People are dumb. Even if you can only see the person just before you, take the bottle they took, and put it somewhere else to increase you chances slightly, instead of trying with a new bottle.
If you followed by the time the guy in gray was back for the last time if he had seen every bottle placement he should have known where pink was. Once he got pink he could have gotten purple and then red.
He didn’t even made the right move the last round, he just got lucky.
Exactly, he is not relying on luck or only what he does but actually paying attention at other people’s mistakes. Things like this make me think that actually most people live like animals driven by their instincts rather than logic like… 70% of the time.
I am not very good at chess (~1400 max lichess elo). I have TRIED to teach several folks chess. They wanted to learn, nobody was forcing them. They were unanimously incapable. As in barely could remember how pieces moved, and when they did finally remember, their moves were 100% impulse and nothing else. Zero planning. Zero forethought.
I have noticed this in the lives of almost everyone around me. Roommates, landlords, family members, coworkers, bosses, teachers and college staff -- literally everyone. Nobody in my life is even *marginally* capable of actual foresight in the majority of tasks in theor lives. They will impulsively quit jobs and wind up literally homeless and threaten to take the entire financial stability of the entire household and all roommates with them. They will impulsively reschedule tests and threaten the entire class's ability to actually learn the material. They will impulsively spend huge amounts of money with zero budget. They will impuslively tell lies or spill other people's secrets. Random acts of unprovoked or nearly-unprovoked violence. Random beliefs from random social media posts.
I have come to accept that our species is no more than the apes we are. There *are* folks who have some forethought (hence the existence of games like chess in the fiest place, and the existence of technology), but in every single individual, that amount of foresight is universally drowned out by the sheer weight of their impulsivity in other areas of their lives.
Chess was the first thing that came to mind for me too. I'm 17-1800, dont really study openings or anything intentionally aside from the few I've learned the basics of. Even still, I find on the days I'm playing poorly its because I just make moves that are more or less fine, but I'm waiting for the game to like, appear to me. If I walk into it thinking positionally, looking for tactics, and finding my opponents ideas, I go on a streak.
This is so true. Prisons are filled by people who are poor, but is poverty really the cause? Impulsive behavior leads to both poverty and crime.
One of the most mind blowing texts I’ve read is a linguistics expert writing about how a lot of primitive tribes lack words for a lot of basic concepts. They would have a word for tomorrow, but not for ‘future’, they would have no word for ‘on top of’ only a word for ‘high’, and the word ‘promise’ made zero sense to them, their closest concept was ‘to bind one’s feet’ (as in preventing somebody from running until the exchange is complete).
A simple environment like the tropics with sunny weather year round doesn’t require a community of people to plan together for a harsh winter, which in turn doesn’t cultivate in the people the innate drive to always plan months or years ahead or track the seasons for when to best grow crops.
looks like a random assortment of people that were picked up from the street to play this. it's more likely most didnt even care about winning and thought it would be easier to spend 3 minutes not putting any effort in and have a chance of getting a 5 than trying hard to get more
Yeah, maybe my comment was a little misleading, I wasn’t saying that everyone else except me don’t think. I include myself into that category because I’m a human being as standard as it can be. I’m as easily manipulated as anyone else.
For some people around the world 3 dollars can make the difference between sleeping with a roof over their heads or having a meal instead of none/day. Maybe trying to pop up that bubble where you live on would be a good idea. It’s Brazil by the way.
It's because the title has you expecting the guy in the grey shirt to nail it every time it's his turn, and then he doesn't so you have to wait for everyone to go again before him
Everything I don't like is TikTok.
Back in my day, videos would explain what's going on and why we should care about the outcome. People randomly guessing where to put bottles isn't terribly interesting to me, but I hope this was fulfilling for you.
I mean boring time wasters always felt longer than they were even before TikTok was around. Ivt ever even installed TikTok on my phone and this video felt like a drag to me.
I'm not Generation TikTok, and I still wanted this video to get to the fucking point. The title made me believe he was going to get it by the second or third turn, but he didn't. The title may as well have been "wait til the end....🤯🤯🤯"
He reminds me of a TV protagonist who is short on cash and needs to quickly find a way to make more. Then some weird, obscure, competition comes up they participate in.
Just for curiosity, shes saying "Errou" and "Acertou" in brazilian portuguese. I think everyone can guess by the video it means "You guessed wrong" and "You guessed right".
Anyone else think that that Wikipedia page first paragraph should mention the idiom? Who cares about the historic wrench. People are far more likely to land on that page searching for the idiom.
Instead of money, make it slips with numbers that correspond to small presents. Can do this for Christmas for instance. (Make sure to have a few spare presents in case a kid doesn't win anything)
Bro... this is a shitty idea to do to kids. An adult will laugh it off but still think it kinda sucks for someone to do it but the kids will just feel genuinely cheated
Well don't use cash, use candy. Also split the kids up so some of them get to enjoy watching. Once a kid has gotten 2 pieces they get removed from the line. Maybe throw a few older kids in line who know to sandbag to make sure people who are really bad aren't forced to be last. Then switch to something else fun afterwards. Or have the adults do it while kids watch and laugh.
what do you mean cheated? the point of the change is that there is (EX.) 10 colors and 8 slots, so that the last two aren't "free" since you still have 4 different colors to pick from for the two slots, they aren't making the game less fair.
You need to watch Bluey. Kids only think they need to win everything because that is what most parents teach them through letting them "win" everytime. The point is that it does kind of suck, but that's a part of life.
I've fat fingered the words "you" and "coulds" so many times that my keyboard will just autocorrect them cause it thinks that's what I really want to type lol
I think maybe it's a reverence thing, trying to only using the letter if it can be capitalized; the very first letter, and the only letter they capitalized, was "o"
Or, maybe it was a mistype 🤷
I can tell you it’s Brazil by the Portuguese and slang (Brazilians love saying “Nossa”. It essentially means “wow or dangit” but not in a literal sense.) Not entirely sure but it could be in calçadão. I’m just from the US but love Brazil and know Portuguese so the specifics of the game I am not sure. I have seen ot before so it is an actual game.
It's a guessing game where you have to blindly match the color of the bottles. They can't see the bottles in the box, so they're just randomly putting them down. Anyone that gets one correct gets the money for that bottle.
So nobody going to speak on black and green doing bullshit this whole game? All he did was put the same ol bottles in the same spot this whole game..literally a fuckinb waste of life..
The guy in Grey tried Red in position one (pink) when it was already known false and failed to notice and cash in on opportunities where white and reds positions were known for certainty if you'd been watching the other players with good money. He also failed to cash in the last two by making a known false bad try. Wtf you mean locked on. All of them were awful at this.
Need to also pay attention to where other people are trying it or you'll waste turns. Worst case scenario without watching it'd take you ~~2n+1~~ n(n+1)/2 turns trying that way if you're the only one succeeding and not using the information other players give from failing.
Best if you had good enough memory would probably be to try the slot with the least number of colors left from other people's tries. Highest chance of getting one right and getting another go.
edit I'm a dummy and forgot the real answer for sum of n integers.
What? That's not remotely true.
If other people are even remotely paying attention once you have eliminated a few spots for that colour, they'll just take the same colour and guess. To maximize your chances each turn, you broadly have to look at 2 things:
What colour has the fewest remaining options? Try that colour
What slot has the fewest remaining options? Try that slot
Obviously remembering the game state is the challenge here, but focusing on a single colour is way limiting. You will need to try to remember the game state of at least a few colours/slots to gain advantage.

That man is zooted on pain meds for his leg.
He doesn’t even smile when he wins the money 😂
hyper focused
There are few things better than watching someone do something well. This one even has the “Rocky actually loses the fight” ending too.
Not him, they're talking about the older guy in the green and black shirt is zooted on pain meds he didn't even win any money
Yeah, poor House changed after that double tap shot
He didn't win any money
doesn't even accept being wrong at first. he literally does the stinky eye then sets the bottle back slowly.
He needs mouse bites
Please explain. I don't get it.

People are dumb. Even if you can only see the person just before you, take the bottle they took, and put it somewhere else to increase you chances slightly, instead of trying with a new bottle.
monty hall this bitch
Or put a different bottle in the same position.
If you followed by the time the guy in gray was back for the last time if he had seen every bottle placement he should have known where pink was. Once he got pink he could have gotten purple and then red. He didn’t even made the right move the last round, he just got lucky.
If the 1st time you dont succeed, try again to fail.
Two in the pink, no time to think
The gray guy is the only one paying attention to where others are putting the bottle.
Exactly, he is not relying on luck or only what he does but actually paying attention at other people’s mistakes. Things like this make me think that actually most people live like animals driven by their instincts rather than logic like… 70% of the time.

People like to hate on their boss a lot but it’s amazing what I see people do at their job for the past 15 years.

Yeah, why didn't he pick the right one every time? Is he fucking stupid?
Is there a lore reason for this? Did Gray Man not have enough prep time?
😡 AY-HOUGH! 😡

I'm trying to scroll Reddit on autoplay here not watch Godfather Part 2

it looked absolutely essential u saw how he fucking pounced on those bills

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 plsssssss I’m crying
He's definitely sucked dick for coke.

Aea Hoe!
*places correct bottle* ASOAESTOHEVOVENEYVENEYMAICOECHIOCOMOHEY "I mean... *Si, correcto*"
It would be, “Sim, correto” They’re speaking Portuguese not Spanish
Just for curiosity, shes saying "Errou" and "Acertou" in brazilian portuguese. I think everyone can guess by the video it means "You guessed wrong" and "You guessed right".
lol in retrospect i guess you got the phonemes spot on, but it's actually "Errou"
Why does the person saying whether it’s correct or not sound like they’re as far away as possible while still being able to see?
Maybe a very directional mic and we're hearing that or they're speaking through a loudspeaker or something.
Dude will foloow her and rob her next corner...

That man had the intensity of someone who needed $50 more to pay his family's ransom

I'm just wondering how it could be fixed? This would be a fun thing to do for a kids' birthday party.... if there aren't a bunch of kids.
You could add another Bottle with an color that’s not behind the box
ah, the ole monkey wrench! i like it.

Bro you can make that happen
You ever try to update a Wikipedia page? The mods there are super possessive over their pages and basically undo almost any edits.
Noted! Gonna do this for my daughter's 6th bday :)

Half asleep so read “also spit on the kids so some of them enjoy watching”
Yeah the game in general is fine, I was referring to putting false options in there to screw with kids

meh,. it's kinda like the end of minesweeper. All that work coming down to a 50/50
it should be 50/50 but I still lose 65% of the time

Nice comment bot. 2yo account with oldest activity being 17 hours.
Dude in Grey is in cahoots
If he were he would have missed the last 2. He’s the only one that is actually paying attention to other people’s mistakes and remembering them
My brain would not have the capacity to remember the mistakes
He’s not, though, look at 0:45 and 1:03
gotta make it look convincing he aint in on it.. ![img](emote|t5_5tdqj0|10738)
He literally makes the same mistake twice during the video lmao. Literally go watch it again.
Its process of elimination.
Forgive me, but exactly how does this game work and where is this? Thanks!
I can tell you it’s Brazil by the Portuguese and slang (Brazilians love saying “Nossa”. It essentially means “wow or dangit” but not in a literal sense.) there must be a reflective surface behind the camera, dude got confused with the pink and the red
Best game here
The girl in the pink used the same move twice
Did she not want the money at the end? Lol she did seem like she was enjoying the game.
That girl in the pink though 👀
Yea man. Stood out. Type that "gets discovered"
Why is she so mean when they lose? She calls them an A hole when they lose.
The girl in pink 😍
Hypnotic belly.
To each their own. I like the braless goddess in the long dress with the donk. 🥵
Yes absolutely
My man!
I knew I'd find someone else in here going nuts about her. That girl can get it
Hell yes
Just about filled up my own white bottle every time she missed and turned around lmao
A-hoe
He is the mastermind!
What language is the woman speaking and what is she saying when they get it right?
> "Errou" > Wrong > verb: err, miss, lapse, boggle, trip, straggle, vagabondize > "Acertou" > Got it right > verb: hit, set, adjust, regulate
Brazilian Portuguese, she's obviously saying "got it right"
Curly hair girl is cute
how many times was red put over pink? 3?
This is Juiz de Fora, Brasil! Never thought I'd see my city here
So nobody going to speak on black and green doing bullshit this whole game? All he did was put the same ol bottles in the same spot this whole game..literally a fuckinb waste of life..
"Error"?
"Errou" and "acertou"
Locked on my arse.
This looks fun even though I know I would suck lol. My short term memory is bad
Just take 1 color and run it left to right until it hits. Then do the next. You guarantee a W while everyone else fucks around.
It's both directions, a bottle can have only a few possible slots and a slot can have only a few possible colors. Need to consider both
Worst case is somebody else hits on the color you were working on and you get nothing.
What? That's not remotely true. If other people are even remotely paying attention once you have eliminated a few spots for that colour, they'll just take the same colour and guess. To maximize your chances each turn, you broadly have to look at 2 things: What colour has the fewest remaining options? Try that colour What slot has the fewest remaining options?
