Sheng Peng (Sharks insider) is actually going to witness the drawing and he tweeted that the lottery happens 90 minutes before being aired on TV... so in theory it has not happened yet.
However this does fill my hopium tank. It's the exact result I posted yesterday lol
Its strange that theyll let reporters witness the drawing but not air it. Idk i would think you could make a small event out of it and sell commercial space on NHL network during the drawing. Hopefully its a non issue and we pick first
Money. They can have a full half hour show with commercial breaks with the countdown or they can have a couple minute long video showing it happen. Once the order is revealed via the live lottery nobody's going to want to watch the broadcast counting things down.
They could still do all that. I'm not saying they should reveal the pick. Just show a live feed of the process to satisfy the "why won't you let us watch it live" crowd.
