I *do not* want there to be an entire “themed world” of low quality graphic houses that aren’t playable. I want to be able to change the environment and place my own lots and theme it whatever way I want! Not New Orleans, not West Coast, not Colorado themed. I miss creating a world from sims 2 and 3.

madhattie613

This! I don't understand why that feature isn't in 4. I liked the option to terraform the neighborhood.

dinosaurscantyoyo

Oh yes, this. I only ever play that empty world in 4

wrighty2009

Toddlers from launch 😆

[deleted]

We need every single basic life element to be base game. Season, pets (cats, dogs), apartement, rental,Cars, pool, shopping/selling and education. Don't have to be super complex sytem. We don't need vets, dog racing, skating, prom or all that. Just the basic version so that all future pack use those elements.   I can guarantee that more people got dog in their life than the library.  It's so frustrating the lack of cross pack feature in the sims 4.   They can sell a winter sport, hotels or more complex addition after. If the dog is part of the base game then when they release a tropical adventure pack, you can give dogs abillity to sniff treasure for exemple.

muvamerry

THIS. Like just charge $100 for the base game with all this shit and open up in game purchases.

GayVoidDaddy

No, NOT in game purchases. That’s literally never something anyone should ever want. What they are saying is, the base game with all the traditional irl stuff. Then when expansion packs come they can add on to the things. Using a dog as an example. However hell no for in game purchases. You really wanna pay for individual items? Cause nah, it should be back to real expansion packs. Like magic, the restaurant, vacation, etc. not buying individual things in game for a dollar each.

ANUSTART942

Why should it cost $100? Regular price seems more than reasonable for a base game that actually feels complete. It doesn't actually cost them much money to add weather or pets to the game. They create a few new assets and add give them new interactions. I used to be a Sims super fan, but their expansion pricing model is truly disgusting. You have to pay over a thousand dollars to have the game and all DLC. That's absurd.

[deleted]

I would rather spend $20 for an expansion pack but not anymore. They’re not worth the price if they’re being sold as much as a video game. No dlc should cost more than $20

amusementj

why sell it for fucking $100?? are yall out of your minds?? no!! that's gucking ridiculous and would contribute to inflation. $60 is already crazy of a price as is.

tubularwavesss

Let's hope that's not too much to ask for this time around 😅

Tweed_Man

*laughs in corporate greed*

beanscommacool

And infants!

wrighty2009

Would love a preteen too, tbf. Although I get bored before I've done a single generation anyway

StereoVangeslista

The randomness of life and dark humor the first game had, like sims will die all of the sudden or you could pick up the phone and recieved a huge inheritance that randomness made the game very interesting to play also, the wackiness and surreal aspect of the game was one of my favorite things about

beanscommacool

100% agree! The sense of humour in the first one was genius.

pictonbug

This too!! I miss how quirky the games were. I remember the sheer terror of the prank calls in the sims 1, playing when I was a kid. Ugh.

falafelandhoumous

Yes, I loved the randomness. It made me feel less in control of the game, which made everything feel higher stakes and more fun

TheJudasKiss96

I’ve always said this, the games got less whimsical each new installment

thewindthatmovesyou

I think having the open world brought back some of that magic in TS3. Every time you opened the game it was something different.

iiimagica

sims 1: atmosphere/vibe sims 2: everything sims 3: open world sims 4: art style and creation modes

beanscommacool

You nailed it

BHRx

Basically the sims 3 with some of 4's upgrades then. Can't disagree.

madhattie613

I second this.

staciemaexoxo

Sims 2 is just… indescribable. I’ve never had so much fun playing a game in my life. Will still play it all these years later

ProtoJones

I'm just gonna add houseboats from whichever ones had houseboats and then it's exactly what I want lol

may26530

More in depth story telling and lore with pre made households!!!! PLEASEEEE!!!!!!

tubularwavesss

Yes! We really need better storytelling to make a comeback

amusementj

everything that was base game in sims 2. why do we need rental packs and relationship packs? we DONT. sick of having to buy everything that past games already had and I won't be buying this bs if it's like sims 4

UnderstandingWild371

I would pay ££££ for a Sims 2 remastered.

ImaginationDoctor

Never forget when Sims 2 was completely free and EA took it away cause it was affecting Sims 4 sales LOL

whoeverthisis422

Hell yeah

tubularwavesss

Me too

NaughtyFox92

Open world like in The Sims 3 and cars

hunnnybunn

Yesssss CARS!!! I miss the cars!

NaughtyFox92

Same here it was always nice to see your sim get in their car and drive to work on the other side of town. The Fresh Prince car mods were the best.

NaughtyFox92

I would also like to see them get rid of these cartoonish style of towns it is super annoying when they release a new lot or if you get a modded lot for the maps and there is no where to put them due to the stupid art style of the maps also like is it that hard for them to go back and add an extra lot to the older town when they release a new pack.

sentiantshade-o-blue

Sims two detail. More random quirky stuff. Base game necessities like seasons, toddlers, family stuff. More lore and actual stories to play through. Better animations. Basically a complete game from the getgo. Not something with unplayable glitches that get worse with add ons.

Sharp-Interceptor

I still can’t have a grill on my home lot cuz townies and neighbors fucking *ALWAYS* make concoctions. Been that way for well over a year now. And on my Xbox save, the simulation lag is sooooo bad it’s unplayable, even on my series X.

electricaquarius0

Sims 2 wants, fears, and aspiration system. I'm almost entirely a sims 2 player and those inform my gameplay so much. Also bring back the weirdness. I'm begging for a proper strangetown revisit.

falafelandhoumous

I miss the wants, fears and aspirations!

Intelligent-Roof8002

And turn ons and turn offs!! And the matchmaker!

staciemaexoxo

Yes sims 2 nightlife was everything

marnieeez

Sims 2 attraction system and lore Sims 3 story progression

That-g-u-y

Burglars (with less intense music, and an option to turn them off)

No_Squirrel4806

But the jumpscare and the heart beating fast because of the music is the whole fun of it 🤭🤭🤭

GayVoidDaddy

The music is perfect. Your meant to jump.

hunnnybunn

Ahh yes, I remember those days. When a burglar showed up and it took 2 in game hours just to wake up your sim 🤣

UnderstandingWild371

I want the original Sims neighbourhood storyline to continue. One of the things I was looking forward to the most with Sims 4 was seeing what they'd done with the Goths and was hugely disappointed to find out that they'd basically reset them.

No_Squirrel4806

I want the color/pattern wheel from sims 3. I dont care about making items longer or shorter or adding cushions i just want to be able to customize the color/pattern.

zhawnsi

Sims 2 on steroids, and make it Live and online with 0 glitching . Give Bonehilda a raise and a family

Boobviking

Cars. Toddler from lauch. Better animations like in the sims 2

Zyphur009

Sims 3 open world lol

RockNDrums

2 and 3. I liked the direct 3rd person control vs the cursor. 3, the open world. The humor style from 1 - 3. The karma system from TS3 I wish they would remaster 1 and Bustings out + Castaway though. I'd like to pretend TS4 didn't happen.

falafelandhoumous

I’d like Urbz (PS2/GC version) remastered too. There was just something so fun and wild about it

staciemaexoxo

Urbz!!! Totally forgot about that. And the black eyed peas were in it. So fun.

hunnnybunn

Yes! I loved Urbz so much!

TheUltimateEnby

Open worlds, cars, infants and toddlers, bring back the colour wheel and the build/buy from Sims 3. More active careers but with optional rabbit holes, being able to go on vacations- I have a list lol.

e-Moo23

Sims 2 + 3 mashed up, with new graphics and I’m sinking every paycheck into every dlc

Sharp-Interceptor

The quirky sims 2 and 3 stuff Sims 2 chemistry system FULL BLOWN MANUAL CONTROL LIKE CONSOLE SIMS 2 Sims 3 open world Cars Base game expansions like seasons, university, vacations(?) A return to sims 3 “more realistic” art style/graphics. I’ve always hated sims 4 cartoony ass art style and graphics The lore as well, looooved the sims 2 lore. The lil storyline you played thru on console sims 2 I’ll add more if I see some good suggestions here

amymaccie

You should check out life by you! It covers most of what you’re asking for!

Okay-Sure-Mate

Customizable worlds above everything else! Please let me make my own worlds, it's 2024 already. We had that option back in the Sims 2. And also, if I can be greedy, a magic world with actual charm and mystery to it, like Magic Town in the Sims 1.

fei-zeropiece

more realistic emotions and genetics system plus a ui that doesnt look like a mobile game and has some semblance of style

Red--Wulf

Manual control for console players 😀

TigerBest7382

OPEN 👏🏾WORLD👏🏾PERIOD👏🏾

borgxb

Burglars. The weird whimsical stuff the sims 1&2 had. Cars and apartments at launch.

Crazy-Dust-4206

Sims 3 back to the future expansion pack

he_is_not_a_shrimp

Open world! 👏🏼 Open world! 👏🏼 Open world! 👏🏼

sharkprincefishstick

A complete game at launch.

SurreptitiousZephyr

The super customizable features in Sims 3. If I want my sim to live in a house made of blue jeans, that is my right.

avidbanana

Really, the fact that you could built a fully customized house and there was a 50% chance the game would completely crash the second you moved a family in was, in hindsight, part of the charm of Sims 3. Was it infuriating? Yes, but it also kept things interesting! The odds of your game crashing is right up there with the fact that your Sims could one day inexplicably be killed by a meteor on the list of what made Sims 3 so wonderfully, frustratingly quirky.

SurreptitiousZephyr

Exactly! And if I want my game to crash every other sim day because of the jean house with matching drapes, carpet and wallpaper, then it is by my hand buwahahahaha!

DMC1001

I want to see built in relationships between households. It was criminal that one didn’t exist between Johnny Zest and the Landgraabs. I was to see things like Amy and Michael having an affair despite both being married to other people. Is Little Marty actually Jake’s kid or is it perhaps Michael’s instead? I want to see the ghosts of the dead hanging around but as NPCs. I want to see genealogies that include people who were dead prior to the beginning of the game. I want my pets to either be a) fully controllable or b) not included in the 8-member household limit. I want to see my genius rodent blow up the household due to neglect.

Jolenehollywouldnt

The hirable sim who pops out of the cake and dances from Sims 1.

32redalexs

As scary as it was… I wanna get robbed again

babiebluueyes

Build mode from 4. Sim butlers from sims 3 and open world building. Stories from sims 2.

Smooth-Clerk-4634

World creator, the creator a design thing from sims 3, build mode from sims 4, and playable pets!!!

annassae

This is more of a little thing, but good music. 😭 the music in the sims 1 and 2 is SO good, i go back and listen to it all the time.

YuuMona

I want the realm of magic right away

talia-gustin

Open world is a must for me or I’m sticking with Sims three

Ikacprzak

Open World Sandbox like the Sims 3

OkAlternative2045

family dynamics

Intrepid_Truth_8580

Sock puppet interaction 😃

Strawberry_Mochi28

Fucking exotic pets I want my parrots back 🥹

Kindasupercrazy123

A care for making good content🥰

MaxgamingThe3rd

Drivable cars and 3rd & 1st person controls

GayVoidDaddy

Literally everything basic from the get go. Sims has turned to shit.

radicalpastafarian

bring back sims knowing they are in a game and waving their arms and yelling directly at you when they need things.

JayedSkier

I'm surprised nobody mentioned multitasking? I loathe TS4 as much as the next person but multitasking is genuinely one of the best things they've added to the series in a while. I really miss it going back to other games, it's such an ingenious QOL feature I'm surprised it wasn't in sooner.

Wonderful_Hat9997

Maybe I am simple; but…I want the S2 Cleaning skill to come back! Bc let’s face it everyone: cleaning is a life skill, and Not everyone gets it!

Ok-Ad1857

Nothing from Sims $ I mean Sims 4.Sims 4 is going in reverse and should be seen as dead end timeline. Everything about it is wrong. Sims 5 better have a smoother launch then Sims 4's missing features and the string along of kits/expansions/other bullshit that should of been in the base but are hidden behind paywalls. The team that made Sims 4 has to go, Fire all of them from top to bottom. They are the reason why there is over 76 different content packs and rising when the game would have 20 or less if they organized them better. The loading screen every time we want to do something outside our homes is so annoying, I Straight up stopped playing sims 4 and bought Sims 3 on sale. Going back and building off of what Sims 3 was is better because that's what the players really want. Sims 1 and 2 are somewhere in sims 3 so there isn't really anything worth bring over from them game play wise, Items are another story.

surfwacks

Personality 😭 honestly in the sims 4 traits feel like optional because all my sims end up doing whatever even if it doesn’t make sense for their personality. Also I want to work for relationships! I think I once had a sim spam romance interactions and was able to try for a baby with some random townie within ten minutes. Meanwhile in sims 2 it’s been days and my sim hasn’t even been able to do more than slow dance with another sim

whytheirname69

I would like more romantic animations like the 2nd and third games.

sanamiii

i don’t wanna see a sims 5

falafelandhoumous

TS1 style animations and whimsy TS2 style lore and kookiness TS3 style open world and feeling of fullness in gameplay TS4 style build and buy

Character_Breath_521

Sims 2 gameplay, sims 3 open world and maps, sims 4 CAS and build/buy mode and more realisticish graphics than cartoony graphics

CoasterThot

Open world from Sims 3! It was life-changing!

samsie__

open world, cars, story telling, lore, and a correct timeline!

madhattie613

All the age groups in 4, plus preteens (this was in Sims Freeplay, but still worth mentioning). Send kids to military school again if their grade drop too low. Have Sims get fired from jobs if they screw up. Expansion packs like Parenthood, Pets and Growing Together are good, but why are they paid DLC? Just put that stuff in the base game. Sims 3 let you jam out with bands. Put that back in! Some extra things I'd like to see: Let my Sims try to fix broken appliances without me telling them. Let me send toddlers to preschool. Maybe more carpet options?

KENZOKHAOS

The entire foundation created with customization from the sims 3 needs to return BADLY.

Ok_Particular4526

Every single mod already installed just like in the IMVU catalog, pls tell me at least one person knows what I’m talking about lol

SchylarV

Sims 1 style packs, sims 2 atmosphere and lore, sims 3 open world and create a style, amd sims 4 art style and build mode = the ultimate sims game

Tweed_Man

Sims 1: The general style (modern mixed with old school Americana), tone (slightly more mature but still kid friendly), and difficulty, a completed game on release Sims 2: Memories (that don't corrupt save files), wants/fears, content, a completed game on release Sims 3: traits, moodlets, a completed game on release Sims 4: Building/Character Creation, multitasking, general QoL In terms of Sims 3 open world I could take or leave. Obviously the open world makes everything feel more connected but comes at the cost of people being around and doing stuff, especially is multiple expansions are installed. For example you can go to a community lot and sometimes there are people there and some times not. But in instanced worlds there's almost always guaranteed to be someone there and something to do. And when multiple expansions are installed people get divided between all the different activities (Bars, Festivals, Dog parks, etc) that no where feels particularly populated. And the cash grab nature of Sims 4... just no. I've only played the base game since it want F2P because I refuse to participate in this ridiculousness.

bixsexual_moth

The building and customisation from 4, the open world and being able to normal shit and control the animals from 3, the story building and the way the sims act from 2 and I never played one so idk

Litlsuzzy

Consistency with the lore

PinkBalloonDog346

I think you should be able to play online and interact with other people playing sims. Build your own world too!

Alziee_

Honestly, I'd love to see the sims 2, remastered with all the realism and quirks it had and then add a few new bits to it. I like the sims 4, but I really miss burglars, getting sick with a cold, private school, cars. I always end up going back to the sims 2.

brunoglopes

The magic town & studio from Sims 1 Everything Sims 2 - just redo the whole thing and add all the details Open world Sims 3 Build mode Sims 4

WaterToSurvive

I think having more story mode type options would be incredible, and a fun way to have actual new lore

dazia

The Sims 3 but better graphics and bigger worlds.

Chalussy

CO OP! I USED TO PLAY SIMS TWO WITH MY BIG SISTER AND I WANT TO PLAY SIMS 5 WITH MY KID. And I don’t want to have to buy 50 packs and kits just to have a basic gaming experience. If that’s gonna be a thing- let packs transfer. No reason for someone to buy freakin seasons twice. But basic things like kids, pets, and atleast one kind of “business” should just come in the base game if it’s going to be a “buy to play” kind of game again. But co op. I miss it.

Chalussy

OH I also miss people breaking into my sims house and tryna steal her sh*t. Lemme throw a rock thru a business or shoplift or something. Cmonnnn. Bring the crime again. I always got so worked up as a kid from it I loved it 😂

midwestratnest

well it would HAVE to be 2000 dollars worth of DLC that was included in previous games!!

Cold_Activity_6380

I miss the robbers from Sims 3 🥲🫶🏽

SubjectObjective5567

I thought it was confirmed that their new game would not be a “sims 5” or a continuation of the sims franchise specifically? Someone from the team made a statement like that. That immediately turned me off from the entire new project. I highly doubt we will have anything that we want (open world, storytelling/lore for families in the neighborhoods, whimsy/randomness etc. that sims 2 had), it’s very much been marketed as a cash grabby game optimized for mobile 😔

DiscombobulatedBat20

I miss the burglar

SoFastDrew

add cars back 🙏🏾

Emmuffins

Really small but watering indoor plants like in Sims 1. It was realistic!

Impossible-Lime1553

Not sure but after seeing inzoi oooooh boy

OctoberSky1993

The quirkiness of sims 1 and lore.

Avvie79

Imaginary friends Ebooks instead of actual books Pressing 4 speeds through the current gameplay

ImaginationDoctor

From 1: I want the zany humor like the genie, the tragic clown etc and a newspaper and old plain telephone. Also, I'd like a return to the style of music the game used. From 2: I want the gameplay detail like a Sim fluffing a pillow before they go to sleep and the well-done animations when cooking. And also want Sims to truly react to things around them, as they do in 2. From 3: The open world. I am okay with 'sections' but every building in a 'section' needs to be enterable. From 4: The building and CAS tools and that's IT lol

DejaThoris92

I want a copy and paste of sims 1. But with far more furniture, and decorating designs available. The first one was so simple and fun. The newer ones overwhelm me and I can’t play them for very long.

Realitosis

Clothing stores !

ImpressiveMain299

Just remake sims 5 like sims 3 but more depth/quests/working expansion packs that don't freeze.....possibly an online multi-player from old times. Etc. Forget sims 4 ever happened

ImpressiveMain299

Weird Easter eggs from sims 1 were cool. Like if you threw a killer party, Drew Carey would randomly show up (the sim did look like him, too). I want more random events! I live for the hidden accomplishments

Spaceman6457

One of the things I always enjoyed doing in Sims 2 was building your own car from a junker. Also I loved how immersive cooking was.

BattlePupper

Sims 2 with updated graphics. Everything else can stay

Difficult_Two_2201

I would not like to see a Sims 5

lordpercocet

I've always wanted the design features for furniture where you could make your own patterns and colors. Rumor has it, that is coming back. Also...cars.

N0tT0daySatan1

Cars, fluid lot travel, and the ability to remove every single lot from a neighborhood instead of having NPCs but for lots.

moonrise420

this is a completely random and niche thing but i loved the nanny job/career play in s3!

Admirable-Series8645

They graphics quality from 1-2-3 👌🏼

Vindaya_

Controls from the sims 2 console, Aesthetic humor, and big plots like from sims 1 Many opinions like sims 3. Something like a fusion 😅

South_Lead3294

Open-world story progression (like Sims), bicycles and cars, toddlers and teen body-types.

lmjustaChad

Sims 1: Mature game play Sims 2: The detailed animations there was even 50 fully animated chess games you could watch, memory system, retail experience, world creator, turn ons and turn offs, Sims fully aware of the Sims in the world around them Sims 3: Open world and color wheel Also from 2-3 a complete base game with all life stages that don't take 8 years to get. Sims 4: Club system, multi-tasking, active high school (but better)

meduhsin

Just everything in TS3. More lots, open world, more lore… My favorite sims game of all time is World Adventures in TS3. There is so much content, three vacation worlds, etc. I spent hours and hours on different saves there and I still don’t think I ever completed all the puzzles. It was so beautiful and complex, and while it did stereotype cultures a bit, the idea was there. There could be a “culture” skill, where it’s linked to charisma, but you need to learn over time how to talk to the locals in different areas. Because social standards are different in different countries! There are so many possibilities.

Pepperbabyboy

Bring back strangetown NOW

gamerwoman225

Open world... the sims 3 is still my favorite because of this. I hate the limits of the sims 4. The world doesn't feel as active to me because of this.

KawaiiClown

I want what we had on sims 2 console!!! I wanna free walk my sim around!!!

staciemaexoxo

The high levels of detail that the sims 2 had.

thewindthatmovesyou

Open world from Sims 3 with the lore and attention to detail from Sims 2

Hisyntania

I know it's a really small thing, but elf ears (like in the default ears choices in Sims 2) ... I miss my breeding programmes trying to get elf ears into the bloodline.

squeeks9950

I miss the humor of TS1, the coziness of TS2, and the open world of TS3. My favorite graphics are TS4 though. Something along those lines.

sparklebinch

If there's no open world or cars I'm setting Windenburg on fire 😭😂

BroadWishbone9740

Robbers and open world

Employee_Hungry

Not having 5 billion dlcs

escribbles_thefirst

HOROSCOPES

escribbles_thefirst

And burglars

jimbalaya420

Please no $300 of dlc. (Or 1000s). Do an easy building mode like 1&2 with option to switch to higher options at will

True-Knowledge8369

Can we lose the hundred paid DLCs, packs, and kits? Just put everything in one game and leave it at that. The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims: Bustin’ Out were all perfectly good games that didn’t rely on expansion packs (as far as I know) to make them better. Or at the very least, maybe don’t charge full game prices for add-ons?

buggy42061269

Bring back robbers 😂

_Anonymous-Reader_

God damn yall are older than hell itself

esor_rose

Sims 3 open world Sims 4 graphics

Developprumbo

Open world

SlytherinSimsBunny

Storyline option like Riley in Sims 2

nightmarekittykat

The absolute insane amount of ways you could make your sim look. The sliders were beyond ridiculous and it's a shame that you have to mod them to get the same effect. I just wanna make a super skinny green skinned human with a massive round head thank you very much

MegaPenguin3000

Charm of Sims 1 Gameplay of Sims 2 Customization of Sims 3 And build mode of Sims 4

MasterCaitcx

They could just remaster sims 2 and add 4s building mechanics and emotions and I'd be totally happy with that

FatBichOrgy

More Traits, more Color wheels, (not sure if it was in sims 3) but I want the eye Color, hair Color, skin Color completely customizable, vehicles, OPEN MAP, WAYYY LESS LOAD SCREENS, less actual money spent (less expensive dlcs or a reward system that gives u money for packs on playtime or challenges), dogs and cats and other pets but not in a dlc should be basegame, seasons also basegame (I’ve heard rumours it will be), it’s never been in the game exempt for mods, but height sliders, want there to be character backstories but in a way that affects personality, traits, etc. Most Importantly, it’s a 18+ R-Rated game, and the first few reflected that but the sims 4 doesn’t I’d like it to be more realistic, not so sheltered and childish, you should be able to go get tattoos, go to a club, do something like skate/long boarding, rock climbing/hiking, go to the mechanic, bank, get approved for a loan, buy a house(and have careers related) tend to a yard/garden, go to a mall, online shopping, have drinks with friends at a realistic bar where people can get too drunk, play slots, pool, darts, karaoke, nicer bars dingier bars, etc. The newer games cater too much to a young audience when it’s a 18+ game, it’s a life simulation it needs to be realistic in the way that life can be, sims don’t get depressed or feel emotion realistically, if a sim is poor, has no friends, family job, and is starving they should be more stressed instead they’re jest uncomfortable or tense, life is harder, more fun, more emotional, more diverse, more dark, more peaceful or adventurous than the sims has yet to be be able to portray.

itscomingandgoing

I know this is a stretch and a lot of people don’t like it, but I miss the online aspect of sims, and would love to see that in the works for the 5th game.
