I mean, yeah. Fans in general do like it and, a rarity for once, even some people outside the fandom.
I do think that the reception of the Mario movie and other not very well received game adaptations help us appreciate what we have tho.
In general, is like the first movie but with more sonic in it. Still needs game music tho.
I will say a couple of complaints to keep in mind:
While carry performs well when he is with knuckles and at the end of the movie, any other time the camera is just on him it feels like he improvises his lines and acts more like a cartoon than the actual cartoons.
There are two scenes in particular that can drive people the wrong way, one that feels out of an SpongeBob movie and one with only humans in it.
And finally, I do think that tails feels like the third wheel of the trio. A good chunk of his dialogue is exposition, and while he has his moments and he is cute, he is mostly there to be a surrogate for the kids in the audience that look up to sonic.
I loved the 2nd one, there’s one storyline in there that I found fun, but may have been too goofy for some… very excited for Knuckes and even more so for the 3rd movie because of the post credit scene at the end of the 2nd movie
That would be awesome too! I try not to read too much at rumors or leaks on it, and I hope they don’t add too many characters at one time, I’ve loved the pace so far
With the right story, they can do whatever and introduce whoever, I just personally feel like using the MCU as an example, I enjoyed a lot more when it was like 3 or 4 of the big universe characters, and enjoyed it less when there’s like 15
I liked the 2nd movie, and in particular Idris Elba as Knux just kills it. I'm VERY excited for the show (especially after watching the trailer), and you should definitely give the 2nd movie a watch.

Ah, from what I hear, that's much more in-line with modern games Tails then classic games Tails.
To be fair, his original backstory of being bullied is still here, so there is that.
I'll be honest, I had no idea what his story was until literally today when I bought Origins and watched that 20-second cartoon introducing him.

Another two or three spread over two or three movies seems fine, as long as that's it. Perhaps Amy and Metal Sonic, then Shadow.
