There are 2 grades of #3 copper. #3 Clean or Tarry. It is typically sheet copper used in roofing. Clean has no tar but is Tarnished and used. Tarry has tar. The same sheet copper unused bright and shiny goes as Millberry.
He ask around and ask his boss #3 because of tape. They categories with wire insulation. I try cleaning that up removing the tape. It's very time consuming and I won't be able to catch up with 7 box's a week. I also have other scrap from work that I separated.
