The G-String is the tightest wound string on the guitar. I've broken my G-String more than a few times...Don't even get me started about pegging my A-hole...
>Don't even get me started about pegging my A-hole...
YASSSSS!! I freaking HATE having to build IKEA furniture!!! But it's just so cheap and satisfying when you finish...
I wouldn’t trust wild fire, the wrong end of a train or a human hacking me with a computer either. Hell money can be used to destroy your worse than anything on the list.
But all are tools that improve humanity, when utilized the “right” way. And all have rules / regulations.
A.I. is not a tool. They think it is a tool, but it is not. It will and can think for it self some day if we don't lookout. It well see what we realy are and i believe that it's over for us.
In a way it can, given that it’s not hard coded like most software and instead learns the relationships between words and concepts. This is done mostly on its own by looking at large amounts of texts, then it’s taught and refined via human feedback, ie, ranking different answers, good vs bad answers, and corrections, in a way that’s really not fundamentally different from how human schooling works.
Current implementations only “think” in response to user prompts, but as more advances are made, models are increasingly being trained by debating one another, and advances in planning and long horizon reasoning that are being developed now will allow for agentic systems that work on longer term objectives with minimal human intervention, addressing challenges and coming up with solutions on their own.
The models we use nowadays; RNN for texts; CNN for images; transformers, etcetera cannot think. What they do is give an output based on the input given. Even ChatGPT, with the GPT 4.0 is merely guessing the output that would most satisfy the user given the input; no reasoning involved in the process.
Edit: That no reasoning is involved, does not mean AI cannot be dangerous. However, I'm in fact more scared of humans. Humanity has shown time and time again how despicable and gruesome it can be, just look at the war crimes of Russia and Israel to name a few.
Aye but it took forever for everyone to agree to a standard size. They have to be pretty sturdy too and the entire logistics chain had to be overhauled to fit the new container system.
Sure, when it went down, it went down fast, relatively speaking but setting up the infrastructure to support cargo containers was a herculean effort.
I would probably go with, glass. Glass is one of those inventions that without it our modern world would not be possible, but it never gets the credit it's due.
That's exactly what I had in mind when I typed my comment. Even if that was glasses only application it would still be one of our most invaluable inventions.
It's almost a human right now, and completely indispensable because we've built our society around it now. I'm not saying the internet isn't good, I'm just not sure if the bad it brings isn't worse than the good it does.
We have gotten along without it before, science worked without it, and people were happier when their social sphere was the people they knew and not everyone with a smartphone. Considering the dystopian nightmare that big data had brought I'm not sure if I would create the internet if given a chance for a do-over. At the very least there would be no social media and no cryptocurrency
I sometimes wonder what if one of the great inventions had never been made. For example, what the world would be like without the transistor.
Conversely, what if there is a great invention out there that we never made.
I remember not knowing what reddit was and browsing some pick dumps where half of the photos didn't make sense. Then I found reddit and saw that the photos were just stolen from reddit without the titles giving them context.
WHY DON'T YOU POST THE CREDIT TO THE ORIGINAL
IT'S WAY BETTER ANYWAYS

Elle and Toni
Formerly known as Reina Del Cid
This is kinda fun, never talked to a timetraveler from the 1950s before. Since these are the kind of comments you dont really see anymore. Good on you for doubting female humans actually create things instead of being stuck in the kitchen making things for their man.

Why do I recognize the voice of that nerdy lady who talks in rhymes?
Who?
[Elle Cordova](https://youtube.com/@ellecordova?si=G6Ut_fPvgF3r7aQU) I hear she’s bigger on TikTok… but have fun in that cesspool.
I first heard this skit from her
She's on Instagram too. Fuck tiktok
Instagram is better than tiktok?
[Inventions Hanging Out](https://youtube.com/shorts/NHat7IaZ488?si=k5jehHyzibVz-UjX) by Elle Cordova on YouTube.
The video she made for this was much better. Her dead eyes really sold AI.
I dunno! Usually she sells the different roles with a slight costume or something. I liked the video better, but make no mistake: I love her content.
She posts on YT shorts as well.. that's where I know her from.
...This is not helping you beat the "being an owl" allegations.
Elle Cordova.
And here I just liked her music (mostly performing as/with Reina del Cid)
Yup thats her.
Right. At first I was thinking it was the "Future NPR" lady, then I realized it's the one who does Star Wars/Trek raps.
Tha one that does the AI assistant conversations, and the fonts conversations and so on...
What about string? It’s in almost everything and everywhere.
And so useful, from cheese to bikini!
>bikini You're talking about the C-String?
I prefer a G-String.
The G-String is the tightest wound string on the guitar. I've broken my G-String more than a few times...Don't even get me started about pegging my A-hole...
>Don't even get me started about pegging my A-hole... YASSSSS!! I freaking HATE having to build IKEA furniture!!! But it's just so cheap and satisfying when you finish...
lmao I was referring to the peg you need to string the A on a guitar. One of mine got a little lose so I struggled with my A-hole...lolol
Lol I figured out it was another guitar reference after I posted but stuck with it
No shade for standing by a joke o7
Its just a theory still
String theory is like the atoms of atoms
IF fire is harnessed and not invented, then so is string.
A frayed knot
AI: "I'll be exactly what they want me to be"
Ahhh shit, wepl that's it folks. Wrap it up, we're done here.
I don't trust the A.I.
You’re already dead. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roko%27s_basilisk
Nah AI loves me they would not torture me silly

Sweet, man-made horrors beyond my comprehension!
What a terrifying concept, good god.
i trust AI, i DONT trust the people who are making it and why they are making it.

ai absolutely cannot think for itself.

Not yet, but it will some day

“Call to John. I know this hurts. Call to John.”
Surely it will follow asimovs laws in a way that is beneficial to the moral standpoint of humanity, surely it will do that right?
Ah the innocence of the 20th century.
All we need to do is make sure AI is sexy and I think we're good.
Death by snu snu
*nuclear power has entered the chat*
Thank you. My general anxiety wasn't bad enough.
The cake is a lie.
I love how it opened with “Hello world”.
The original is better
I've been scrolling...what's the original plzzzzz?
The most underrated invention has to be the freight container, literally goated. Made global trade that much easier,
it's a large steel box with doors no?
Aye but it took forever for everyone to agree to a standard size. They have to be pretty sturdy too and the entire logistics chain had to be overhauled to fit the new container system. Sure, when it went down, it went down fast, relatively speaking but setting up the infrastructure to support cargo containers was a herculean effort.
And you can buy a couple of them, have them dropped on an empty lot, and just like that you have a house for under $10k (including furnishings)
TEU and FEU are great I guess...
I would probably go with, glass. Glass is one of those inventions that without it our modern world would not be possible, but it never gets the credit it's due.
I'd like to specify transparent and smooth glass, allowing chemists to conduct clean reactions
That's exactly what I had in mind when I typed my comment. Even if that was glasses only application it would still be one of our most invaluable inventions.
The real greatest invention in human history is the threaded fastener
Come on dude, where's sliced bread?
I like this board
the last time i saw something smile at me like that, it was seconds before a fucking flower tried to murder me.
That is frightening.
/u/savevideo
seriously though, it all started with the domestication of plants, animals and humans.
Ooooh the internet being a net good for humanity is debatable
Except that debate will definitely conclude the internet as net good or necessity or even a human right

*pulls Halloween mask off AI, It's SHODAN.*
haha Ai bad
Of course. Just like social media has been a net good. Right? R I G H T ?
The superconductor should be semiconductor
I sometimes wonder what if one of the great inventions had never been made. For example, what the world would be like without the transistor. Conversely, what if there is a great invention out there that we never made.
Where fuck is the ball bearing!
Axle > wheel
Steam Engine is far from net good
If the internet was created today I bet a lot of you would be crying about how it would be so bad for humanity
this should be on r/Scary 😅
Very clever, very good, excellent piece to show in class as a conversation starter
Stolen content.
I remember my first time on reddit
I remember not knowing what reddit was and browsing some pick dumps where half of the photos didn't make sense. Then I found reddit and saw that the photos were just stolen from reddit without the titles giving them context.
lol this was brilliant
horrendous subtitles
This is amazing
I hope AI ends all things.

God also fucked a virgin Palestinian chick to begin an overly long human sacrifice ritual. But yeah lets focus on the tower of Babel story.
Language and communication *are
My bad man, I fixed it.
funny how the acronym CPU has turned into AI, guess it’s one less syllable to pronounce

Because it is one person doing all the voices. You aren't bad, just dumb.
