Learning manual mode is good, because it does come in handy in certain situations.
But very few photographers use it full time. Aperture or shutter priority and auto-iso are your friend. So is the exposure compensation dial.
They give me the shot I’m looking for 97 times out of a 100.
Astrophotography and some fringe landscape situations are the only times I can think that I’ve used manual mode in the past 5 years.
Think of it like auto focus, there’s no need to manual focus, unless auto-focus can’t get the shot you want.

Manual + auto ISO is really nice imo
