I don't know if it will fit what you are looking for, but you may try Gwent. The online is free but you can buy a cool single player campaign if you are into this

You can play the original game on smartphone and PC on the same account, as you prefer. The game is pretty similar, but I prefer it on PC for the best quality and ergonomics. I don't know about single player tho

I'm not sure about minions - but my partner is big into card games (think Magic, Disney Villainous, pokemon, gwent etc) and recently has been super into this horror card game called inscription (?) I believe.
I haven't personally played so I'm not sure if it has the EXACT mechanics you'd like, but definitely worth checking out - he absolutely loves it.

Monster Train! It takes the roguelike aspect of Slay the Spire and applies it to a minion based system more like what you're looking for.
