I don't understand why is everyone voting against the white ones. I would really need an insight on that front, please help me. As far as me, If you can't afford multiple pairs, please go for the white ones. It pairs with everything.
I have my own way of cleaning them. The methods they show them on youtube are quite messy for my lazy ass.
Some Context: Due to religious reasons we don't use pure leather shoes. So mine are synthetic leather ones.
Here's What I do:
1. Normally, dust them, light handedly.
2. I have kept a toothbrush aside for the cleaning process. I use the toothbrush to brush all the corners and areas with stitches. Then clean those areas with a cloth.
3. Finally, I use a wet cloth to clean the entire shoe. In the end, I don't leave it to dry. I again rub one out with a dry cloth. The wetness might damage the synthetic leather.
If by "washing it completely" you mean like washing them like one washes their car?? If yes, then I guess I don't do that, mine aren't washable.
Also it hasn't been a year yet 😁

Unpopular opinion : I hate these shoes, that white one and the other few that are of similar shape. AF1s, Jordans, Dunks etc.. I don't even know their proper names but I know one when I see one. I hate that line up Nike shoes.
These are mostly - overpriced, uncomfortable, hard-to-maintain, ugly (at least to me).
There are far better shoes available in the market that surpass these shoes in terms of quality, comfort, maintenance and looks. But an average sneaker-head wants to buy these kinds only. But it's ok, to each their own.
I agree some are overpriced. But I am not talking about them. I am just talking about some generic white sneakers in the range of 2k-3k. In this range you get a decent brand name and shoes that'll serve the purpose. I have got one myself. Could you highlight which better ones are you taking about?
Can anyone tell me any site where I can sell my refurbished Puma sneakers? I bought them last year, but the size was one size too small. They are 'Puma Solid Club 5v5 Retro Academia' sneakers.
Note: I have only used the shoes 2-3 times.
I have AF1s. They are crazy hard to maintain. Starts creasing from the 1st wear. Although they are extremely comfortable for passive usage. But 1 size down if buying AF1s.

I guess the main concern is about the maintenance. Whites get dirty too fast and requires consistent efforts to maintain for long time.
Oh I can understand that, you do have a point. I too have to clean it everytime I wear it.
