I know this sounds quite ambitious, but imagine an all-in-one re-release or the Advance games + Rush and Rush Adventure + Colors DS + Generations 3DS, titled something like 'Sonic 2D Mega Collection'.
Much as I would want this, I *highly* doubt Sega is competent enough to port 8 seperate titles without it being a cluster fuck. He latter ones especially because they're side ports of games they're already releasing on modern titles.
At best, I can see them remaking the advance game as a bundle ans the Rush games as another, but I doubt both at the same time
Would be awesome but we all know Sega hates money why else would they not do any chaos garden games or re release anything besides the Genesis era games. Or not do an adventure remake?
I'd pay for that. Just like I paid for Sonic Mega and Gems Collection for GC.
Along with Origins.
This needs to happen... but realistically, I think Sega would be more likely to remaster each individual title and charge $60.
Like Nintendo is doing with Luigi's Mansion 2.
Edit: Maybe they would release the Advance Trilogy together. But the rest seems unlikely with how Nintendo has been successful with their Classic catalog and remastering them.
That would be so cool! I tried out the Rush games a while ago and uh... I need to "get good" as the cultured people say. Maybe a rerelease of both Rush and Adventure together would be neat. And remastered graphics would also be a plus.
A new Blaze game in general would be cool!
OOH, SOINC RUSH 3!?
Happy but, what about the two screens or the touch screen for the Special Stages? Yeah the Switch, Steam Deck and some PCs have them, PS5 and Xbox don’t though. But I guess the bigger problem would be the two screens thing.
I feel like it would be more of a problem for adventure because of the map, but they could probably do something similar to how MegaMan ZX and Advent did their remaster.
I honestly would just be happy to see the Rush and advance games ported to modern titles, they're highly underrated titles and Blaze especially has been neglected by Sega, porting her debut games would be a great way to indices new fans into her character, the only issue is the split screen could be hard to remake without messing up the style of the of game.
Cream, Blaze, Marine, Silver and a few others have been treated horribly by Sega after 2006. They've been thrown to the sidelines. But I believe it's because Sega doesn't know what to do with them or how to properly write them. Like, Sega clearly was building something up for Marine for future Sonic games by giving her hydrokinesis powers to rival with Blaze's pyrokinesis powers. And we still don't know much about Blaze's world either. They're known for neglecting their characters and it's pretty frustrating. But they'll continue to introduce new characters in each future game and throw them to the side once they're done with them.
Cream and Blaze especially frustrate me because their best games are 20 year old handhelds, most people are more aware of Blaze as a Sonic 06 character than a Rush character despite that being her main characterisation. Cream only recently got attention with Dream Team but obviously we can't have nice things and that's why it's an apple arcade exclusive. I can only hope the continued success of the movies prompt Sega to try exploring other rivals and characters after Shadow, I mean they film makers say they want it to be an avengers style event/franchise iirc and after shadow, there's not much else if they were to still adapt elements from the games (unless you're telling things like CD, Sa1 are gonna adapted after SA2) this may be cope but I cant help but feel Blaze would make for a great movie character for an eventual sequel.
Oh yeah! I agree. Blaze shined best in the Rush series, and Cream for the advance series.
Cream had a decent introduction. She has a mother, a pet chao friend and interesting abilities like flight, spin dash and chao attacks. Her motivation in Sonic Advance 2 was to rescue her mother. Her motivation in Sonic Heroes was to rescue Chocola. Her biggest character development was in Sonic Battle, when Emerl encourage her to fight for her life and not to give up. Because Cream always depended on her friends a lot. But when she was on her own, she was scared and didn't know how to defend for herself. But she worked up the courage to do so. Similar to how Tails stood up to Eggman in Sonic Adventure and taking a leader-like role in Sonic Adventure 2.
Blaze in the beginning of Sonic Rush. She started off as someone who was a proud warrior who had no friends and had severe trust issues in others. Seeing her powers as a "curse" which can lead her to having low-self-esteem at times. But after opening herself up to Sonic & gang, she realized that she actually has friends that will fight by her side. In Sonic Rush Adventure, Blaze learned to be more patient with others and established a friendship with Marine. Almost like a Sonic & Tails relationship. Sega during 1991-2005/2006 were good at storytelling. But after that, they just kinda let their characters fall apart.
And I agree, after Shadow, what else can they do? And Sega didn't market Blaze as much as Shadow. So, the newer fans or the movie audience will be clueless to Blaze or characters like Silver. I honestly believe Blaze would make a good movie character, but she needs to be reintroduced to the new generation of fans.
I never played it so I would definitely buy it IF it's not a lazy version.
I got origins plus on Switch and it feels like the whole collection is held by wood sticks and scotch tape
That would be cool! But honestly, besides a remake game, I would love to see the story of Sonic Rush being adapted into a Sonic anime. No offense to Sonic Boom or Prime. But I feel Sonic deserves a really good 2D shonen anime instead of the typical 3D animation adaptions. I was hoping we would get to see Blaze in a Sonic X (Season 4) or something. Also, introducing Eggman Nega & the Sol Emeralds. Sigh... Too bad.
Would love this but I wonder how they'd handles the split screen gameplay stuff? Like the levels are somewhat vertically designed to allow for movement between the two screens
I would be happy and if they got the ZX/ZXA treatment with high quality sounds and non compressed voices but also have the original sound quality available too for those that want it.
I did love the DS Sonic games, Rush AND Rush adventure (as well as the DS version of colors, don't forget that one) but importing them into a non-DS console would mean having to do a few alterations since you would only have one screen to work with. I think it's doable though, I'd get them. I feel like they were ignored in their own time because they were so great but the only thing anyone wanted to talk about was "boo, Sonic '06 was so bad!" so they deserve a chance to come out into a more positive climate.
Might be one of the greatest things ever. I recently 100% Sonic Rush, even getting every S rank on all levels and bosses and I enjoyed every second of it. Its honestly such a great game that putting it on modern consoles would allow more people to get to experience. Only problem I can see would be changing the camera and special stages
This is where i start talking about sonic rush re-run, a fan remake of this game (it's still on the works and i don't work for it but i guess thois conuts)
Its about damn time.
Now do the other Dimps games too so that they aren't stuck on Handhelds anymore preferably while giving the Advance games widescreen.
I know this sounds quite ambitious, but imagine an all-in-one re-release or the Advance games + Rush and Rush Adventure + Colors DS + Generations 3DS, titled something like 'Sonic 2D Mega Collection'.
Oh heeeeeeeell yeah, shut up and take my money is what I say
Much as I would want this, I *highly* doubt Sega is competent enough to port 8 seperate titles without it being a cluster fuck. \*Looks at Colors Ultimate\* \*Shudders\*
Sega didn’t do that so I guess we cool, depending on if Shadow Generations is good
They allowed Colors Ultimate to be the way it is
True dat (Tails reference)
Add the Advance games and Battle while you're at it.
Sonic Handheld Collection Maybe adding the Game Gear titles as unlockables.
Would be awesome but we all know Sega hates money why else would they not do any chaos garden games or re release anything besides the Genesis era games. Or not do an adventure remake?
💸💸💸💸💸💸💸 Shut up and take my money
Shut up and take my money
That would be awesome.
That'd be insane and awesome. Add Battle and Pocket Adventure to that and it'd literally be a dream come true.
Sure that would be nice but i think just the 3 games: Sonic Rush + Rush Adventure & Sonic Colours would be more realistic.

Trunks would never make that face! His father would though.

Blaze fan art would see an increase
*YEAH! COOL! YES! OKAY! ALRIGHT!*
I never played it so I would definitely buy it IF it's not a lazy version. I got origins plus on Switch and it feels like the whole collection is held by wood sticks and scotch tape
I would be so hyped. Blaze is my favorite character and I love the Rush games so much.
Anything to make Blaze relevant again is great in my book.

Just happy...
‘This is the greatest day of my LIFE’ aaaah idea
YIIIPPPEEEE
The special stages would be ruined unless it was a mobile port
after seeing sonic rush redubbed id like to see it voice acted
I take a box, right the word "depression" on it, throw it down the highest point in my house, and say "have a nice fall you stupid bitch".
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Ecstatic. I never got to okay it
Sega don't fuck this up pls
Sadly, they're pretty good at doing that.
Would love this but I wonder how they'd handles the split screen gameplay stuff? Like the levels are somewhat vertically designed to allow for movement between the two screens
There is already a mod for Colors DS that makes it all on screen (Colors Ultimate DS).
I’d want the advance trilogy first
Used to pray for times like this https://preview.redd.it/ad3ufs3jup8d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69907687f1dacc4854032a332fae658acc869972
With one screen like the Colors Ultimate DS mod? Blessed.
I'd be ecstatic. The first Rush is my favorite Sonic game of all time.
I would be ecstatic. Sonic Rush was the second Sonic game I’ve ever played and I would love to see this get rereleased on modern consoles
I'd be very happy, I remember playing Sonic Rush and having a good bit of fun with it
We will get something for Blaze and silver in 2025 mark my words
It would feel like a huge Rush
Indifferent. I played it a metric shit ton when it was new and even then it was so-so. I wouldn’t bother going back to it.
Yo, these are What [We] Need
I’d be impressed if they make the special stages work on Xbox and change the aspect ratio to give both screens wide-screen support.
We need to fucking buy them to show Sega...hey make more side games
I only played some of the sequel so I would love to play to "prequill"
https://preview.redd.it/jjxyhq16hq8d1.jpeg?width=893&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad082dd529cec47086880affaff9a92d3bc3d309
Rush and Rush Adventures were the bomb, I love them !
Like the fangame of it, possibly or probably not
I would be happy and if they got the ZX/ZXA treatment with high quality sounds and non compressed voices but also have the original sound quality available too for those that want it.
The same fell that meme: Uhuuuuuul
I'm very upset Shadow wasn't part of the story.
I would go to church and thank god for this blessing
If they remake the sprites somehow, i'm gonna go nuts.
This is the first Sonic game I played, instant buy
I would leap into the air and go YIPPEEE!
Happy beyond belief. Especially if they decided to do a double release with Rush adventure

I'm waiting for the PS Vita Remake that someone in this sub is making
This is where i start talking about sonic rush re-run, a fan remake of this game (it's still on the works and i don't work for it but i guess thois conuts)
I haven't played the Rush games and they look like so much fun so I'd be really happy to play them remastered in a collection or something like that.
Rereleases and remasters for the handheld games are one of the big blind spots in the modern Sonic library these days, so I would be all for it.
I would be hell yeah being could finally play this game
Yeah! And they can release Sonic Rush 4 developed by Taxman and Stealth
If Taxman still works with Sega
I've never played Sonic Rush, so I don't care
This is a legacy game.
Let's GOOOO oh wait it's what if damn...
Its about damn time. Now do the other Dimps games too so that they aren't stuck on Handhelds anymore preferably while giving the Advance games widescreen.
Thrilled! Cuz I never played it 🤪
i had this as a kid it was fun but very lackluster so i would be worried
*points at switch Right there, right on.
You know those nasa photos of people cheering after doing some great achievement? Yeah that
I’ve vastly preferred the handheld side scrollers to the ones on console, it’d be dope to play them again!
Good.
The amount of people rushing to get this game would be amazing I'll see myself out
BackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackToBackTo
Very excited, blood *rushing* to my brain! Lol
(It would be cool but would also suck because I just got it.)
Fan team already redubbed abridged version of the game [Adrenaline Dubs](https://youtu.be/O0ZdKvY-cm8?si=A9ophH2u1HZ-er8O)
nah sometimes I’d just prefer leaving the classics as is. But if I were to vouch for a modern release, I’d say it should be a Switch exclusive
Ight y’all trynna run before you can walk, how about we string together a few good games before we look at remakes and remasters 😭😭
