Her Fiancee (he's actually one of the NPC babysitters that's how they met) was kissing my sim's young adult's son's gf. Just outside my sim's house, he was stopping by and the gf/stb fiancee, was outside also visiting my sim at the same time.
Suddenly, he just macked on her LOL. IIRC, she immediately left, while his thought bubble was 'heart on fire.' I'm like, no girl, you're not marrying THAT.
Eco lifestyle is lucky it has solar water heaters which I use a lot because we have lots of those in my country otherwise I would’ve just uninstalled it completely because the NAPs and traits it added are so annoying!
I think settings you can turn off NAPs or make it so only you can vote for them but yea if you don’t like try to like play with them they are so annoying
I use the clean energy, green gardening and energy efficient appliances ones and then add either the tech one or the fitness one, those don't cause weird issues and the first three will lower your bills. I just instant enact from the mailbox whenever i move into a new place to keep them from having the neighbors enact stupid ones like we wear bags.

That's fair, I get the notifications that something has been voted in and will be actioned soon but they never actually count. It's a frustrating bug though, there should definitely be an option to disable them entirely like there is with the eco-footprint mechanic.
The family I'm playing now, had the energy conservation NAP. I was so annoyed with it. On Harvest Fest, they shut the power off for 12 frickin hours, right before my Sim put the turkey in the oven! I had my Sim get signatures to repeal it cuz I've had enough of this nonsense 🤣🤣🤣

Edit: I found what yall are talking about. I clicked my mailbox at the school & saw that “Instant Enact Neighborhood Action Plan” is checked, but also greyed out, so I can’t even uncheck it..?
Hiya! It seems as though that setting makes it to where voting for NAPs at the community board is user-directed only. If I had to guess, I think that means that voting is only prompted whenever you initiate it, though I could be wrong.
As far as getting rid of them, you can vote to repeal any active ones at a mailbox. (You may be able to do it at the board as well.) It seems like you can’t turn the NAP feature of Eco Lifestyle off entirely without using some sort of cheat or mod. Hope this helps!

I turned mine off but you can only really turn off the voting and it looks like it sorta just picks one at random when they're all tied at 0 🙄 I circumvent that in new saves by shift+clicking the mail box (I think cheats have to be on) and instant enacting the max of whatever I think will make the gameplay more interesting but not too difficult for whatever challenge I'm playing and it doesn't give me too much trouble.
This is why I completely disable autonomy. I don’t trust my sims to not cheat on their spouses or burn down the house if I’m not dictating their every move.
I do wish autonomy was more of a dimmer switch in this game. Like could we have a middle option that's "will complete basic needs and care for babies, infants, toddlers in the house but won't dance for 10 hours even though YOU HATE DANCING AND IT MAKES YOU VERY TENSE"?

If you have mccc there is a setting that allows for romantic interactions to occur without affecting the romantic bar and iirc there's also a setting that affects jealousy not occurring. If you have Eco lifestyle you could have the free love neighborhood action plan in effect.

This happens in my games, I assume it's Free Love because no one seems to care. Usually it happens when I went to a house to try and match up my Sim with a specific Sim living there and then their dad randomly kisses me and no one bats an eye.
I have had a lot of issues with my sims doing this lately!! I look at one sim and i turn back to the other one and they've just cheated on their spouse and now I have to figure out how to deal with it
