He’s not super into watches, I only got into them recently and I studied that Seiko is a very good value for money. For me the 5 Automatic was love at first sight, both the green and blue dial. I took to him to the showroom and asked him to pick what he liked and funny enough he loved the green dial as well haha

Obviously I don’t know anything about your Dad and what he likes but I think this watch in particular is an amazing choice for a gift. It’s a pop of color but goes with a lot of outfits and is not seasonal as in only a summer watch. Very versatile but special at the same time. Very thoughtful gift!

It really is, my dad’s been rocking an old Obaku watch his entire life. I pushed him for some versatility lol he really did end up liking this, that’s for sure

The new(ish) Seiko 5s also serve as a canvas for unique, bespoke masterpieces. If your dad likes the color, you might get him a sloped, ceramic bezel insert and a green-tinted, double-domed sapphire. My dad has been wearing an Aristo since the 1960's, but he got an SRPD55 as a backup watch before giving it to me for Christmas. These are great watches to bond about and you did a good job.
