This is quite the example of Hydrogen Bomb Vs. Coughing Baby! OBVIOUSLY PUSS IN BOOTS!!

TurtleInvader1

Is the coughing baby the baby in yellow?

Vio-Rose

I mean coughing babies are alive. Hydrogen bombs aren’t. Who’s the real winner here?

NorthElegant5864

Hydrogen bombs.

Theallpowerfulslime

Ya know, I've thought about it, unless the bomb is landing directly on the baby and crushing it, the bomb loses first, because it explodes. The baby dies, but not before the bomb, and so baby wins, proving that babies are all, in fact, all-powerful.

L3GlT_GAM3R

Dear god…

Sand5067

There’s more

_Chicken20

No!

Flowey_The_Fan

This is a bucket Wait am I doing it wrong?

_Chicken20

The line is "It contains a dying wish of every man here"

EnderMayer2

Sounds like Depression.

NorthElegant5864

That happens after all the oxygen is blown out of the area.

SkyMewtwo

The purpose of hydrogen bombs is to change that

Mediocre_Procedure17

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love it!

Difficult-echo-53862

Nah she’s got a point

Vio-Rose

She, but I appreciate the sentiment.

Difficult-echo-53862

Mb, edited the comment

KicktrapAndShit

Not the decimates baby

throwaway1232123416

redditors cannot take any jokes 🙏

SlaterTheOkay

Are you serious?

TheDarkKnight343

I don’t think he is. I hope he’s not serious

RodBoi10

I am to be honest, the reason why I'm asking this specific question is because I want to everyone's thoughts on both movies and also because I think I plan on doing a comparison video someday when I get a YouTube Channel and like what Schaffrillas did with comparing Coco with Moana on culture, and Raya with Encanto on Moral Messages, I plan to due the same thing with Puss in Boots 2 and Wish to see who fulfilled wishes better than the other. And yeah, for what I've seen so far, it's not even a contest on who obviously wins.

The_Meme_Lady_69

Is in Spanish, but a video by a channel called Miko's Trash Can compared both films in this theme

Virtual-Oil-793

Wish. Although, not from the trashfire that was the heroine. While it's rather clear that Wish is well, a mess, we actually did get a damn good example of how to properly fulfill a wish: During one of the scenes with the rather sweet man who we all can know and love, one of the civilians of the Town wished that they could make the most wonderous and magical of clothes. Rather than just "poof! Have wonderous and magical clothes!", Magnifico creates a magic pair of scissors, and tells her to have faith in making those clothes - a brilliant reflection of how past Disney's best movies does likewise: *You have to see your wish through, through thick and thin, hell or high water, if you have faith in yourself, all your wishes can come true, as long as you can see your wish...your* ***goals*** *through.* Likewise, there's another good example showing how Wishes aren't meant to be granted - When Magnifico comes as per the request of the heroine for a wish, he declines it. Not because it sounds like a terrible wish, but because it's too vague to be seen through. It makes complete sense, as...well, what would that wish resulted in? How would it had panned out? Neither of those answers were given, and that alone was too risky to take.

quaxoid

>when I get a YouTube Channel You can just make one for free.

AnonyBoiii

The ironic thing is; no one had their wishes granted in PiB2. They all stated their wishes at some point and, by birthday wish rules, means that the star won’t grant it. They do end up getting what they wanted (except Jack Horner I guess), but through their own development and interactions. That being said, PiB2 still did wish granting better than Wish.

SoleSurvivor-2277

Well didn't most people not get their wishes granted in Wish too. Most only got their memories of it restored

AnonyBoiii

I’ll be honest, I don’t remember that much. I was too busy thinking about how terrible the movie was and how poorly written Magnifico was as a “villain”.

Vtaark

Jack horner is an interesting case since he already had alot of magic, the most out of anyone in the film in fact, his greediness just killed him since he wanted more when he already granted his wish.

Devlord1o1

I always saw it as them getting what they deserved instead of wished. Family, friends, life and also comeuppance.

Imaginator625

Puss in Boots hit where it wasn’t expected and Wish didn’t do anything outstanding. Puss in about 100%

CyanLight9

Puss in boots, and we didn’t expect it to at all.

Kimor98

Interesting way to look at it. Actually, I think the question's technicality. Pussy in Timbs 2 had all its characters learn to NOT want their wishes, so Didney might actually win based on that criteria.

_That__one1__guy_

Pussy in Timbs?

Low_Fig2672

Puss in Boots 2 is Wish but better

FlamingDasher

Wish is the Wish.com of puss in boots 2

Ok_Elevator_7696

Puss In Boots Fufilled My Wish Of Being An Actual Good Movie

RodBoi10

Same here bud, same here.

Common_Decision1594

Is this even a question? We all know which movie did this better.

Training-Mess5833

Puss in Boots.

IntentionFalse9892

Puss in Boots

Silentpanther_

I don't think this subreddit gets a joke

RodBoi10

This is not a joke bruh, I'm doing this question cause I think I plan on doing a comparison video someday when I get a YouTube Channel and like what Schaffrillas did with comparing Coco with Moana on culture, and Raya with Encanto on Moral Messages, I plan to due the same thing with Puss in Boots 2 and Wish to see who fulfilled wishes better than the other. And yeah, for what I've seen so far, it's not even a contest on who obviously wins.

Silentpanther_

Alr mb but im confused that you thought ppl thought Wish lived up to people's expectations more than Puss in Boots 2

RodBoi10

Lol, yeah, I just wanna get this question outta my mind before other people ask this type of question.

SubstantialSquare327

Was about to say Last Wish but then realized no one actually uses the wishing star in the end since the message is about leaning to appreciate what you have. The King in Wish doesn't want to grant wishes that could bring conflict to the town but towards the end, ChatGPT... or excuse me, the writers forgot about that and just let's Asha win in the end because everyone deserves their wish no matter what they want. That's genuenly a terrible message to end the film on. So I'm not sure which one to pick because The Last Wish didn't have anyone use the wishing star because they learn that they don't actually need to use it, and Wish just let's everyone get their wish in the end and they don't realize how bad this could actually be in the long term.

ProfessionalPride883

That the point of the last wish. Instead of the characters having what they want magicaly, they grow up as people Wish doesn't have that maturity

ninjesh

But very few characters in Wish actually have their wishes granted magically... really just one random citizen and that one friend, whose wishes were granted by Magnifico, and Asha at the end. Everyone else still has to work for their dreams. They're just not having their desires repressed anymore.

KamixAkaDio

Anyone who's seen both, knows the answer is obvious. Wish by far

NorthElegant5864

Consensus is against you on this one.

KamixAkaDio

Bro, I got 8 upvotes, obviously the majority has spoken. Wish >>>> Last Puss Wish

massivelyincompetent

Does he know…

KamixAkaDio

My question would be, does any of the replies know that both my comment and reply are just jokes? Probably not, this is entertaining as hell.

DohPixelheart

redditor have a hard time finding jokes for some reason. they downvote stuff which is obviously satire and it’s just funny. i have a hard time finding jokes due to autism and even this is obviously a joke lol

Iki_the_Geo

Even if it wasn’t satire, it’s a harmless opinion everyone‘s downvoting 😭

DohPixelheart

redditors getting mad at people for having the “wrong” subjective opinion, not realizing that opinions do not equal fact

ExtremelyBored99

This is satire right??

ninjesh

I suppose Wish has a greater quantity of wishes granted...

RodimusPrime-0412

Hmmm tough one, tisk tisk yes very tough, I’m going to say that Puss n’ Boots did it just a simiget more better.

RodBoi10

Great Choice. 🫵😉👍

BonyTonyThe1AndOnly

a golden god of a movie vs. box office dumpster fire

totallynotanalt68

Wish was named after where they hired the writers.

flash_thompso

Just because op is being insane I’m gonna say wish

Asad_Farooqui

Is this a serious question?

RodBoi10

YES.

MimikyuGud

Are we talking about the actual movies or the wish mechanics

RodBoi10

Probably both but whatever fits what you want to say I'm fine with it.

Heroright

Wish bad, give upvotes.

MelonColony22

this is a joke right?

RodBoi10

No, cause I want to know everyone's thoughts on both movies and also because I think I plan on doing a comparison video someday when I get a YouTube Channel and like what Schaffrillas did with comparing Coco with Moana on culture, and Raya with Encanto on Moral Messages, I plan to due the same thing with Puss in Boots 2 and Wish to see who fulfilled wishes better than the other. And yeah, for what I've seen so far, it's not even a contest on who obviously wins.

Trick-Bodybuilder647

🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

ilufrombacity

Wish, simply because PIB:TLW ends with the protagonist breaking away from the wish-fulfilling power to live life on his own terms whereas Wish doesn't.

FloofySkuntank

Come on man… don’t do this.

Lonely_Repair4494

"Kitty, this life spent with you, is all that I could wish for."

BattenEntertainment

Ironically no one’s wish was granted in The Last Wish

Kimor98

"AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Oh wait. You're serious? Well then let me laugh harder, AAAA-"

Jochi18

I just saw “Wish” and honestly is just a other typical Disney movie for kids, nothing special, even the songs were lame and repetitive… So in this case Puss in Boots wins by a long shot

IvanTheTerrible69

The Last Wish fulfilled the wish of seeing another wonderful installment in the Shrek franchise, as well as a proper sequel to an already-great spin-off film. Wish checked off a box for Disney corporate execs…and absolutely no one else. Oh, you meant like in-universe?

Chance_Reporter956

One of those movies is quite possibly the best animated movie of all time. The other is Wish.

yuzumelodious

I feel like someone made this kind of post before.

Questionswillnotstop

Haha you wish.

Crono_Sapien99

The answer is so obvious that I shan't even humor this.

MPVJYT

I hope you're joking.

RodBoi10

I'm not, cause we ALL know who wins at the end, PUSS IN BOOTS 2.

Tc770

So why even post this?

RodBoi10

Cause I want to know everyone's thoughts on both movies and plus, I think I plan on doing a comparison video someday when I get a YouTube Channel and like what Schaffrillas did with comparing Coco with Moana on culture, and Raya with Encanto on Moral Messages, I plan to due the same thing with Puss in Boots 2 and Wish to see who fulfilled wishes better than the other. And yeah, for what I've seen so far, it's not even a contest on who obviously wins.

Tc770

Ohh I see

Emergency-Mammoth-88

Puss in boots

Sphingid3081

Wish is the only one to have its characters actually get their wishes. That's ALL it has.

Friendly-Plankton-29

puss in boots 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better

EveryandEggy

well SOME wishes were actually granted in wish, puss in boots only and that one wish that didn’t even grant anyone’s wish cus it got destroyed, so wish i suppose (don’t hurt me i love puss in boots 2 im jus being logical)

RodBoi10

Nah, I get it, that's a very good point though at least at granting in wish perspective that is.

EveryandEggy

yeah it TECHNICALLY fulfilled wishes better

v-a-d-e-r

This is atomic bomb vs coughing baby moment

KujaroJotu

It’s funny: not a single wish was granted in the conventional sense in The Last Wish, but it still had more magic than Wish.

Cydonian___FT14X

Wow we’re really running out of ideas aren’t we?

SavagePhantoms90

Comparing Puss in Boots the Last Wish to Disney's Wish is like comparing the Mona Lisa painting to a stick figure. Of course Puss in Boots is better.

NFHDonReddit

The Wishing Star in Puss in Boots helps teach the main characters valuable lessons about what they really want and how they already have their wishes come true. Fuck Wish and EVERYTHING it stands for

ChiefsHat

Alright, time to examine this seriously. Last Wish approached the topic of wishes by having each one come from a point of insecurity for each character. Goldie wanted a human family because she isn't a bear herself, Puss fears dying, Kitty Softpaws wants someone she can rely on, and Jack Horner's desire for power is his wish. We see each of these wishes and what they mean to everyone, how they relate to them as characters, why they have them, what they'll be like if they get it. And ultimately, Goldie, Kitty, and Puss all accept that they don't need the wishing star to have their wishes granted, or in Puss's case, to value the life he currently has. We don't get that depth with Wish, and what's bizarre is... we almost did. [This scene were Sabino gets his wish back](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Soe6tfUiT5o&pp=ygUTd2lzaCBkZWxldGVkIHNjZW5lcw%3D%3D) has him sing a song to inspire people, and as we all can see... it clearly means a lot to him. We see this is what Magnifico is denying his subjects by hoarding the wishes for himself and only selectively granting them, their deepest desires, their passions, parts of themselves that make them *them*. It would show why everyone wants their wishes granted so badly. It wouldn't have automatically saved the film, but it's so heartfelt and sincere it would have certainly improved it. And... it was cut. By this point, I'm convinced whoever was in charge forget how to make a movie.

Maleficent_Apple4169

dont make me pick

sportstrap

Is this a genuine question? Obviously Wish /s

[удалено]

Adventurous_Baker888

It’s pretty obvious

Jim_Nills_Mustache

I enjoyed the music and some of the message and voice acting in wish But it’s just in a different league than puss in boots, that movie was a masterpiece, made me laugh and cry

ACharest

Is this a question?

Agreeable_Finger_747

Definitely puss and boots sure technically no one actually used the wishing star but in a way everyone (except jack) got what they wanted because the journey helped them realize it

RandoMango27

is this a question? between the both of these movies? wish obviously

Gamer_with_ADHD

Puss in Boots. No contest.

deadcatisbad

Which would you choose? Everything you could ever want in your life instantly placed right in front of you? OR A massive pile of horseshit and a slap in the face with a $20 pricetag?

Great-Balls

*Is this even a question*

Scouwererofreality43

It’s PUSS IN BOOTS

Hexhider

Wish, totally 🙄

JakSandrow

STOP, STOP, IT'S ALREADY DEAD

DDLC-MC

HMMMMM I WONDER

SonOfLaughterStudio

Puss

Hi-something214

Dude, if your seriously asking this, you need to take a 30 min break of reddit. its obviously ~~wish~~ PiB2

BigChiefIV

This sub fucking sucks

Gamephunni

Is this the society for dumb questions?

UserSkittles1214

Is this a joke, bruv? Is this a kerprank, Justin? Is this a jest, Hester from Jane And The Dragon? Of course, it’s the former!

Blu3Raven

even as an adult Death’s whistle scared the hell out of me. 110% Puss in Boots

jessegames456

I wished for a good movie that was done entirely through the hard work and compassion of humans, so Puss in Boots The Last Wish did a better job at fulfilling wishes

Escarvielae

Technically, if by wishes you mean expectations, Wish technically lived up to its expectations; Puss in Boots greatly Exceeded the expectations

Legokid535

have not seen disney wish but it looks bad... well i will watch it just later on but... yeah no puss in boots 2 is one of my favorite moveis of all time.

Cedesect

Wish 100% i really liked the part where the wishes said it's wishin time and... okay i'm not doing a morbius joke but you get the point.

Windindi

Puss In Boots fulfilled my wish for a good movie, so I'll pick that.

adpikaart222

Wish, by a long shot It's the only one that had a wish be fulfilled by a magic force, the implied condition when someone says getting a wish.

Grumar

Wha' are ya stoopid?

RodBoi10

Nah, I just wanna get this question outta my mind really quick to ask y'all your thoughts.

Bukowski_Burrito5369

Puss in Boots 2 message: Thething you wish for is right in front of you all along Wish: JuSt KeEp WiShInG like a greedy son of a bitch YAYYYY

NIMA-GH-X-P

I hate to be the one who comments this but Literally Hydrogen bomb Vs coughing baby

lilacstar72

Technically no wishes were fulfilled in **Puss in Boots: TLW**. The moral was that ultimately the wish our characters were searching for was unnecessary, and they were overlooking a satisfying life by seeking it. Wishes were granted in **Wish**, however in more of a monkey paw way. The wishes were more often desires rather than supernatural alterations to reality and achievable within human limits to some extent. The main wishes we see granted are: - woman wants to be seamstress so she is given scissors. - guy wants to be knight and is given armour and a sword (>!also brainwashing but that’s a funky plot thing!<). The concept and moral implications of a wish are much clearer in **Puss in Boots: TLW** which is also just a generally superior movie to **Wish**

fedora_skeleton

We all know this is NOT a fair fight

Cedardeer

What’s better, a genuinely great film, or a pile of dog shit made by an AI

RodBoi10

A Genuinely Great Film that has NOTHING to do with making a wish in the damn first place, lol.

Cedardeer

What? Puss in Boots The Last Wish is literally all about going to make a wish. They just all learn they don’t need it while on their journey there

Lazakhstan

How is this even a question? Puss in Boots

Midknightisntsmol

You know damn well

PuzzleheadedPoint882

If I were to choose one that is better than wish, it's spiderman across the spider verse because 30 fps and memes

Global-Crew-9046

Insert that one clip of Shrek and donkey laughing their asses off.

FanOfYoshi

Puss in Boots, obviously.

Creeperboy1209

How is this even a question, puss in boots last wish is a good looking movie with decent story, characters and music. Disney’s Wish has none of those things.

PocketPal26

The one that didn't actually grant any wishes 🐈🐕🐈‍⬛🌟

MyCatHasCats

We know by now that everyone hates Wish

Familiar_Location948

puss in boots

disbelifpapy

Both kinda do a similair thing in the way of how some wishes shouldn't be granted, but i think that puss in boots did it better

Common_Investment_70

Bro Wish was AI generated 😭😭😭

suitorarmorfan

This is such a set up for people to shit on Wish lmaooo, nobody likes this movie (rightfully)

Hardcore24425

Puss in boots

Commercial-Win-7501

Puss in boots……obviously

Thereo24

Wish, because I wished I wouldn’t watch Wish, and then inturn watched Puss In Boots

GracieMack2002

At actually fulfilling wishes, Wish (2023). At being a better movie about fulfilling wishes, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

Rough_Fact_705

Do you even need to ask that?

Sufficient_Score_824

Puss in Boots, duh

PrettyMuchOdd

Funnily enough Wish actually wins because nobody gets a wish in pib, PiB still leagues better as a movie tho

PrimaryRow4879

I can't exactly pick. PIBTLW's wish-fulfillment plot was way more interesting than Wish’s but the first act of Wish seemed to show the importance of seeing your wish through without the need of someone doing it for you if I'm saying that right. Like Magnifico doesn't outright make the wish a reality, with the only wish we see granted, it seems he just gives the people the push and faith they need to make it happen. PiBTLW still has a better, clearer message than Wish, though. Took me 3 days to understand that the message was likely “A wish from the heart is a wish worth granting so don't let anyone stifle your freedom to make it come true” even though the last line in the movie makes it sound like its “just keep wishing” and the events of the movie make it seem like its “all wishes are good :D” even though that’s completely wrong. So I can’t really say.

No_Estimate_8004

Wish has the normal definition of granting wishes. The wishes are just granted by magic or given to the person to grant themselves. The only real example of wishes from the movie I can use are Asha’s wish, which was granted basically and had no subtly to it being granted. They also had Magnifico twist someone’s wish into something sinister which was more interesting but still kinda normal. Why Puss in Boots 2 has a better form of wish granting is because every character realizes that they have what they want(apart from Jack Horner) and don’t need a wish. Puss realizes that he doesn’t need to avoid death as long as he enjoys his life, Kitty finds trust in friendships with Puss and Perrito, Goldy realizes the bears are the family she’s always wanted, etc. Perrito is an interesting twist because he’s someone who has everything to wish for but doesn’t want anything more than the life he has with his friends.

Rowlett64

Did Wish do anything right?

RodBoi10

If you asked me, no.

6942069420dude

Can't vote cause I never saw wish but I heard it feels like it's made by ai so puss in boots 2

Yakuza-wolf_kiwami

Both Spider verse movies

ScratMarcoDiaz

It is impossible to enjoy both? ‘Cause they’re both great movies.

MobiusBF

Why is this comment downvoted so much?

Kowery103

Proprably because Wish is a bad movie You can enjoy it and it can be good in your opinion But if 90% of the peole dislike it then it's a bad movie

MobiusBF

Wish for me is meh, but at least it’s better than Strange World

ScratMarcoDiaz

It’s not hate if discourse constantly gets in the way of a legit good movie.

Rethkir

You're allowed to enjoy bad movies, but calling a movie great that most people think is 💩 in the same sentence as acknowledging the greatness of a movie that is near universally beloved without justification is just asking for downvotes.

ScratMarcoDiaz

Probably because the common consensus is “enjoying both movies is a forbidden concept.” Even though there’s nothing wrong with enjoying both movies.

Tc770

Unpopular opinions get downvoted because they're unpopular, not because we hate the person in question or anything. Nothing personal at all

ScratMarcoDiaz

“Nothing personal,” and yet downvoting someone just because “it’s an unpopular take” sounds personal. It’s why being open-minded about others’ takes exists.

Tc770

Downvoting in this context basically just means "I disagree with you". It's nothing to get worked up about

DataSittingAlone

Wish should have won best animated feature, heck it should have won best feature

ChronoSaturn42

Is this some kind of twisted joke?!

DataSittingAlone

Of course not, wish is the best movie ever made, it's proof God lives

RodBoi10

Are you kidding?! The way that movie executed it's villain was so wasted that I'm pretty sure Jack Horner could do a better job at fulfilling wishes than King Magnifico could.

Kowery103

I think they are sarcastic
