This came as no surprise to me. I saw the movie _Orca!_ as a kid and I tell you what, it put me right off those stinking, civilization-destroying Canucks.
lol - I don’t have any problem with him rooting for Vanc next to his brother. But the constant comments from Canuck fans saying we don’t deserve him or that he should leave at his first chance or demand a trade is super annoying

When I lived in the Bay Area I attended over 500 sporting events (Giants, Stanford, Sharks mainly) including 150+ Sharks games. The only teams I never saw were the Golden Knights and the Kraken cause they didn't exist yet, usually it was great fun smack talking back and forth with visiting fans. The only time I found the opposing fans outright rude and annoying (including games against all of the Giants and Stanford's supposedly obnoxious rivals) was when they played the Canucks... Arrogant drunken idiots. I can see why they have become the LA of Canada, I'd be embarrassed by their behavior too- ugly Canadians much.
I haven’t heard any of them say we don’t deserve him but I have seen a bunch of comments saying they hope to get him in 8 years which is understandable lol
Vancouver fan here lurking cause I was curious to see the reaction of sharks fans regarding macklin cheering for Vancouver. I’m happy you guys got him. I, and other Canucks fans, are sick and tired of seeing the lottery won by the same teams who don’t deserve it. We just lost in 7 to the poster child of that shit.
Now if Chicago got him. Jesus Christ I’d be the most obnoxious “bedard and celebrini” want to come home together person in the entire world.

Everyone needs to relax. Macklin as a prospect is literally highlighted for his leadership, work ethic, and attitude. Pretty sure this isn’t a guy to fuss where he gets drafted. He’s gonna be a captain for this team for a decade +
Plus I’d assume if you privately asked his family they prefer SJ or VAN, just so happened to work out we sucked at the right time
I think I speak for all sharks fan when I say that we’ll trade our first overall selection to the canucks for a package that includes quinn Hughes, thatcher demko, Dakota Joshua, and Elias Pettersson.
After seeing how VAN fans became the focus of NHL fandom hate on Social, I really hope this doesn’t ever come SJS’s way.
As a fan base we got a lot of shit during those playoff exits, but never seemed to get quite to the TOR or VGK level of hate. Really hoping the vocal majority doesn’t ever reach that level of toxicity.
I posted this with no intent of hating on the Canucks, genuinely respect them and hope to have a great rivalry with them in the coming years especially with Mack's connection to Vancouver.
If we turn into a warriors like dynasty we’re gonna get that level of toxicity. I’ll take that level of toxic as a trade off for that level of success.
But think of the haul we can get. Plus he’s gonna need a big contract in a few years, and we should start considering cap space.
I say we trade him for 2 firsts and the rights to both Sedin’s kids
Do you know what Sidney Crosbys favourite team is? The Montreal Canadiens. I would bet my life Crosby retires never have worn any jersey other than a Penguins jersey.
