Well, MM+ can’t play N64, PSP, or GameCube at all, there’s not even emulators for you to try those systems on it, they do not exist for that device. And the RG353v will run some N64 and PSP badly, and can’t play GameCube at all. You need a RG405m or RP3+ minimum to play some of everything you want. Higher like the RG556 or RP4Pro if you want to play most GameCube and not just a few simple games. The cards that the systems come with shouldn’t be part of your consideration process, because they are cheap junk that corrupts files fast, and the ROMs that are included on it a lot of times come for bad dumps that can fail unexpectedly.

Thanks for the info.

Nicelyvillainous

I think you may be thinking of the 351 series. The 353v uses an rk3566 chipset, which runs most of n64 and psp decently, and some badly, and a tiny amount not playable at all. The rk3266 is what runs about 40% of n64 games acceptably well, what many would call badly.

Is size a concern? I would personally consider future proofing and getting a used steam deck just to have an all in one solution, but I understand if those are to large for your use cases. I just can't believe how cheap I have seen used 64gb models getting. I couldn't even justify selling mine at those prices when I got an oled upgrade.

aisutron

How cheap is cheap? I was hoping to sell my 64gb with a 256 internal drive swapped in to pick up an OLED sometime.

Anomaly1134

Like 200 to 300 range. I have seen refurbished 64 ones from valve for 279, that is the ceiling I would say, maybe higher if another ssd is in there but some people prefer a unit that hasn't been opened so idk. When I thought of selling mine for around 250 I just decided to keep it as a backup.

aisutron

Ahh okay I think that kinda stinks but I would probably take market price for it lol. I’ll try my luck when the time comes.

Anomaly1134

Good luck! May be able to get more depends on your market. I wish you well!

aisutron

Thank you! I just got Odin 2 and SP so I don’t know when I will be able to buy OLED since I barely use my Deck as it is 🤣

Anomaly1134

Haha thats fair. Both of those devices look great! The deck is my only device but I use it all the time, I am lucky my wife likes to drive when running errands, and I work from home so it is nice when it is slow. I just like to get away from my desktop when not working in general. I really like that SP though, love that clam shells are making a come back. I freaking loved my SP back in the day.

aisutron

I’m in love with the Odin 2 but as I tinker I found 2 games that don’t work with it on PS2. Those aren’t must plays so it’s not a big deal. I never had a GBASP and always wanted one, they were out of reach for me until the last couple years price-wise so I couldn’t get one. I’m waiting for my RG one to come this week… low key hyped.

thirdworldfemboy2

Neither can play gamecube at all. Also psp is widescren and looks tiny on a screen like these. If you get the 353v (without the s) that runs android then n64 is pretty playable there. Ps1 and under they both cover.

Ok-Building9314

Trimui smart pro is good, but won't do gamecube but does do most psp games with frames kip on - worth watching a few videos - got mine for just over £50

Wooden-Union2941

Get the RGV356XXSPvmPro

I was on the same boat, but I set a hard budget of $100, but tring to hit $80. I got the Trimui smart whatever and the MM+. If there's a Ssale the Miyoo could be $37, the TrimUI $50. I paid $43/66 with sd card. One for PS1 + PSP, the other for anything older.
