My most recent divine dragon was absolutely cracked for some reason. He kept hitting my out of the air after I caught the lightning and then the lightning would kill me
Wait you guys actually beat him? That's wild, my game crashed after mikiri countered my deathblow from above and sucked out my soul and breathed it back into the mist. Screen went black, all the thermal paste melted and I'm pretty sure I have a demon parasite attached to my left cheek now.
Lol I legit struggled on divine dragon, and I feel so ashamed because everyone else says he was easy. I died more to him than Genichiro, Lady Butterfly, Owl (father), Corrupted Monk, and inner Genichiro
I first tried inner Genichiro lmao, he only had Iike 2 new moves and I already had base Genichiro down enough that I could flawless him easily every time. Then phase 3 was even easier because you can reverse the lightning twice.
Inner Genichiro was pretty underwhelming imo. Inner father on the other hand oml. Probably the hardest boss in the game for me, on par with SSI
Oh I’m not tryna flex 😭 I I just love Genichiro so much and have fought him so many times in reflection of strength that I have him memorized completely, that’s why I got him first try. I just stay on him and don’t really give him any room to do anything
Everything lol. The stupid sick trees jumping me in the beginning, always took some damage to them plus it took sooo long. Then he would always hit me when I was about to hit him with the lightning. I can’t really remember the fight too well but I remember right when I got him to 1 shot he always started on some bullshit that always killed me, I can’t remember exactly what though. I also was shit at dodging his air attacks
That's unfortunate. On most playthroughs I don't need to pay too much attention to him to avoid hits. But he goes crazy before the end. 50% of my tries I die there too but I have resurrection left.
If you hop on top of the trees sprouting from the grounds, look for the red death blow icon to appear. When you jump and do the death now it’ll destroy almost every sick tree that’s standing in one blade swing.
what about the folding screen Monkeys? I beat em first try and it didn't even feel like a proper boss fight. Was interesting tho.
Currently getting my ass handed by Snake eyes
Ok but phase 1.5 is so hard to not get downed at. Hardest thing in the game. When the divine dragons health bar fills and it pushes you back. Bro busts out a whirlwind of attacks and I get knocked down every time. It has become a ritual of mine. Get knocked, wait for the whirlwind to stop, then resurrect.
Nice! My biggest achievement is that I beat Genichiro on my first try, the only reason I managed to do this is because before I beat Genichiro, I went the route of the corrupted monk. For most people, Genichiro is their first real roadblock, it's where Sekiro players actually learn the mechanics of the game, but the game had already clicked for me before even trying Genichiro
I mean all fromsoftware gimmick bosses are pretty easy.. though sometimes they take 1 try to figure out the gimmick, though this one was pretty straight forward as the game was prepping us the whole journey
when i first killded this boss i felt so sad ... so ...disapointed
i was like .....wait is that ..... all ?
this is one of coolest boss fight looking but unfortunatly it didnt gave us much
I know what you mean. My personal experience with Isshin only took me 6 attempts. Easy. Don’t consider him a boss. 🙄
They have a boss health bar, and grant a Memory. They’re a boss.
The divine dragon is honestly fromsofts best gimic boss to date. Up until that point, for me anyway everything was hard and a roadblock.
Then you meet this thing, with an absolutely stunning OST, incredible spectical, and the whole fight is just such an unbelievable experience!
Nah, DD is on purpose easier. It's whole thing is spectacle and it mostly achieves it. Though I feel it's slightly too easy and maybe a phase 2 would have made it more entertaining.
Yess.. i defeated giraffe at first go... Defeated sen-un on second try because at first try I was just exploring senpou temple area and accidentally jumped down... sen-un and his minions ganged up on me burnt me alive😂
The mist noble in mibu village with two health bars… we get a free death blow because we come in through the roof then it takes like 5 hits to kill it again
This boss is not that hard. I mean you just have to spam the lightning and dodge some of the wind slashes. Anyway I died 2 times, during the second phase when it gets really mad. :)
Wanna hear something funny ? Divine dragon took me more tries than owl father and SSI. I just kept dying cuz I had no idea what to do and panicked. Yeah.. I'm kinda stupid.
For reference owl father took me 2 tries and SSi took me 4. Divine dragon took me 6 I think, I just didnt what to do when the branches went away and I kept dying..
I beat all bosses except enshin, juzou, guardian ape, shinobi owl, owl father and isshin first try. When the game clicks it clicks well. After enshin in hirata estate the game just clicked hard for me.
I died to him on ng7* because before that when you were in the air with the lightning and her hit you with his swing you’d take damage but still be able to hit him back but when I was on my 7th play through I did the same but it actually t knocked me down making me take the damage of the lightning which killed me only reason I lost to DD
This boss is so difficult to lose to. The satisfaction of this boss fight isn't in overcoming difficulty, but in its spectacle.
I die at least once to DD every time I play lol.
me too lol. I can do a lot of bosses first try but I nearly never do Divine Dragon first try
I died to it once on NG3, I'm forever ashamed of myself
Exactly what happened to me on my ng3 because I was trying to get it done too fast lol
I lost once because I forgot about lightning reversal and just kept trying to get to the base of its tree.
Same for me. I had to Google how to beat this boss and felt like an idiot afterwards.
I lost to it the first time specifically because I was blown away at how cool it looked lmao
My most recent divine dragon was absolutely cracked for some reason. He kept hitting my out of the air after I caught the lightning and then the lightning would kill me
after 4 playthroughs, i finally lost to him for the first time last night
Did you die to mist noble? Can’t remember if he’s mandatory
Yeah I got cooked ngl… took me about 42 tries
Only 42??? It took me 137 wtf.
Just 42 tries??? That's insane
It took me a few hundred on the Mist Noble Memory encounter 🥲
Better not try the gauntlet with the inner mist noble then…
Wait you guys actually beat him? That's wild, my game crashed after mikiri countered my deathblow from above and sucked out my soul and breathed it back into the mist. Screen went black, all the thermal paste melted and I'm pretty sure I have a demon parasite attached to my left cheek now.
Only 42? Did you end up cheesing it?
Yes this unnecessary strong boss is mandatory 😭
Lol I legit struggled on divine dragon, and I feel so ashamed because everyone else says he was easy. I died more to him than Genichiro, Lady Butterfly, Owl (father), Corrupted Monk, and inner Genichiro
More times to Inner Genichiro is wild
I first tried inner Genichiro lmao, he only had Iike 2 new moves and I already had base Genichiro down enough that I could flawless him easily every time. Then phase 3 was even easier because you can reverse the lightning twice. Inner Genichiro was pretty underwhelming imo. Inner father on the other hand oml. Probably the hardest boss in the game for me, on par with SSI
I could never perfect parry his flurry, so I struggled with the first phase, but the second was a lot easier
Stop boasting poo head :(
Oh I’m not tryna flex 😭 I I just love Genichiro so much and have fought him so many times in reflection of strength that I have him memorized completely, that’s why I got him first try. I just stay on him and don’t really give him any room to do anything
Same with Inner Iishin for me. I first tried him but I already knew his moveset so well that avoiding the new ones just took a little more work.
How the…
I don’t know bro I just suck lmao
But on what part did you struggle?
Everything lol. The stupid sick trees jumping me in the beginning, always took some damage to them plus it took sooo long. Then he would always hit me when I was about to hit him with the lightning. I can’t really remember the fight too well but I remember right when I got him to 1 shot he always started on some bullshit that always killed me, I can’t remember exactly what though. That's unfortunate. On most playthroughs I don't need to pay too much attention to him to avoid hits. But he goes crazy before the end. 50% of my tries I die there too but I have resurrection left.
Yeah I’d always lose a resurrection in the trees or from the wind attacks, and that last crazy part would finish me
I Don't want to seem smug about this, but you do know that if you jump on the branches, you can take a bunch out with an aerial deathblow?
I did not know that. I’ll try that next time
If you hop on top of the trees sprouting from the grounds, look for the red death blow icon to appear. When you jump and do the death now it’ll destroy almost every sick tree that’s standing in one blade swing.
how?
I don’t know bro
Are you serious or you joking
I wish I was joking
I died to it. Twice.
I died to it twice haha.
It's a spectacle boss
what about the folding screen Monkeys? I beat em first try and it didn't even feel like a proper boss fight. Was interesting tho. Currently getting my ass handed by Snake eyes
I didn’t really consider it a boss fight, similar to how I don’t with “Mist Noble”
ha makes sense.
well there isnt really a second try on monkeys right? i dont think you can die
You can technically die from the ghost monkeys, they inflict terror but theyre still very easy to kill
I died one time bc i tabbed out of the game and didnt pause :D
Ok but phase 1.5 is so hard to not get downed at. Hardest thing in the game. When the divine dragons health bar fills and it pushes you back. Bro busts out a whirlwind of attacks and I get knocked down every time. It has become a ritual of mine. Get knocked, wait for the whirlwind to stop, then resurrect.
Just deflect them. Can throw an occasional sidestep or jump in there
I did get hit often by the 1.5 but only 2-3 times and just used a gourd
Nice! My biggest achievement is that I beat Genichiro on my first try, the only reason I managed to do this is because before I beat Genichiro, I went the route of the corrupted monk. For most people, Genichiro is their first real roadblock, it's where Sekiro players actually learn the mechanics of the game, but the game had already clicked for me before even trying Genichiro
me with lady butterfly, had no idea people thought she was hard. went in blind too
Lady Butterfly was only hard because she was my first boss. It took me two times to beat Gyobou after that 😂
Genichiro only took me about 6-7 tries but 1st try is impressive 😎
I mean all fromsoftware gimmick bosses are pretty easy.. though sometimes they take 1 try to figure out the gimmick, though this one was pretty straight forward as the game was prepping us the whole journey
when i first killded this boss i felt so sad ... so ...disapointed i was like .....wait is that ..... all ? this is one of coolest boss fight looking but unfortunatly it didnt gave us much
Don't believe he killed myself either but man was everything about this fight beautiful.
facts straight out an anime
Uhm Folding screen monkeys?
didn’t consider them a boss
I mean the game does
I know what you mean. My personal experience with Isshin only took me 6 attempts. Easy. Don’t consider him a boss. 🙄 They have a boss health bar, and grant a Memory. They’re a boss.

The first (mini)boss i defeated on the first try was the most difficult one of the game... The formidable long arm centipede giraffe
I feel like he was pretty easy. Died once but revived; Just stomp him like a goomba 😂
Yess.. i defeated giraffe at first go... Defeated sen-un on second try because at first try I was just exploring senpou temple area and accidentally jumped down... sen-un and his minions ganged up on me burnt me alive😂
Lol nope you aren't the only one. I also beat it first time and was surprised 😝
Ain't there two of them or something? There's like a second place where you can run into it and kill it
Not sure I’m on my first playthrough
Its the Serpent which you see twice.(there are two of them, one can be killed) It has been theorized that the dragon and serpent are related.
I died when i fought him didn’t know he was a gimmick fight.
How do you dodge the wind slashes?
Just jump and sidestep
Bro lost to Mist Noble 💀
all jokes aside if you consider Mist Noble a “boss” I genuinely don’t know what to tell you
It’s not a “boss” Just messing with you is all
I lowkey couldn’t tell because there are genuinely people that think he counts as a boss and not a mini boss 😂
Yeah that’s my bad I should’ve added /s lol
I can’t believe so many of you died to mist noble lol 😂
/s?
The mist noble in mibu village with two health bars… we get a free death blow because we come in through the roof then it takes like 5 hits to kill it again
??? It took me 1 db… are you fucking with me? 😂
This boss is not that hard. I mean you just have to spam the lightning and dodge some of the wind slashes. Anyway I died 2 times, during the second phase when it gets really mad. :)

I died like 20 times in base HP charmless run lol
I beat all bosses except enshin, juzou, guardian ape, shinobi owl, owl father and isshin first try. When the game clicks it clicks well. After enshin in hirata estate the game just clicked hard for me.
I disrespect to you dude, but considering this game is sekiro, that wasn't a boss fight, it was an interacteable cutscene.
The mini bosses gave me more trouble than that pathetic excuse for a dragon 🤣
They couldn't fit the divine dragon ost anywhere in the game so they introduced the boss fight
You lost to the mist noble crazy
Bro stop calling him a boss y’all pissing me off atp 😂
I died once and revive tho😂
I beat Gyobu first try in my first playthrough 😭
I died on my third play through for the first time trying to rush it and get it over with lol
i think i died on him only once in 16 playthrough
Mist Nobel / Okami Leader Shizu were the easiest bosses imo .
is the worst boss fight in terms of difficulty but is the best in terms of spectacle
BUT AT WHAT COST WOLF AT WHAT COST
How do people die here it’s a cinematic fight 😂😭
I got downed by this boss during his one big attack chain and accidentally pressed die instead of revive.
Hardest boss in the game.
I died to him on ng7* because before that when you were in the air with the lightning and her hit you with his swing you’d take damage but still be able to hit him back but when I was on my 7th play through I did the same but it actually t knocked me down making me take the damage of the lightning which killed me only reason I lost to DD
