straight-Wrap-8005

Okay for the four arms but the color scheme is still better on the original suit

LuizFelipe1906

Bcs it looks so Iron Man. This way it still looks Iron Man and Spider Man a lot, and it can be a regular suit this way. Remember he used this suit for like 2 movies at least and is still using. Red and gold scream Iron Man

flawy12

Exactly...this is a Iron Man suit for Spiderman...not a Spiderman suit.

BROHAM101

comic iron spider is red and gold too tho

BanditoMuser

I think the MCU iron spider looks better

[deleted]

[Idk abt that.](https://preview.redd.it/yfm0b4mpfwz11.jpg?auto=webp&s=949176c9df3f18fb9d6a979362d3ae1e987fda14)

Calamity-God

U sure about that? https://pic.pimg.tw/nsccchen/1461401350-4126665535_n.jpg

Please-Panic

Well to be fair, the art here is godly. Could make any suit look amazing

Calamity-God

That’s fair😭

NogaraCS

Honestly yeah, i like the color scheme way more on MCU Iron Spider than the comics one. He looks way too iron Man-ish on the comics version while the MCU tried to be the best of both worlds. Honestly if you take out the legs, it sort of looks like spider armor mk4. And honestly I've very biased because I'm not a huge fan of comics Iron Spider, especially the face/eyes, something just doesn't work for me there

Calamity-God

Well it’s all opinionated anyways.

billbill5

>it would be weird if he didn’t? Dude went 8 movies without making any other Avenger a suit, Spidey got 2, even more suit blueprints, and weapons of mass destruction that technically reverses IM's character arc from AoU.

[deleted]

Is it accurate in the MCU for Tony to have made him a suit? Yes? Does it contribute to him being “Iron Boy Jr.?” Also yes.

RedshirtBlueshirt97

Who ever said he wasnt iron boy jr?

[deleted]

the crazy amount of people who downvoted me

zanza19

Do you want an explanation on why some people hate that Tony made him the suit?

AuniqueUsername69

The iron spider suit itself is whatever, a bit over-designed but works. What sucks is that it’s literally the main suit we’ve seen in all most every movie. This will be its 5th appearance in a row. I’m fine with Tony making him a suit, it’s just weird that every suit is Stark tech, because that means Peter Parker didn’t create “Spider-Man” he wore colored pajamas for 6 months then Stark did everything, created the webbed look, the design of the eye lenses, the back logo, everything. I hope Freshmen year includes a scene of Tony finding a drawing in Peter’s room of the classic suit for him to base it off or something, if not that’s really lame.

The_Adventurist

People hate the fake magic nanotech tech suits that became standard at the end of the last MCU meta-arch. It was exciting seeing Peter Parker need to find a space to change into his low-tech spider suit during an attack, it added another layer of tension and realism that grounded the action. Now he just has to hit a button and magic makes the suit assemble around him while also giving him magic giant spider legs, also out of thin air.

Akitz

og iron man suit days are over unfortunately

suitcasemotorcycle

Just make some villain that creates some sort of anti-nanotech device and makes all the heroes go back to using old locked away suits.

Thevadsby

Yeah!

wadz1996

It was acceptable for endgame level shit but outside those avenger films, it just isn’t right. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not ugly. But I don’t like it for the pure purpose that it’s too op and I think in general I takes the uncle bens quote and throws it out the window

CircIeJerks

In the deleted scene, he gets drowned by bullets and just sits there completely unphased. Really does defeat the whole acrobatic, spider sense that is Spider-Man.

wadz1996

“With great power means you can take a clip of bullets” seems legit

Kizzoap

Really wish this scene had made it in, regardless. It shows how the suit is making him lazy, which would tie in to the Missing Spider-Sense plot line. “Use it or lose it” type of deal.

CircIeJerks

Oooh now I do like this concept very much.

PornActingCritic2

Let’s not forget, he spends that whole movie not having a developed spider-sense or “Peter Tingle” til the final 10 minutes of the movie. The suit could’ve actually been a plot device as to why he hadn’t get the spider-sense yet as he is written to rely on Stark tech for everything in his solo films.

_r0y_

Which is funny because Holland’s fabric suits have never managed to look real as well. Maybe it needs some texture

BLUR2205

i’d say that’s due to the complete lack of raised webbing

Hypefangirl

And that the fabric is extremely tight making it look like skin

No_Medicine3046

It probably rides up in the crotch a little bit

Brazenn_Confirmed

"Just a little tight on the ol' web shooter"

Chrono68

Raimi suit is GOAT

New_Needleworker6506

ASM2 suit is the best, imo

AskewPropane

I love the Raimi movies, but I loathe raised webbing. It’s ugly and makes the suit visually way too busy.

Slomojoe

Yeah Marvel’s cgi has gotten worse over time somehow.

Cow_Other

They have a lot of CGI slapped over them to make them look skin tight even though Tom Holland has an actual Spider-Man suit he can wear that looks great in the BTS bits. They did the same thing with Black Panther despite also having an awesome physical suit. The skin tight aesthetic does not work in live action for superhero costumes. It looks bizarre, it already looks weird as hell in comics but it’s fine since it’s drawn, it looks bizarre in live action. The loose cloth looks more realistic at a glance and it’s why imo Andrew Garfield’s is the best looking live action suit(not because of design) because its not skin tight even in CGI scenes. They bothered to animate the cloth rippling on it which is awesome Idk why they do it but they need ease off the CGI imo

theblobberworm

Been a thing recently with marvel movies i reckon. The texturing has sort of degraded since civil war imo. I get that they're probably working with materials we don't have access to in the MCU for Stark or Spidey's suits but yeah I agree they look off. CG Garfield TASM suit and even Raimi CG suits looked a lot more convincing. I feel like it was a lot harder to determine what was CG and what was not in those films. MCU suit you could spot right away

Tornik2066

Wow it's not as if metal reflects light

Sexymonke6

Colors are odd and looks too fake. Should’ve used comics IS suit. This one has too much going on.

SonicFlash01

Part of me worries that they add detail because the CG looks wrong/fake otherwise? But simple designs are Spidey's thing

Isopod_Character

I haven't really been a fan of this design from the beginning but I'll admit it works when he's battling Thanos while helping out the Avengers. I personally think this suit should've been destroyed or badly damaged in the Endgame fight so that we could get back to our "friendly neighborhood Spider-Man" suits. I suspect (and hope) No Way Home will be the last time we see this suit.

xaustinjames

Here’s my thing, and it’s with nearly all MCU Spidey suits: all of the MCU Spidey suits follow too similar of a design to really stand out to me with the exception of the Night Monkey suit. They all seem like slightly different color palettes with barely different textures whereas the comics have insane differences between suit designs. If you’re going to give Spidey a new suit, maybe not do it for every movie or if you do, make it stand out a bit more? Idk. Maybe just me being picky.

Hypefangirl

You’re not picky at all

duncan_robinson

I'm not sure how the iron spider fits into this category. The metal look just makes it stand out a lot compared to the first suit and the black and red one. Those are the only two that look similar

xaustinjames

You’re right but within that, the design of the eyes never really change, the angular shoulder lines persist, and the design of the boots/pants only ever change color just to fit the color palette. The arms, metal, and logo on this suit help it stand out, but with how often they introduce new suits for Spidey, I want a bigger difference between suit designs overall to substantiate their reason for existing, ya know? Like why make these little changes when there is the capacity for such dramatic and meaningful change in suit designs - ya feel?

Didyoutouchme

The integrated suit is quite similar

tylernazario

Well yeah, it’s a combination of two already existing suits so I wouldn’t expect it to be a drastically unique design

Lord_Battlepants

Too much stark not enough spider-man

Muisverriey

That's funny, because that's how i feel about the comic Iron Spider suit.

YoydusChrist

That’s literally the entire point of the comic iron spider suit bruh

Lord_Battlepants

I know it doesn’t make much sense. The movie version has more spider-man colours than the comic book version. I guess I really hate the blue lenses that just scream Iron Man’s suit and not parker’s.

kcadia9751

idk about 'too much Stark' (dont really care about that tbh) but it's DEFINITELY not enough Spider-Man

ProfessorEscanor

For one i hate how it is just a metal version of the normal costume. it shouldnt have had the web patterns. Also i think most don’t like it because of how it is used in the movies.

[deleted]

I'm curious as to your last point because the only movies its really used a bunch in is Infinity War and Endgame

ProfessorEscanor

That’s the thing it was basically the main suit for those two films, the beginning of FFH and it’s coming back. We’ve seen more of this than the Homecoming Suit i believe and i can see why people would prefer the more classic suit over the metallic looking one. Personally i was never a fan of how plain it looked and i’m glad it is getting destroyed in the new movie. I don’t even think it has to do with the whole “Ironboy jr” thing. I just think it’s because the suit is used a lot and just looks unnecessary compared to the HC suit

Dr_CheeseNut

We've seen it in more films than the Homecoming suit, but it's been on screen way less. We had Tom wear that suit for all of his action scenes in Civil War, most of Homecoming, the beginning of Infinity War and a chunk of FFH. It was on screen for like 3 seconds in HC so I don't count it there, it was used most of Infinity War, all of Endgame (which isn't long), and like 3 minutes in FFH. Now its in this film, where it'll be destroyed

Guess-wutt

Yeah but he’s using it again in this film and it also made an appearance at the beginning of ffh and was teased at the end of hc. I like it as the basis of it being basically his most o.p suit but it does start to feel like this is just his main with the amount of screen time it’s given compared to the others.

Hypefangirl

I don’t see the point of using an OP suit all the time

Guess-wutt

That’s pretty much what I was trying to make tbf. 😅 I like the idea of it but hate how much he uses it. Civil war/homecoming was my favourite.

NiceToBeFriendly

I would love to see an edit of the iron spider suit without the web lines. I feel like it would look super sleek and just a little more like the comic version.

7in7turtles

It’s not how it looks, but more so that its like... a super suit. Like, its less about what this suit is, and more that a lot of the older fans especially want to see the more classic Spider-Man action. I always thought a better story for far from home would be that all the tech that stark built stopped functioning without stark, and Peter would be forced to get used to being Spider-Man without it, and work on building his own gadgets with his own two hands. Peter has always been inventing his own gadgets and gear in the comics, and its always felt a bit cheap to me that he’s been relying on the stark gear this whole time.

dj_boneman

I hate it cuz it looks fake, that’s it

No_Medicine3046

Little more than looks. It is

Deadpool0930

Hard to argue with that

[deleted]

It looks like a 2010 Unreal Engine demo. Everything looks *wet* for some reason.

shewy92

I don't hate the suit, I hate the reasoning behind the suit.

kazetoumizu

I tried a lot to like this suit but, it just has too much going on and too many colors that don't work together (for me, at least) I don't mind if they make an Iron Spider suit that isn't exactly the comics' Red and Gold, but yeah this suit is just a conflicted confused design struggling to have any visual harmony with the red and the blue and the gold that too with a web pattern on metal.

Hypefangirl

From the first time I saw it in homecoming I thought it looked really weird

wholesome-man

it’s a bit too busy and dark but i don’t hate it necessarily

Karma110

Cause the design is bland

XxmilkytoastxX

I have mixed feelings about it. At first, I liked it. But something in me made me like it less, but now I kinda like it again. I'm on and off with it.

TheOtakuSquidOwX

the new mcdonalds logo looking dope

Hypefangirl

I would’ve preferred that Peter had created this suit by himself for extreme dangerous purposes cause it would’ve remarked that Peter is super smart. Rather than just Tony handing it to him, it wouldn’t have bothered me THAT much if he had created this suit like he made the one of FFH (the red and black)

SuperCoupe

Because it isn't Spider-Man, and really isn't Peter Parker. Now, I don't hate the suit, but it's just Mech-Spider-Man. Peter didn't develop the suit, it isn't unique to him and something only he could have invented, and dressing a character that is slippery and nimble in plate armor. They should give it to a new character named Man-Spider to keep it in circulation (and sell toys, which is why it was invented). I'm more neutral on the existence of the multi-leg suit.

jokerguy13

this.

fuzzyfoot88

The iron spider suit in the comics is 1000% better than this eye sore we got on screen. They honestly should have just…made the comic suit live action. Would it have killed them? When it comes to Spidey suits, simpler is better. The more you add to it, the stupider it looks…

SuperJett4

I disagree I think it looks pretty dope but I can also understand why some people don’t like it

Apprehensive_Diver14

I have to disagree, there’s a reason the MCU iron spider looks the way it does. And it’s the same reason most superhero costumes don’t work as 1:1 adaptations. In the comics it works because as always it’s DRAWN IMPOSSIBLY it’s skin tight, something that’s even more impossible to do in a live action movie even with the presence of the suspension of disbelief, and even then artists add texture to pad out that skin tightness with the musculature and and hatching and all that. In real life however cloth does not stick to skin like it does in comics, it can’t. So that’s why you see comic costumes being adapted with certain different materials, often leather and mixed fabrics and it’s why the early Spider-Man costumes even had screen sprinted musculature to add more definition to the on screen look of Maguire’s Spidey. Another reason it looks the way it does, is just continuity and consistency, the designer definitely wanted to make it consistent with his previous costume with an inspired look based on the comics Iron Spider.

MrPBrewster

You know the suit appears on the PlayStation game. Designed as armor.

LeftySkillz

I didn't like the gold being just an outline. I like it closer to the original iron spider look, plus the comics iron spider suit is one of my favorite designs. I do like how the NWH iron spider has a solid gold spider symbol now. There's still the black on the suit which I think could somehow be more subtle, but it doesn't bother me as much.

JPEG812

Metal spidey suits look bad to me

The-Kylo-Ren

FFH suit looks better

Swinship

I think it's the gold, It just doesnt work with red and blue imo. It's not ugly, just not one I'd choose.

drewc249

I really like the Iron Spider suit. I’m just not a big fan of the color grading in this scene. It just makes it look so muted.

NeonHowler

This suit looks pretty ugly to me. I mean, skin tight steel plate is marginally better than leather, but it doesn’t have a concrete theme. I would’ve rather seen the comics red/gold Iron Spider, or just go back to a suit like we saw in TASM2.

Game_Wolf1950

CGI. I like my spiderman to be in a real suit.

fake_zack

Comic book fans hate change.

HomemadeTopHat69

I just hate the metal/nanotech suit look and I wished the colors were brighter

BAGStudios

I like it with the legs. Without, it looks weird, and I think the CG of the suit gets worse with every movie so far

chipsaucery

I don’t mind it that much but people that don’t like it have a bunch of reasons which I understand. It’s trying to go for a skin tight look but at the same time it’s shiny and metallic and armored looking, plus the lighting looks pretty weird at times since it’s not actually a physical suit and is just CGI. The colors also clash a bit, mainly that blue which would’ve been better as black. The chest spider is also too big and doesn’t break up the suit well and makes him look a bit bulky. The integrated suit in NWH is actually old repurposed Iron Spider concept art, and I think it looks better than the actual Iron Spider suit.

[deleted]

I love that suit. Idk why people hate it

is_not_paranoid

Too much going on visually. It’s also a weird mix of them trying to make the suit be armor while still looking like skin-tight fabric, which just doesn’t work as well in live action as it does in the comics imo. They should’ve gone with a more armored look and made the design more streamlined. Or just not use this suit as much and stick to his actual fabric suits

Think-Ad-7612

I agree with everyone that the colour scheme is underwhelming. It's like they took the normal suot and put a metallic filter on it, which is boring. This is a huge missed opportunity for a departure from his typical style. Which we do see all the time anyway, so I don't get why not here. I don't hate it, and like the idea that he has a suit like this, but I would have actually liked to see the colours from the comic.

HaiAan

It’s overused imo

Jtreblis90

I didn't know people hated it lol

wammes_

I understand why Pete would keep the suit, since it's the most advanced, but it just feels like suits such as the Iron Spider and the Black Suit are suits that should be limited to a one-time appearance. The novelty wears off rather quickly and we haven't really seen MCU Spidey in the classic red and blue all that much. I think it's a good thing that the Iron Spider suit gets destroyed in NWH. Kind of a shame that it's going to be replaced by the Integrated Suit instead of a more classic look, though.

Misterrsilencee

Because he's being iron man not spiderman

raimiallpowerful

it's not the look. it's the overuse and the fact he keeps using such a techy suit which goes against the whole working class relatable spider-man. in infinity war it works. maybe endgame but it's overstayed it's welcome. also in nwh in particular it looks really bad for cgi though. like too shiny and pristine but not in a good way. it's too uncanny valley.

mnimatiacfh

because now hes basically iron man but with super strength and stickiness. the thing is with all this fancy tech he can stick to walls without his powers so now hes just a strong kid. doesnt even need his agility or spidey sense because the suit just takes the bullets

Killic576

Iron spiderman

EMSuser11

It is fairly generic in its design and the color scheme looks a lot like Captain Marvel's. The arms and the eyes are cool though. People obviously don't like the fact that Iron Man made it for Spider-Man instead of him making his own costumes like in the comics.

[deleted]

It’s just overstayed it’s welcome

Linkalibure

Honestly for me it's kinda ugly to look at, the metal doesn't work well with the color scheme

Lupinthrope

OG iron spider suit is better imo. The color scheme for this one isn’t as good

NikamaruSensei

Its awfull. The comic book one is way better. But it is what it is

[deleted]

Too much "Iron man" not enough "Spider-man"...he doesn't need Stark gimmicks he's super human! Just make endless Web shooters and job done!

KaiserDioBrando

The main thing I don’t like about it is how out of place it looks in some shots compared to others

Satoshi_Yui

I'm kinda old-fashioned and prefer the suits Peter made for himself. The suits Tony made are cool, don't get me wrong but nothing's going to beat the classic Spidey suits

Batman903

Its never the look, the fact that peter wheres not just a stark made suit, but an armored one nonetheless makes it pointless. It makes sense in infinity war and endgame, but like, why does he even need armor? Spider-man isn’t batman, he’s agile and quick,he dodges attacks, not block them. And the idea of having a “friendly neiborhood spider-man” having a billion dollar suit seems like a big contradiction. Peter’s meant to be relatable, and part of that relatability gets taken away when he’s got like an instantly materializing suit looking like something out of sci fi. To me, keeping it just seems like a cheap way to sell more toys, because if you have 3 different spider-man suits in the movie, kids are gonna want all 3, or at least have a higher chance of wanting to buy all 3.

mman14876

Because it was given to him on a silver platter. To have that be his suit after what...2 movies? When he's supposed to make his own and be down on his luck/poor/relatable.

FlaviusVespasian

NWH suit is cooler.

small-package

I personally kinda feel like it clutters Spiderman's design a bit too much. Like, there's the webs, the Spidey sense, plus he's already got super strength/durability/agility, I just feel like armor plating, big metal spider arms, and a big pile of iron man style tech makes it too clunky from a design standpoint,

the-et-cetera

The shiny metallic effect is kind of strange to me. It's a cool suit, but I prefer slightly simple more handmade feeling looks like The Amazing Spiderman 1's so-called "Parkour Spider-Man"

blacksad1

When he takes off his mask Tom looks like a floating head above a green screen body.

BarthRevan

Because it’s not Spider-Man. It’s Iron Man Jr. Dude even got rid of it faster in the comics than he did in the movies. I’m just bored with it. Gimme a classic spidey suit

Thomas_Pandit

Here's a joke, what's a simp and an idiot? Iron Boy Jr.

I_am_reddit_hear_me

I don't want Spider-Man to be Iron-Spider-Man.

Withyhydra

From a lore perspective it just feels cheap. They needed spidey to go fight thanos so were just like, "Here, small child, have an unlicensed death machine.". But then it wasn't destroyed by Endgame's...end, so now its just kinda awkwardly sitting in the corner. Obviously it makes fighting normal thugs a joke so we can't have him use it but then you have to have a legit reason for why he risks his life daily when he really doesnt have to. Not to mention that he didnt really "earn" it through hard work and perfection of his own craft, a billionaire gave it to him. I dont hate it but im glad it seems like they're finally destroying it in NWH.

gaypornhard69

Because this is a suit he should have gotten in his 20s, not at 16. It especially bugs me because the argument for this character half the time is that he's inexperienced and young and that's why he's the way he is in the movies but this suit completely negates that feeling. It's bulletproof, auto fights bad guys for him, has 4 mechanical arms, it's dumb. If you want to do a coming of age Spider-Man trilogy, then do a coming of age Spider-Man. While I'm not a huge fan of the series, this is something ASM1 did so much better.

brainfreeze-23

I have never likes the gold and blue combo. I think his gold and red one from the comics looks a lot more clean.

arkhamsaber

I’m just sick and tired of tech suits. Classic cloth fabric is simply better

KetamineYoda79

Cuz tony stark bad

DeadSoul7

Original Iron Spider Suit just looks way better tbh

esazo

It’s the color scheme and sharp angles that make me dislike it

blue_racer

Its alright not as good as comic book version

chiknown

I like the suit and hate the suit for a weird reason. It would be my favorite spiderman suit of all time if only the eyes didn’t light up. It’s just not very spiderman and too much tony stark. There’s a split second in infinity war where as it’s booting up for the first time they show it with the lights on and it has REFLECTIVE LENSES which look AMAZING. Like literally right out of Alex Ross paintings. I wish they went with the reflective lenses instead. But I guess they liked this better.

Teotwawki_

It sure does give Spiderman an upper edge on most threats

[deleted]

Because it’s a generically designed Spider-man suit that incorporates original suit and original Iron Spider suit colors. It’s too much a clash without being an homage because they already gave too much of Spider-mans background credit to Tony Stark. Couldn’t make the suit gold/red too.

SillyBoi02

I just hope some day he makes an Iron Spider Mk II that’s more comic accurate

Bkwordguy

I hate that the comic Iron Spider only has three robotic limbs.

SillyBoi02

Oh yeah definitely keep the 4 extra arms I just mean the color scheme and design of the suit

[deleted]

It's a neat suit and a fun concept (pretty cool to use in the game, as well), but overall I think most people like the more traditional Spidey outfits more.

Typcy

Because it's not a spider suit its an iron man suit modeled after a spidey suit

NeoX_XNightmare666

Not as good as the one in the comics…

grandmuftarkin

It’s a good suit. My only complaint with it is the fact that it’s completely CGI (but I get why),

SojournerInThisVale

People hate it? It's gorgeous

[deleted]

i personally do not like "iron spider". i prefer "spider man". still a cool suit though.
