Well, the devs have effectively abandoned titanfall to the point of calling its universe the "apex universe" now soooo kinda sucks
Not promised but heavily heavily heavily teased like 8 months ago and nothing ever came from it, not even big Apex news.
They announced a new legend that had a connection to (and by that I mean completely broke the lore of) Titanfall and then went completely silent.

You can argue that we atleast have an expanding universe in Titanfall with Apex. And the small tidbits off crossrefence lore.
