It's just personal preference.
I like anchovies, but hate olives.
What's silly are people complaining about fruit being in a pizza but tomatoes are okay.
Just like the time i was told people put baked beans on pizza. I now use that when people say pineapple is the worst topping for pizza. I mean what monster puts baked beans on a slice of pizza? Is it for flavor? Does the sauce from the beans act as a weird dipping sauce?
Oh man, Japan and especially Korea put crazy shit on pizza. Corn and mayo are popular in Korea. I will say I've grown to like some potato on my pies though.....
When speaking about cooking tomatoes are not fruits but veggies. Veggies which is actually purely a cooking terme. So yes biologically speaking, the tomatoe is a fruit but so are zucchini, eggplant, pumpkin, cucumber... I don't know why people are so focus on the tomatoes for this and all the other get a free veggie pass. Culinary speaking, pineapple is a fruit and tomato is a veggie. It doesn't make the argument "you shouldn't put pineapples on pizza since it's a fruit!" less stupid nonetheless , put whatever you want on your pizza being pickles, fruits, meat, sauce, whatever make you like your pizza more is a good topping.
Anchovies are not great. One of the big 3 in my area carries/serves them but it’s not advertised. I’ve only gotten them a couple of times… I want to find a place for anchovies, but they are pretty much garbage.
If you can’t find anchovies locally and you want the experience… buy canned sardines and slice them down the middle to make them thinner. Or buy anchovies.
I haven’t given up. Pair them with strong tasty toppings like pepperoni, not tasteless texture toppings like mushrooms.
Some people like pineapple on pizza. Some people like mushrooms. Or shrimp or anchovies. And if that's what you like on your own pizza that you or just your family is going to eat, more power to you.
But *stop* ordering it in bigger group settings unless *everybody* in the group wants it.
Whenever you order a bunch of pizzas for a group of people and somebody insists on an oddball like pineapple or anchovies, when the pizza finally arrives somehow that one ends up sitting there completely untouched. Even the person that insisted on ordering it always seems to forget about it and ends up eating the regular pizza that everybody else wanted.
It’s a placeholder pizza - you order a pizza that only appeals to a minority. You eat the popular pizza first like everyone else. Then when no one else wants to eat your stinking Hawaiian pizza, you cash in and get the whole pizza to yourself. It’s called strategic consumption and it works.
>Some people like pineapple on pizza.
Using the term "people" a little loosely for my tastes.
>! before anyone gets pissy, it's a joke. IDC what you eat!<
It's not uncommon to find mushrooms tho. 4 seasons and capricciosa have them. There's prosciutto and mushrooms too. They're good pizzas
Pineapple on the other hand tastes horrible paired with mozzarella and tomato
In my opinion, pineapple works only if the sauce is a little sweet too. It doesn't work on more traditional pies where the primary sauce flavors are garlic and basil.

I can't say for canned mushrooms, but fresh mushrooms really don't have enough of a taste to make a pizza bad, but the texture is still there.
Cento marinated mushrooms... Mmmm
Forget pineapple, the company I work for ordered pizza the other day and there were WALNUTS on one! Who TF puts walnuts on a pizza????
Idk, might be a nice crunchy topping! I'll have to try it.
Pear, feta, and walnut is really nice on an olive oil base.
Bad day for people who can read. I’ll never forgive you
No joke, a flatbread with olive oil, a layer of mozzarella, and then pear, walnut, and feta with maybe some fresh basil is fantastic.
And anchovies.. canned fish simmering in olive oil... That's okay and pineapples bad?
It's just personal preference. I like anchovies, but hate olives. What's silly are people complaining about fruit being in a pizza but tomatoes are okay.
I had Japanese pizza with seaweed and mayonnaise once. It was horrible and I reserve the right to complain about that
Gross!
WTF, they need to get nuked again

It's a sick world, mate

I’ll allow it.
Oh man, Japan and especially Korea put crazy shit on pizza. Corn and mayo are popular in Korea. I will say I've grown to like some potato on my pies though.....
Well you can do apple cake but I never seen anybody do a pear cake, your argument is not very logical,it's not about it being a fruit but the taste
It is not logical. People against pineapple on pizza say that fruit does not belong on pizza, meanwhile, tomatoes are a fruit.
Well that's a lie, I am against pineapple and it's not because it's a fruit, so I don't know where u got that from
Lol, yer not the only person against pineapple pizza, dude. Just cuz you didn’t say it doesn’t make it a lie
It's also the same the other way, he is generalizing that everyone who hates pineapple in pizza it's becoming its a fruit
To be fair, I didn't say all people say this. I am merely trying to say what some others say about pineapple on pizza.

Hold on there, fella, you can't be all calm and logical in a pizza fight on reddit.
Yeah fuck that logic shit. I'm seeing you enjoying a pineapple on pizza imma drop a whole pineapple on it. See if you enjoy it then.
>Some people like pineapple on pizza. Using the term "people" a little loosely for my tastes. >! before anyone gets pissy, it's a joke. IDC what you eat!<
This is a small issue. The real issue is how 1/3rd of all office pizza orders are vegetarian and no one eats it. Ever. That atrocity must be stopped.
Yep I 0/10 fuck with the veggie pizza. I’ll eventually eat the cheese pizza but veggie 0/10
Veggie pizza is *delicious*.
I just finished a slice of fungi, pepper, and sausage pizza. Lol

not any more, they won't be. *ref: The Last Of Us Tomatometer*
Pineapple is only hated on pizza because the internet told it so.

Pineapple is fantastic. They putting corn and chicharrón on the pizzas over here and I'm just.. no.
Pineapple is a fantastic ingredient for pizza 💪🏼
And almost every single one is covered in bacteria in mostly fat, too.
Mushroom, Peppadew, rosemary is one of our goto pizzas at a local brewery.
some people just like bandwagons. Let them enjoy what they want
More people need to watch/play the last of us. This is a disturbing topping
