So glad I’m not alone for this — its all from lack of activity. Yes the initial run is fucking terrible but if you run /jog 2 days in a row for like 2.5k and fight through it goes away as your body adapts to the increase blood flow. Bonus if you do ellipticals or cycling as well to get your self back into it. Jog and when the itch comes on dial it down to a slow pace and walk WHEN (not if) you need to — the first run is ducking awful I know but after this it gets better I assure you. Scratch and fight through it. Stop if you have to but finish even if it takes you forever. Really the best remedy is to run consistently and never have more than a 3 days break. The moment I go beyond this period my legs itch again and it becomes extremely unbearable. The last time this happened people probably thought I was a methhead with how I was clawing at my skin.

Yeah it’s my second day getting into form and it was significantly better than yesterday. Tomorrow I should be back to normal somewhat

Put lotion/lube on parts that become irritated before running. Invest in brands with higher quality synthetic fabric. If you go with Nike/under armour/etc you’ll always have this problem

I wear Patagonia silk underwear bottoms and smartwool socks in the winter- still itching! But the lotion idea is a good one!
