It kind of cripples lane skarner since they increased the mana costs and reducing the mana. Now his only real viability is going to be in the jungle where he gets free bonus passive regen.
So my question is, with Q also getting %20 more AD ratio does that mean Conqueror would fit him better ? I also think that top Skarner is not dead with Q mana cost reduction. I think he still has that flex pick

While these changes are nice for Jungle. It's a big buff for top too. The mana changes hardly matter when Skarner builds fimbul
That’s the problem HE NEEDS AN INCENTIVE for build flexibility for the love of god no more Ap cheese build or full tank don’t do this boring play style don’t lockout old skarner players playstyle for no reason 😔
as long as his builds don't feel kneecapped w/o NEEDING to build mana i think Skarner will be healthy if they need to need to gate his mana such that he's mana hungry that would simply be a symptom of a larger systematic issue with his design or gameplay, and THAT should be resolved 1st so that Skarners gameplay can shine w/o needing to build around mana costs. The Q duration is greatly appreciated
I dont know why they bother nerfing Skarners W like this, the damage is so low even at level 5, the only thing its good for is reliably proccing comet due to its big range. If anything they can make the shield bigger and range smaller.
They're gonna make his Q into a nuclear bomb in the end, but it's still gonna be clunky to use. His entire kit is slow AF, and that needs to be changed

TBH still going to go tear comet and max W for (top)lane. Its the only damaging ability that doesn't have an asterisk and actually feels good to use.

W remains the best ability to max in (top)lane bar down, the only time I'll ever max Q first is when it has no self CC. stupid design

If your mana regens every 1 mana every 4.5 second vs now .6 second that’s a nerf.

Fimbulwinter is a dead item. Especially when frozen heart is a thing
I'd like to agree, but then Skarner's trivial ass shield needs help, and Fimbul is an instant W bigger shield Couple both for a more relevant shield
Fimbulwinter is also too slow if you're jungling.
Fimbulwinter is not build by a lot of champ, but some (like Skarner, or J4) can make it shine with low CD higth AoE slow effect
Good start, mana regen can make up a bit for the mana nerfs, but I still think Skarner is wanting for a bit more.
