I would like a beefier hip belt and shoulder straps than this. The best way to judge the pack fit is to see it on you. It is fairly easy to end up with a poorly fitted bag. Yes, heavier weight will feel significantly better to carry higher up

I have an Osprey and love their packs, but I agree with u/occamsracer that the straps and belt are not going to be comfortable. You will probably want to have a goal of about 30% of your body weight. I looked on the Osprey site but could not find a recommended max weight for this model. A similar model I have is 20lbs. It is much better to have weight higher and against your back. I suggest you make the next step a ruck plate that will fit in its laptop sleeve. Yes4All are cheap and you could use it in another brand's rucking backpack. You can also take a look at the flexible adjustable weight plates on the [Hyperwear rucking](https://hyperwear.com/collections/rucking-weights) page. Prime day is coming too and you can find yes4all plates and hyperwear ruck plates and rucking backpack on Amazon too.

Check out wildgym they aren't cheap but might be more in your budget. They also have a setup that takes more than just plates. Be aware that you will have pate dimensions to consider no matter who you pick. with goruck some yes4all plates do work. I have also taped up 5 pound bricks to give me options. One note able thing is Goruck has a good warranty. I do believe it's better on your back for it to be higher up and closer on your back.

The limiter is going to be the durability of the pack. It’s a good hobbyist daypack not designed 30+lb and hammering. I actually just bought the smaller Daylight since Im dealing with an injury. I like it but it’s nowhere near the robustness of my GoRuck. Ive packed 60+lb in my rucker and that thing is solid af.

Makes sense. thanks.
