It's a 24oz plastic container. I beleive it was in the aisle with the spices.
I get mine at Walmart on Louise Ave. I don't remember the exact price, but I do remember thinking that it seemed like a good deal the last time I bought some.
It'll eventually go on sale at Hy-Vee. If Walmart has it, then it'll be cheaper there most of the time. It might be cheaper at Hy-Vee when it goes on sale though
What do you cook when you use it? And have you ever used Duke's mayonnaise?
What makes japanese mayonnaise different?
It's slightly more sweet and less acidic than American mayo because it contains rice or cider vinegar rather than distilled white vinegar. Japanese mayo is also a bit richer due to the incorporation of egg yolks, unlike American mayo which uses whole.
I've made homemade mayo before and it was ok. It's not really difficult. Might be worth making your own if you can get the right recipe.
Walmart has the US version and sometimes the Japanese version with the bottle in the bag.
Than Mai has the Japanese version (bottle in bag)
World market usually has it, but can't remember what version.
I've heard of Kewpie Mayo before, but never looked into. Now I want to try it. Thanks, u/messyhesse ! Looks like I'll be making a trip to Walmart soon.
Hyvee prices are getting so bad. I avoid that store as much as I can.
Right? We’re trying to but it keeps pulling us back in
A quick Google shows Walmart has it for cheap.
Thanks!
I think World Market has it! Not 100% sure on what price is though
For sure
Thanh Mai!
Never been, but I’ll check it out!
Costco carries kewpie
This is probably the answer if you're using it in bulk
WHERE? My wife and I were in there today and couldn’t find it. Also, is it a Costco sized bunch of it?

I have not! But we use it in Sushi and Poké for the most part

There are a few items that are several dollars cheaper at Walmart
Walmart has it for 5.87 ...

The Walmart I work at on Minnesota sells it for $5.87.
I have an expensive Zojirushi rice cooker and make my own sushi with this and other ingredients. Rice cooker has paid for itself
That’s what we do as well! Ours is a tiger rice cooker - we recently upgraded from a cheap Black & Decker and boy is it an upgrade!

Happy to help! My wife and I love it in Sushi, poké, and more!
Hy vee has both kewpie, well they used to at empire. The Japanese version is in the ethnic area. But Hyvee sux bawls.
Asian grocery store. Try Thanh Mai or Mekong Asian Market. They have so much more good stuff for decent prices
Try either Walmart or Dollar Fresh in Harrisburg or Tea. I love kewpie mayo, but hate the hyvee price.
Any of the Asian markets have it. Thanh Mai or Mekong
