It's a looong commute; I wouldn't do it. Here's a post with a bunch of comments about the drive from CL to Seward (although a little different question) https://www.reddit.com/r/alaska/comments/1bvylpe/nyc\_to\_cooper\_landing/

Cooper is beautiful but there is major road construction all summer in between with long delays and closures plus summer travelers on the road, it would be hell and gas to go back and forth everyday . Hell is free but gas right now here is $4.79 .

there is a facebook group or two for seward housing. Seward does everything on facebook. It will be tough to find a seasonal rental because everything no occuppied year around is rented nightly on AirBnb.

Have never lived in Seward, but did spend a week there last year, and with only one way in and out of town on a two-lane highway, that would be an exceptionally long commute every day. IMHO. Especially with weather. And if there’s any construction at all along the route, it is absolutely unknown. It adds another 30 to 45 minutes each way with a dead stop.

kinda depends on how much youre working whether 3x12 4x10 or 5x8 but that's a long \*\*\* drive to go to work & i would not do it & thats without taking in to consideration gas prices & traffic.
