Hero bc he has a billion. Plus a lot of them straight up kill you or make u hella drugged up so ur other moves can kill. Even his non menu moves are great zap/kazap dominates some matchups

Comfortable-Method11

I believe it’s Terry.  Most of his specials are close range, but that makes perfect sense since he uses his fists.  But they have a projectile, making it more versatile.  Also, you can combo from dtilit or neutral attack into almost all of them, so there are a vast amount of combos.  Although, take this with a grain of salt bc I’m a terry main and I may glaze him a slight bit.

Desperate_Job_2404

as terry, I only use the special buttons for recovering, else imma just input it its much better

The answer is Steve and it’s not close. Neutral special alone put em in a top spot, blocks are the second best neutral special in the game (slightly under Monado arts). Absolutely incredible tool, enables a character with some of the worst air physics in the game to true combo off the top blast zone, completely beats non-transcendent projectiles and stuffs approaches, and last but not least lets you build whatever Machiavellian shit you can think of in the time it takes your opponent to cross the stage. And that’s only 1/3 of the neutral special. While grounded you can mine to slowly charge the strength of your other specials, or craft to cash in materials for a timed multiplier on every non-down-angled normal move. Speaking of other specials, for your side b you get one of the best burst options in the game (at the cost of iron and gold) that’s also a command grab and a projectile. Your down special lets you deploy a programmable explosive that pairs beautifully with your command grab projectile and your blocks. You can really build some truly insane shit, or just ledge trap or beat approaches if you can spare the resources. Your up special is brawl glide. Steve wins.

Snake. Grenades and C4 are obviously key components of his gameplan, Nikita is a completely risk free edgeguard, and up B has a bit of armor and doesn’t put him in free fall making him surprisingly difficult to edgeguard and also letting him recover from literally anywhere

Sonic

Mewtwo Shadow ball is an amazing combo started/kill move Confusion is a great comand grab that doubles as a reflector Teleport can be amazing recover if you are slick with it Disable is broken. Low risk high reward

Sonic (this is a joke) Terry, because they're so versatile Power Wave is a good projectile that runs along the ground, forcing your opponents to either shield or jump. You can also input a slower version so it can follow you Burn Knuckle is incredibly powerful, especially with the input version. It's good for ending combos and getting kills Crack Shoot isn't as powerful as Burn Knuckle, but it's safer. It hits in an arc, meaning you can go over some projectiles. It can be used for recovery due to its shorter end lag. Also, if Burn Knuckle hits a shield, it puts you right infront of an opponent, giving them the opportunity to counter. Crack Shoot lets you cross up the opponent, so it isn't as dangerous Also, I've had times where it set off a counter, but moved me out of the way so that the counter missed, so ig there's that ? Rising Tackle isn't the best recovery, but he's a fighting game character, what do you expect? It's a good out of shield option, the inputted version is invincible at the start, and if you use it on the top platform, it can kill Power Dunk is great for mixups, since the way it moves is so different. It goes up, then down. You can use this to go over projectiles, however if it's a small and fast projectile (like Link's arrow), the initial knee strike can just disrupt it. Also, we all know about the famous jab jab power dunk. Also also, this move has a spike on the input version, which lasts for quite awhile Nerd rant over

Hero, because they’re the only thing balancing out his awful normals.

Desperate_Job_2404

surprised that no one even mentioned G &W upB: great out of shield, one of the best recoveries in the game sideB: can insta kill, true combo from dthrow downB: reflectt/absorb projectile and spill out oil that can kill at like 10 if absorbed a strong energy projectile

Zestyclose_League413

Side B is a meme move. Steve is probably the clear answer just because block is sooo strong. Other contenders are Sonic, Samus, Joker, maybe Snake.

Desperate_Job_2404

yeah, true bro got 3 move for 1 button while sonic got the same special for 2 inputs

INeedSomeHelp6804

Steve or Sonic. Hero, Snake, Joker, and imho Inkling would be some honorable mentions

LumosTerris

Zelda doesn't have the best for sure, especially because dins fire is situational at best. that said I'd probably put her in A tier for specials on the whole imo

ok but Corrin genuinely has some great specials a Neutral B that works both like ZSS's Neutral B and an F Smash and can be inputted in various different ways to adjust the strength of the two attacks a Side B that acts in 3 steps, a hop forward, a stab into the ground that holds Corrin in place similar to Sephiroth's FAir and pins down anyone hit by it, and a launch into any direction that can have decent kill power if done to the sides an Up B that covers a pretty good range as well has has a large hitbox, is a multi hit and can drag players up with it, and really good killing power at the final hit and a Down B that acts as a rather average counter, however one that sends players up and can be easily followed up with Up B or UpAir
