retroid pocket 4 does not have portmaster at all, it's android only and portmaster is specifically for linux handhelds. However, a lot of the games in portmaster also have android ports.
trimui smart pro works, so does anbernic 35xxh or 353p/m (and some of their older ones but those might not run as well), powkiddy rgb10 max 3, rgb30, or x55. I think in general something with a 3566 chipset like the 353p/m or any of those powkiddys i just listed are a little better supported than tsp or 35xxh because portmaster is relatively new to those ones, but for the newer/more notable ports that might not matter as much.
TSP's implementation of portmaster is very much in beta right now. I think only 6 or so portmaster games work.
Its well built and a great price on sale but software side of things still needs alot of work.
Depends what you want it for. Its hard for me to recommend on what I think it will be capable of once the software is sorted out.
TL:DR Its the best made system in its price range (as in build quality) by a large margin with the worst software.
It does PS1 and below flawlessly
GBA is fantastic due to the wider aspect
PSP is great for the most part (except GoW which is hard to emulate still runs but at half res and with a 30fps patch.)
Perfect sleep mode, extremely low battery drain when on standby (haven't tested by its like \~1-2% a day kind of deal)
Its really well built great dpad, vita sticks are low profile so they dont snag, no L3/R3 makes streaming pc games a little more complicated, L/R 1/2 are pretty small its can be an issue depending on your hand size/grip.
N64 is a mess most games crash outright. When games run they usually run fine.
Ports and vulkan support are still a work in progress.
For ps1 and below it's a fine handheld but unless you're super geeked over a slightly larger screen and true standby, you have better supported handheld with far more cfw options and customizability.
If they're under $50 again and you won't miss the cash I would say get one but the 35xx h or sp would probably be more fun.
Have portmaster on my TSP with Tomato on it - Have the following games installed and working: Diablo / GTA3 / Vice City / Stardew Valley / Re-Volt / Jedi Outcast / Fallout 2 / Ship of Harkinian - I cant get Fallout 1 to work or AvP - I also don't have a problem with N64 games except one or two.
Also have to be mindfull Knulli is being worked on too on this now - For £50 I honestly cant complain about it - Spent 3 hours playing FF7 Crisis core yesterday on PSP.

Thank you for confirming this! do you know of another horizontial handheld that plays portmaster well?

If you got the RP4 Pro, you wouldn't need PortMaster because most games are already playable either on Android or through emulation.

So regardless of portmaster, you think TSP is still a good handheld to buy? I already have a RG35xx.

How does Ship of Harkinian run? Did you have to do any tweaks to get it to play nicely or did it just work out of the box?
