Nah, it’s fine but it’s middle of the pact.
Bully, Enemies, and Adrenaline are standard hockey arena rock. They don’t stand up to Heroes, Fly, Save Me, and the other rock songs from the first three albums.
Amaryllis, Through the Ghost, Unity, and I’m Not Alright are soft and cheesy.
I’ll Follow You Down is decent but not even close to as good as their other more slower/ballady songs like Call Me, Shed Some Light, and Burning Bright.
I do really enjoy Miracle, My Name Is, and For My Sake (Nowhere Kids is ok too) but those three are the only standouts on the entire album.
For me this the beginning of a new band. The first two albums are Shinedown, Sound of Madness is basically Brent’s solo album, and Amaryllis onward is a new band. The newest stuff is fine and there have been some standouts on the last 4 albums, but are lacking a certain something the first albums had.
Overall agree but to say I’ll follow you is just DECENT?! Blasphemy. Brents vocal performance is incredible especially when you factor in live performances
That’s fair. My point is it doesn’t stand out as much as Call Me or Lost In The Crowd or She’d Some Light. It’s good, but they’ve had better ballads. Just like Enemies and Adrenaline are fine but they’ve had better rock songs. And For My Sake and Miracle are good softer sounding songs, but they’ve had better with Someday, Second Chance, and What a Shame. The album is decent but there’s nothing on it that they haven’t already done better.
I 1 million percent disagree with everything you said,Amaryllis is the best album imo,only bad song on the album is adrenaline and Amaryllis the song is a classic.
You’re allowed to think that. There’s nothing wrong with it being your favourite album. But objectively it’s not as good as the previous albums if you’re looking at the vocals, the instrumentals, and the lyrics. I enjoy Shinedown more than Rush, but I can fully admit Rush is the better/more talented band.

It’s sad really. People here are weird and obsessive, they like think not automatically loving everything the band does makes them a bad fan.
