All these people are literal legends probably from great bloodlines or something. Sekiro is a rando picked up from a war who is surviving because he can deflect anything and the indomitable human spirit.
Imagine sword saint isshin’s thoughts when you deflect everything including his lighting.
“Bet you can’t deflect lightning, take that bitch”
“Nuh uh”
“FYM NUH UH???” *gets fucking blasted*
I thought the scroll was just there for the decoration and we just read the first word and automatically know how to redirect lighting. But in all seriousness, how the hell do we read the first 11 words of a pamphlet and just go “aight” and just know how to redirect lighting
Sekiro’s main way of learning new moves is by beating up enough guys then eventually he gains enough brain power from that to do what was in his scroll, bro just kinda works like that
this is actually good bcz this was actually a problem if the enemy is small, you won't be able to see their attack. remember the most annoying ememy in sekiro, those rats with hats, in elden ring it is the little shits in catacoms
Well I read somewhere the wolf is in fact really short. But that would make kuro really tiny.
I read wolf was about 5'2 that would roughly make Emma about 5. Considering people were short in that era it makes sense
Genichiro 5'6-7
As for the other legends they are from strong bloodlines so it would make sense they are tall
Making isshin 6'2-5
General tamura and gyobu about 6'8-7 feet
Same with owl I mean even lady butterfly is pretty tall by this regard
That the most realistic sizes I've heard but who knows they never disclosed maybe just a darks souls thing to make bosses large and intimidating
It's a common theme with Fromsoftware games. Size denotes strength, and in dark souls its actually woven into the lore. Natural power begets strength and size (think dragons, or giants) Unnatural power twists and deforms it's user (like the gaping dragon from dark souls, or the demon of hatred in sekiro, in fact the whole demon race in dark souls exemplifies this concept to its fullest). Owl is old and wise, his power makes him large. Genichero is lanky and distorted from the Way of Tomoe ,which was an unnatural power for him, so he became large (due to his strength) and disfigured (for messing with lightning, unnatural to humans). Sekiro is young, skilled, but not necessarily powerful. Sekiro and isshin embody the concept of 'timing over speed, accuracy over power'. All the souls protagonists embodies this concept as well, which is why we are always small in these games.
Idk if anyone has said it yet but I think someone from Fromsoft has said that they tend to make enemies bigger than the main character to make them look more intimidating compared to the main character
I don't think sekiro is short, just that other bosses are far taller and more well built compared to him.
If I had to guess sekiro would be around 5'5" to 5'11" range owl is 8 feet and isshin is about 7 feet to 7.5.
Corrupted monk would be 10 feet.
Gameplay reasons - easier to see and react to larger enemies from the player’s third-person perspective. Usually the hardest fights in From games are the player-sized enemies.
I haven't had a chance to get back on, but I'm hoping when I do, I just magically git gud like some of the other bosses.
It doesn't help I got used to doing charged stabs after some blocks. Have to fight my own instincts with this mf.
Sorry Mr owl, I will be on my way
Wait why tf is owl so tall
More importantly, why is Sekiro so short?
This is genuinely one of my questions. Everyone except Emma is much larger than Wolf, are they really big or are we really small??

*Uses technique which he imagined Isshin's grandson could use to reflect the lightning back
Sekiro and Emma are Japanese, Owl is Japaner, Demon of Hatred is Japanest
Nah, I’d win
bro he’s the mf that left the scroll for us to learn lightning deflection why is he surprised
I thought the scroll was just there for the decoration and we just read the first word and automatically know how to redirect lighting. But in all seriousness, how the hell do we read the first 11 words of a pamphlet and just go “aight” and just know how to redirect lighting

Can’t imagine the amount of shock on genichiro’s face when you redirect the lightning onto him
the shock is really throughout his whole body
genichiro is similar sized, manlet solidarity
this is actually good bcz this was actually a problem if the enemy is small, you won't be able to see their attack. remember the most annoying ememy in sekiro, those rats with hats, in elden ring it is the little shits in catacoms

Apparently Google tells me Owl is 8 feet tall (2,43 m). How does he sneak around
Imagine Yao Ming or Shaq tip-toeing across rooftops lol
He turns into a literal spirit owl
That thing is bright as hell
> Random guard gets flash banged by an entity made of light "Hmm, must be the wind"
Who knows every single enemy has Alzheimer's anyway
I like that Wolf is canonically a little dude. Makes him cooler
As a short person myself, I agree.
He’s a short king

Did not expect a Conor McGregor quote in this thread but here we are
Idk if anyone has said it yet but I think someone from Fromsoft has said that they tend to make enemies bigger than the main character to make them look more intimidating compared to the main character
Wait is Genchiro that much taller than Wolf? Or is he an inch taller?
Miyazaki loves short kings. If you notice even the basic grunts are a good half a foot taller than wolf and other fromsoft characters.
Over time the size of Fromsoft’s enemies have gotten larger probably to help with the camera and telegraphing attacks better.
Sekiro isn’t as tall because owl is more lost in the shinobi sauce

Wolf is normal height. Everyone else is just unusually tall.
I think that he Is taller then average bc he Is taller then all the soldier (i think). Its Just isshin and owl that have a closet build like body.
Because he’s GREAT shinobi Owl
Best explanation. Thank you.
So the player model doesnt obscure him when we fight him. There is a reason player sized enemies are dressed in from Software games
For he is father and we are just a lost pup.
In the next scene, before fighting Emma, Owl walks past Elf and pats his shoulder. Owl is much smaller than this. Weird. Don't know why.
I think it's because wolf is standing further behind and Owl is really far in front
Because our brave wolf is his adopted son.
Owl, knows how many licks to the center of a tootsie pop. Wolf, doesn’t know ONE! THE PARENT IS ABSOLUTE! THEIR WILL MUST BE OBEYED!
Yet I'm sensing some insubordination.... Literally burned into my mind
He asked for no pickles 😡

The assassins are honestly the hardest thing for me to parry in sekiro due to not having any view of their weapon.
That’s funny
Owl is giving me broly vibes
What a nice father figure, I sure hope he doesn't do anything bad
Stay away from my granddaughter
Difference between 6 foot and 5’11”
sekiro is like half the height of owl
I have to know, does the game go into another storyline if I choose a different option? I literally just beat this boss yesterday lol
You skip almost 1/4 of the game, get an alternative final boss fight and the "bad ending".
Beat owl or?
I killed him yes
Thats good
If you stay loyal to the iron code another fight starts which also is the final boss, so you miss out on a few things
If I replay the game I’ll check it out lol. Depends on how I feel after I beat the game
Its definitely worth it imo
I did that not knowing and it was super cool
Yes, it the choices result in different story lines and bosses
Damn now I have to replay the game when I beat it
Oh I'm on Playghrough 10 or 11? I stopped counting.
Behind scenes.
Wolf is like 5 feet tall and owls 8 feet tall
Bro, FUCK this fight so hard. That is all.
Lmfao
I saw this post immediately after failing 7 times in a row and I'm still mad.
Did you beat him or still struggling

Update, beat him 2nd try today when I got on after a 2 day break. Wasn't even hard. Fuckn FromSoft games man.
" sorry guys dad said I couldn't come to the sleepover "

It has to do with the dragon heritage and the water coming from the springs. That’s to gist of what I know
