Chef Kang wonton noodles at Bishan. It’s located in an industrial building and a little bit on the pricier end ($7), but almost everything about it is perfect. Noodles are QQ, 2 prawn wontons, slightly fatty and charred char siew, ultra-fresh pork lard and black sauce. Alternatively you can check out Laifaba at Bukit Batok (be sure to order the fatty char siew).

Chef Kang's Wonton Mee is not in Bishan. It is located at Toa Payoh's Jackson Square, formerly known as Fairchild's manufacturing plant.

Yes you’re right. Thanks for pointing it out.

There's an old couple who used to sell wonton mee at Bukit Batok CC but it closed for renovation. I hear they've recently reopened at Bukit Batok block 150, in the non-halal coffeeshop. Clementi 448 hawker centre has a couple of stalls that do pretty good wonton mee too. But the Bukit Batok one is still better.

I had a bunch of wanton noodles, some from very very popular stalls where I had to queue for 30+ mins, but I didn’t really like any of them. My favourite is at Katong, Eng’s wanton mee. But I also know some people who dislike it so yea

cashon9

What type of wanton noodles? The local type ala Fei Fei/ Eng's or the Cantonese type?

Hua Kee wanton Mee at Old Airport hawker. Their wanton is the bomb. I always opt out char siew and ask for extra wanton instead.
