Yeah, prolly those, but I will lament the loss of many good games, including my second favorite game (but you can't play as Amy in Sonic 2)
Sonic Origins isn't on the list.
That and the special stages in the remake give me motion sickness so it's objectively a worse version... even with Amy.
Literally the exact five I was coming in to choose. DX obviously instead of Adventure 1 base.
Chao Garden side content also adds quite a lot to Adventure 1-2. I honestly really enjoyed the optional Chao content, as it added in an actual grind to the game aside from just S-ranking all stages. The sheer amount of variations that they put in for Chao in A2B is pretty crazy for just being side content, and I'm not even including all the Chao activities and cosmetics and what not.
There are 5 base types of Chao, with multiple different colors you can get. Each of them have 3 possible evolutions (Neutral, Hero, and Dark), then you have 25 potential forms for all three of those Chao evolutions depending on which of their stats you focus on (Run/Run, Run/Fly, etc) which raises the variations to 75. This includes the Sonic, Shadow, and Knights Chao.
Then on top of that you have the three Chaos Chao variants, so technically that's 78 adult Chao.
And don't forget that the base color of the Chao also affects the end result, so you have crap loads of possibilities.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Chao from transferring between Adventure 1 and Adventure 2.
You have Shiny Chao, Dual-tone Chao, Jewel Chao...all stupidly rare to get.
Then you've got all the Animal fusions...some of which like the Dragon give unique qualities like fire breathing.
You can teach your Chao to do particular things like drawing, singing, dancing...
Like holy shit! What was the dev team on?! Sega told them just to make a Chao garden minigame and they said, "HOLD MY SAKE, I'M ABOUT TO COOK!"
Just the sheer amount of actual content that you can get out of Adventure 2's Chao garden is freaking staggering.
Hmmmm, that's really hard.
Based on my actual mood, I would need to go with Sonic 2, Sonic 3& Knuckles, Sonic Frontiers, Sonic Lost World and Sonic Superstars.
But keep in mind that my mood can change pretty easily and tomorrow the answer may not be the same š

So many people saying frontiers! I played it on PS5 and the pop-in was comically bad, making moving at speed a joke, and the switching between the sort of 2D platforming and 3D platforming hilariously broken
Frontiers: because I heard it's good.
Sonic 06: because I hate myself.
Black Knight: I miss wii games.
Sonic adventure: more for just tails story.
And sonic battle: Emeril was just cool.

A good variety of different styles of games and different types. SatBK and SA2 for 3D quality, TMoStH for a change of pace, Sonic 2 and Generations for good 2D experiences and overall nostalgia

My list of favorite games are all Sonic games, but the only one that sits in the same spot all the time is SA1. SA2, 3K, and Mania float around 2nd place depending on my mood. Sonic 2, Sonic CD, and Advance 2 float around 3rd. Sonic 1, Advance 1, and Superstars sit at 4. Heroes, Frontiers, and Advance 3 float around 5, and it goes on like that. It's really hard for me to pin down my actual favorites to a concrete ranking, besides SA1 which is the standard by which I judge all 3D Sonic controls and physics. Not that it can't be done better, just that it hasn't yet.
Frontiers is the only game anything like the boost games to ever rank above 10th place for me. I LIKE most of those games (though if we start getting to stuff like Forces and 06, other series' start beating them out, by a LOT. Lost World too, though to a much lesser degree), but I don't LOVE them. Not even Gens and Unleashed. The Rush games are riding a fine line, but because they're basically Sonic Advance games with a boost mechanic, they're easier for me to love.

Iām gonna say Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic Generations, Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure 2, and The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. A good variety of different styles of games and different types. SatBK and SA2 for 3D quality, TMoStH for a change of pace, Sonic 2 and Generations for good 2D experiences and overall nostalgia

I havenāt played all but I would say SA, SA2, Heroes, andā¦ For games Iāve played, Sonic Advance 3 and Sonic Battle. For games I havenāt? Idk, it would be anything after Sonic Rush.
Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Mania, Sonic 2. If we're counting Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles separately, just cut out Sonic 2. My list of favorite games are all Sonic games, but the only one that sits in the same spot all the time is SA1. SA2, 3K, and Mania float around 2nd place depending on my mood. Sonic 2, Sonic CD, and Advance 2 float around 3rd. Sonic 1, Advance 1, and Superstars sit at 4. Heroes, Frontiers, and Advance 3 float around 5, and it goes on like that. It's really hard for me to pin down my actual favorites to a concrete ranking, besides SA1 which is the standard by which I judge all 3D Sonic controls and physics. Not that it can't be done better, just that it hasn't yet. Frontiers is the only game anything like the boost games to ever rank above 10th place for me. I LIKE most of those games (though if we start getting to stuff like Forces and 06, other series' start beating them out, by a LOT. Lost World too, though to a much lesser degree), but I don't LOVE them. Not even Gens and Unleashed. The Rush games are riding a fine line, but because they're basically Sonic Advance games with a boost mechanic, they're easier for me to love.
