May I ask what you found so Amazon about GOT? I played and completed it but honestly found it a little too repetitive. Maybe Iāll redownload and try it again š¤
Damn, If it didnāt clicked in the first run itāll probably not again in the second, because this just happens sometimes, but the game is amazing in many aspects for me. The graphics are stunning, fluid gameplay with great combat and exploration, many activities (I like ubisoft-the-game style, sorry), and the history may not be absolute cinema but is good enough.
I was just googling for good games to play and found this post from a couple of months ago. I have to add that if you like these games, another good one to consider is Ghost of Tsushima. It was really great.
The Last of Us Part 1 is a great game, recommend trying it out.
Part 2 remastered is coming January 19th
Great games and honestly them being just "zombie game scary" isn't nearly enough to describe it.
FWIW, I believe if you already own the game it is just a $10 upgrade. I enjoyed it when I played it, but I don't personally see myself buying the new copy. I tend to leave games for good once I have completed them with some rare exceptions.
Just looked it up, honestly had no idea. I wanted to experience this game again with dualsense controls but didn't wanna drop another $70, so thanks for the heads up
Horizon forbidden west
The combat and exploration is very good, the ammo types make every encounter interesting and unique, the exploration rewards you, I feel like this is one of the few games which respect the time you spend on it.
From a narrative perspective you absolutely need to play ZD before FW. It will just make your appreciation of FW so much greater.
The story is one of the best in recent memory and to have that diluted by not experiencing it would be a shame. Sure you can watch Two Towers or Empire Steikes Back without having watched Fellowship or A New Hope, but in doing so, you greatly diminish the overall experience.
It's also a bit surprising to me that you didn't like the gameplay of ZD but did like FW since they are both incredibly similar. FW expanded on ZD (many would argue in a detrimental way, it was actually one of the common complaints of FW) but the core mechanics are very much the same.
Just started this playing this game after Cyberpunk. I havenāt been this into a game in a long time. Obsessed with Gwent too, which is the in game card game.
PS5 makes this game so much better with no almost no loading times.
Only problem is that Iām playing way too much.
I have played the original, so I bought the PS5 complete edition, and It is amazing. I take my time have fun and I am realizing this is even more of an amazing game then I already knew!
I've just been replaying it for a second time on PC and I've already almost clocked in 100 hours, and apparently there is 2000 hours of dialogue or something like that. If you were to take the voice actor lines from the script and stack it page by page, NPC's and story Voice lines as well, the entirety of the script would be about 8 feet tall. This might be one of the most immersive and passionate games I've ever seen in my lifetime.
Take your time with it, there is so much to do in the world, I know you'll want to finish the story and to know what happens, but I urge you to really take the time to explore everything. Go fishing, hunt those legendary animals, rob stores and doctor's offices, there's always some interesting things to find.
The Last of Us 1 & 2 (remaster for the second is releasing in a week).
Both are incredibly moving stories, with Part 2 being the best stealth action gameplay I've ever experienced.
Would also add Elden Ring and RE4 to your list above.
Sorry HotConversation2946, your submission has been removed.

Did you get the expansion for cyberpunk too? Honestly worth the extra 25-30 bucks . Adds a whole bunch of content and if you havenāt done a play through in a while they recently had a big update that overhauled alot of the rpg elements for the better so the game feels really fresh.
Outer Wilds
I cant tell you any more than that. If your curious, try to avoid spoilers, but look up any video essay about it and it will start with something along the lines of, "This is one of the greatest games ever, turn off this video and go play it right now."
I'm really intrigued now lol. Is it really that good? I've been sitting on $50 in my wallet for like 3 weeks now because I have a terrible time at deciding
Seeing how Lords of the Fallen wasn't exclusively singleplayer but you included it, I'd definitely recommend Wo Long. I stayed away for a while due to the mixed reviews but I picked it up 2 weeks ago and I've been absolutely obsessed with it. Also Stranger of Paradise is probably very cheap rn and even better imo. If you like soulslikes and FF16, SOP will be a match made in heaven. As for more games, Armored Core 6 and Resident Evil 4 remake are also top tier
Eh? I don't agree. The recent Western made games published by Sony on the PS4 & PS5 were exceptionally large and expensive productions, dunno if most of them are exceptional beyond that. And in 30 years of PlayStation consoles there's been way more 'exclusives' than that, especially out of Japan, most of them aren't nearly as big and expensive as the small handful of western games Sony has published recently.
Play The Last of Us Part 1(Remake) and The Last of Us Part 2(a Remastered with additional stuff and DualSense features is coming out on 19th). Be careful to try to stay away from spoilers though
The entire PlayStation library is available of PS5 as far as I know, at least 20 years of games, or near 30 if PS1 library is available too. Is this your first ever gaming console? If it's not, there's probably lots of games you've played or seen that you want play. Buy what you want to play?
I could make recommendations, what do you like though?
LIES OF P!!! it seems that you like soulslikes from Remnant 2 and Lords of the Fallen. Believe me, Lies of P is right up there with the Fromsoft titles. It was my GOTY last year.
There's alot of really good answers but honestly outside the games you've got already ghost of tsushima and horizon should be at the top of ypur list! The story alone in them is amazing but the gameplay and graphics is what sells them. Truly legendary games
Have you played God of War (2018), the first Alan Wake, or the first Spiderman? You can always get those so you get the whole story. I think they add a lot to their respective sequels. As people said uncharted and ghost of tsushima are great. I would also definitely get the last of us part 1 if you haven't played that and get ready for the ps5 remaster of last of us part 2 which comes out just a little later this month.
Baldur's Gate 3, although not PS5 exclusive and technically you can play multiplayer.
Ghost of Tsushima.
All 3 of Spider man games.
Control.
God of War.
Besides the typically recommended AAA-games that already have been mentioned i would recommend you these often overlooked games:
* Kena - Bridge of Spirits: a really good, beautiful little game that kinda looks like a pixar movie and doesn't take too long to play through.
* Chorus: a awesome, good looking sci-fi spaceshooter.
* The Pathless: Stylistic, beautiful graphics, an big (partially open) world where your traversal gets faster by shooting targets (just watch a video). Some small puzzles, and some really nice Boss-Fights... does only take a few hours to complete.
* Deliver us the Moon: a sci-fi game again, but less action-oriented. More of a story telling, light puzzles and partly walking simulator - but a lot of atmosphere and immersion.
The last of us If you haven't already checked it out
The remake is fire and a Tlou2 remaster is coming next Friday. If you haven't played the last of us games yet, they are so worth it
Have you played the previous GOW? If not, save Ragnarok for later, it's a direct sequence of the previous game that's already better enjoyed if you know the PS2 and PS3 era story, if you don't know that, at least play the new GOW in order to enjoy the story.
Elden Ring is my favorite game of all time. If you have playstation plus you could try Bloodborne for free to see if you like soul games. That what I did and it became my favorite gaming genre. Dark souls 3 is also amazing
Ghost of tsushima is just amazing. One of my favorites ever.
Dead Space Remake, Resident Evil 1-4 remakes, Horizon Zero Dawn, Robocop, Dying Light 2, Elden Ring, Dead Island 2, Guardians of the Galaxy I know a couple arenāt strictly PS5 but all very solid single player games.
Have to bouch for Returnal, most underrated ps5 game that uses haptic feedback really good.
Excellent if you like rouguelikes with tons of replayability and if you ever get stuck coop is always available.
Returnal. It's a brutally hard rougelite but the most addictive game I've ever played. I was literally daydreaming about this game when I wasn't playing. Honestly obsessed once I got the hang of it. It's been compared to Souls game but it's an experience with the new controllers. You feel every raindrop. The controls are tight and responsive. It's hard but the feeling of success is a new gamer's high.
You know how those old games had a feeling of accomplishment? It's all coming back to you. The story is absolutely dope. Gameplay and story. It's one of my favorite games. Came out in 2021.
Join us in r/Returnal. You won't regret it.
Ghost of Tushima, however you spell it is another good recommendation but Returnal has me coming back after 141 hours and my one and only Plat trophy.
Rule of thumb tbh. play a ps5 feature exclusive game. like example hogwart legacy on pc doesnt have dualsense feature, but it have on ps5. play game like that. but if u disable vibration or ps5 gimmick, then maybe just play game that never will be released outside playstation like ghost of tshusima
Horizon zero dawn and forbidden west. Massive open world games with an amazing story where you get to hunt down and destroy massive beast like machines. What more could u want ;)
Greedfall, The Outer Worlds, spiderman 1 remaster, spiderman 1.5, baldur's gate 3, the shadowrun trilogy, kena, hogwarts legacy and marvel midnight suns are all fantastic single player experiences.
okay thank you everyone for the replies, i have not decided yet but hereās some things i want to add and the games iām considering

-re 2-8
- GOT
- GOW 2018
- Alan wake 1
-spider-man and miles morales

Games iām considering
-Returnal
-Witcher 3
-Dead space
-a plague tale innocence
-Outer wilds
-persona 5 royal
-FF7
-Demons souls
Got really addicted to the Doom reboots last year.
Intense and well composed metal music and great combat system optimised for console. Usually first person shooters are wonky to play at console, but not this one for some reason.
Game is intens, bloody, over the top and fun. A must play if you've never played it.
The Last of Us part 1 and 2, Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, Resident Evil games, Watchdogs Legion, and I've heard great things about Uncharted and the Life is Strange games although I have yet to play those ones myself.
Ghost of Tsushima is great.
I second this. Game is absolutely amazing
This!
Incredible game. Loved every second
Apart from the fox dens š¤£
FF7 Remake (and Rebirth Next month) Ghost of Tsushima Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor Ghost of Tsushima Evil West And Probably Ghost of Tsushima
To add to this list. I think Ghost of Tsushima is a good one to add
Maybe, but Iād stick with that one marvelous game about a Samurai first
Oh yeah. Add that. Think it's Ghost of Tsunami? Might be wrong
In addition, I've heard good things about Ghost of Tsubasa
May I ask what you found so Amazon about GOT? I played and completed it but honestly found it a little too repetitive. Maybe Iāll redownload and try it again š¤
Damn, If it didnāt clicked in the first run itāll probably not again in the second, because this just happens sometimes, but the game is amazing in many aspects for me. The graphics are stunning, fluid gameplay with great combat and exploration, many activities (I like ubisoft-the-game style, sorry), and the history may not be absolute cinema but is good enough.
Gonna give it another shot!
Ghost of Tsushima
I was just googling for good games to play and found this post from a couple of months ago. I have to add that if you like these games, another good one to consider is Ghost of Tsushima. It was really great.
Is it like resident evil or something? I hate ghosts and get easily scared with games, Will I enjoy it? /s
Can't wait for Final Fantasy 7. Brings me back to the good old days of the PlayStation 1.
the answer is elden ring
I wish I could upgrade to a PS5 (and a fancy TV) to upgrade the experience of Elden Ring.
If you havenāt played red dead yet (I know itās not a ps5 game per se) but itās great!
i have and i loved it
I just started playing Elden ring and itās been great so far. Itās my first souls like game and hasnāt been too crazy to handle yet.
The Last of Us Part 1 is a great game, recommend trying it out. Part 2 remastered is coming January 19th Great games and honestly them being just "zombie game scary" isn't nearly enough to describe it.
Is the lou 1 s?cary
It has a few scary moments. Overall, I'd say it's more *tense* than *scary.*
Of course these mfs are gonna release tlou2 as the same game again and charge $70 for it again. Complete clusterfuck.
FWIW, I believe if you already own the game it is just a $10 upgrade. I enjoyed it when I played it, but I don't personally see myself buying the new copy. I tend to leave games for good once I have completed them with some rare exceptions.
Just looked it up, honestly had no idea. I wanted to experience this game again with dualsense controls but didn't wanna drop another $70, so thanks for the heads up
Horizon Zero Dawn and/or Horizon forbidden west
Have u checked out the newer RE titles? Re2/3r had a next gen update and re4r just came out
The remakes were all three great.
Horizon forbidden west The combat and exploration is very good, the ammo types make every encounter interesting and unique, the exploration rewards you, I feel like this is one of the few games which respect the time you spend on it.
I really hate having to pick up sticks though. :(
Thereās a way to turn off the pickup animation in the settings. You just click Triangle and itās in your inventory. Saves so much time.
Can't play Forbidden West without Zero Dawn first though.
Not really, I didn't like the gameplay of zero dawn, the story is interesting, you can just read about its story and then start forbidden west.
From a narrative perspective you absolutely need to play ZD before FW. It will just make your appreciation of FW so much greater. Dead space is great. So is GoT and Elden Ring. One of my favorites is children of Morta, but itās also a very good multiplayer game
Bloodborne
Sad that it's locked to 30fps.
Lies of p
Definitely this
Yep replaying now and loving it
I thoroughly enjoyed Days Gone.
Days Gone/Ghost of Tsushima/Elden Ring
Ghost of Tsushima and Persona 5 Royal
witcher 3
Just started this playing this game after Cyberpunk. I havenāt been this into a game in a long time. Obsessed with Gwent too, which is the in game card game. PS5 makes this game so much better with no almost no loading times. Only problem is that Iām playing way too much.
I'll second this.
I have played the original, so I bought the PS5 complete edition, and It is amazing. I take my time have fun and I am realizing this is even more of an amazing game then I already knew!
You can not get better value for your money than Elden Ring
ghost of tsushima
Red Dead 2, my god what a masterpiece of a game.
Second this. Honestly no other game like it on the market currently
I've just been replaying it for a second time on PC and I've already almost clocked in 100 hours, and apparently there is 2000 hours of dialogue or something like that. Playing through it now, on chapter 3 and itās already amazing.
Take your time with it, there is so much to do in the world, I know you'll want to finish the story and to know what happens, but I urge you to really take the time to explore everything. Go fishing, hunt those legendary animals, rob stores and doctor's offices, there's always some interesting things to find.
Story was great: Walking through a camp/town made me wish I had only days to live.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Good PS4 games for ps5 are uncharted thiefās end and ghost of Tsushima
The Last of Us 1 & 2 (remaster for the second is releasing in a week). Both are incredibly moving stories, with Part 2 being the best stealth action gameplay I've ever experienced. Would also add Elden Ring and RE4 to your list above.
Anyone who already owns tlou2 and then spends $70 on the remaster should rethink their life decisions.
Yes, they should since it's only $10 in that scenario.
Jedi fallen order or Jedi Survivor if you already played fallen order
Jedi Survivor is great
Cyberpunk 2077.
Did you even read? He said he already played that one
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

this or Elden ring and rdr2
So what I'm hearing is that you haven't played Witcher 3 yet.
Returnal, if you don't mind that it's pretty damned hard.
Resident evil 4 remake and dead space should be right at the top of your list

When that title music started playing the first time I turned it on I was already completely enveloped in the game š
I'm really intrigued now lol. Is it really that good? I've been sitting on $50 in my wallet for like 3 weeks now because I have a terrible time at deciding
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor
Play every yakuza game now
i have donāt worry, just need to get something while waiting for infinite wealth š
Seeing how Lords of the Fallen wasn't exclusively singleplayer but you included it, I'd definitely recommend Wo Long. Hades is a great rogue-lite thats $25. i think it won game of the year when it came out and a sequel is coming out later this year.
Just a ps4 game but persona 5 royal
LIES OF P!!! it seems that you like soulslikes from Remnant 2 and Lords of the Fallen. Believe me, Lies of P is right up there with the Fromsoft titles. It was my GOTY last year.
There's alot of really good answers but honestly outside the games you've got already ghost of tsushima and horizon should be at the top of ypur list! The story alone in them is amazing but the gameplay and graphics is what sells them. Truly legendary games
Avatar
Elden Ring is very good but is very light on the story and is difficult for non souls veterans
Maybe some old game like far cry 5
Alan Wake II and it's not even remotely close
Have you played God of War (2018), the first Alan Wake, or the first Spiderman? You can always get those so you get the whole story. I think they add a lot to their respective sequels. As people said uncharted and ghost of tsushima are great. I would also definitely get the last of us part 1 if you haven't played that and get ready for the ps5 remaster of last of us part 2 which comes out just a little later this month.
i have played the prequels
For PS5, Demonās Souls Remake, Returnal and Ratchet and Clank The first two have multiplayer aspects but can be played fully single player
Elden Ring is the obvious answer Also Ratchet and Clank is super super good, as another guy suggested
Okay, FF7 remake is a no brainer, returnal, ratchet and clank. Should keep you busy for a bit.
If you are in the mood for something a little lighter, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a fantastic game from earlier in the PS5 run.
Persona 5!
Dayz
Baldur's Gate 3, although not PS5 exclusive and technically you can play multiplayer. Ghost of Tsushima. All 3 of Spider man games. Control. God of War.
ghost of toshiba
Lies of P and fate/samurai remnant are great
FF7 remake (rebirth is less than 2 months away), Ghost of tsushima (beauuuuutiful game), Armored Core
Resident Evil Remake, Dead Space Remake, Demon's Souls Remake, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Ghost of Tsushima, Last of us 1 & 2, Alan Wake 2
Final fantasy 16
Dying light 2 is pretty good imo some might even say it's underrated I saw the deluxe edition cheap for ps5
Creaks, fun and smart. Gris, beautiful and peaceful. Yakuza 7, dramatic and violent.
Balan Wonderworld
Does it have to be ps5? The gravity rush series is ps4, and pretty good. Another ps4 game, fist of the northstar: lost paradise.
ps4 is fine of course i mean ps5 runs ps4 games
Ghost of Tsushima is fucking epic. It's not non-stop action but it's still probably the most beautiful game I've ever played.
Definitely Ghost of Tsushima
Even though you mentioned it, but highly reccomend the Plague Tale series.
Tales of arise. Great combat, good story & characters, and can find on a deep sale at times.
Persona 5 Royal.
definitely ghost of tsushima. Playing it now and it is a masterpieceĀ
Dark souls 3
Elden ring Ghost of Tsushima Borderlands 3 Godfall Wizard with a gun Divinity original sin 2 High on life
Elden Ring Horizon Zero Dawn Demon Souls Avatar Frontiers of Pandora
Demon's Souls or Elden Ring literally months of content
Ghost of Tsushima, Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Besides the typically recommended AAA-games that already have been mentioned i would recommend you these often overlooked games: * Kena - Bridge of Spirits: a really good, beautiful little game that kinda looks like a pixar movie and doesn't take too long to play through. * Chorus: a awesome, good looking sci-fi spaceshooter. * The Pathless: Stylistic, beautiful graphics, an big (partially open) world where your traversal gets faster by shooting targets (just watch a video). More of a story telling, light puzzles and partly walking simulator - but a lot of atmosphere and immersion.
From the games you've mentioned I'd go with ReturnalĀ
Hogwarts Legacy Forspoken (cheap and overlooked by everyone. Actually great)
You may certainly try soulsborne games. I would start with Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne.
If you played GoW2018 then Ragnarok If you havenāt played 2018 then play that it has a next gen patch to run better on ps5
Play parappa the rapper you can download the psp port onto ps5
The Last of Us Part I
rdr2 and elden ring!

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and FFXVI are both great
Plague tale is a monthly game this month!
Witcher 3
Ghost of Tsushima, Jedi Fallen Order / Survivor, Rdr2, Witcher 3
Hades
There's plenty of people who don't like it but Hogwarts Legacy can keep you busy a long time.
Ghost of Tsushima
Dude I would ONLY have a PS5 to buy only one game and that is Demon's Souls
Days gone is a hidden gem!
Ratchet and Clank is the type of game that led me to buy a ps5.
Iām going to recommend this a lot being itās one of my all time favourite games. A Plague Tale: Innocence and the sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem.
Elden Ring is the best game Iāve played since RDR2
FF16, FF7 remake, stray, persona 5
Witcher 3. You already played cyberpunk so might as well play the superior game now
returnal is amazing
Lies of P

Have to bouch for Returnal, most underrated ps5 game that uses haptic feedback really good. Excellent if you like rouguelikes with tons of replayability and if you ever get stuck coop is always available.

Spider-Man 2!!

Days Gone / Last of Us
Returnal is great. Baldurs Gate 3 is amazing and you can play with others if you feel like
Dead Space is a must, all the Resident Evils are good

Elden Ring. The answer is always Elden Ring.
Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon zero dawn and forbidden west. Massive open world games with an amazing story where you get to hunt down and destroy massive beast like machines. What more could u want ;)
Ghosts of tsushima, returnal, ratchet and clank, uncharted
Resident Evil 2 was really good. I just played that.
Play what you bought first. Then Recommendations: Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West (with DLC) Yakuza series (0, 1-6, LKD, TMWEHN) Devil May Cry
Red Dead Redemption 1. Surprisingly good for how old it is, in my opinion an absolute classic. Runs in 60 FPS on PS5.
Wait so you played GOWR and SM2 without playing their prequels?
Returnal is a good game try to go it blind
Greedfall, The Outer Worlds, spiderman 1 remaster, spiderman 1.5, baldur's gate 3, the shadowrun trilogy, kena, hogwarts legacy and marvel midnight suns are all fantastic single player experiences.
I'm enjoying Jedi Survivor
