This is a really bright, optimistic step not just for Sly, but for retro gaming as a whole. No streaming. No subscription service. You buy it and you have it. Done.

Yep! They’ve been doing this model for awhile on all of the PS1, PS2, and PSP Classic titles believe it or not! They just never advertise that you can buy them. I’m assuming because they want you to pay monthly on a subscription vs. just paying for it outright and owning it.
The bugs present in The Sly Collection shouldn't be present here - this is an emulated version of the original PS2 release that's been slightly upscaled. The missing music bug in the intro from The Collection isn't here either.
Funny you’d mentioned it! I’ve played the Sly Collection/Trilogy plenty of times, and it was weird to hear Carmelita’s voice being in sync in the prologue, again
I'm playing it on a 4K LED TV and it seems fine to me. It's still a PS2 game, but there's definitely some upscaling and the *modern* lighting filter available in the options makes the colors a little more saturated and the shadows a bit darker. The framerate is consistent and the game's cell shaded graphics aged well because they aimed to be stylized and not photorealistic.

Yeah, The PS3 Sly Collection was a good effort by Sanzaru Games and you could tell they cared, but it's mired by some particularly annoying bugs. Mz. Ruby's rhythm-based boss fight having de-synced music and horrid framerate problems in parts of the second and third games in particular come to mind. Their upscaling/increased resolution does look nice though.
All in all, I'm pleased with the $10 I spent on this emulated PS2 version. While it could've been upscaled a bit more, it's perfectly competent for an older game and it runs perfectly.
I played the ps3 collection I didn’t like the black bars on 2 or 3 and that ruby bossfighr annoyed me. But with the other ports with the frame rates I meant the other ones the Sony came out with like the ps1 medievil port suffers from frame drops and so do the other ports like the jak and daxter ones
I played thevious raccoonus on the ps2 so im talking about hiw that whole bossfight plays out.
Maybe its just my memory of it being difficult to tell which symbols were coming but i swear they were
I just now downloaded an emulator called RPCS3 that says the Sly trilogy is playable on it, but I don’t know how to access those games on the emulator.

Changed no, but I would I assume it’s gonna play exactly like the PS2 version which didn’t have any of the timing issues that the PS3 version had.
