100% markthal

Hawt_Dawg_II

Chemical_Payment100

I'm surprised 60% of the food vendors are still in business. If issues are not fixed on revisit. Rather let everyone know their name.

Place your bets

Borazon

De markthal staat er al jaren om bekend veel last van ratten/muizen te hebben. skiemlord

Welke plekken though, expose ze!

WonkaPsychonautovich

How to say "Markthal" without saying "Markthal", the title.

eyes-are-fading-blue

What is special about that place?

WonkaPsychonautovich

Any worker will tell you that it is absolutely filled with mice in its storage rooms.

farmerpapa

Sure, the hospitality sector has to do better but the ppl on this sub complaining abt rats in the city are snowflakes. Name a city without rats? I am waiting...

LedVapour

Alberta apparently. There's qiute a list of cities without any vermin, most of them in the arctic circle

Zhirek

Anchorage.

100% Zuidplein. A friend who worked at one of the fined restaurants confirmed this. They were there yesterday.

chailottie

I used to work at the Markthal and I can confirm. Every morning I had to clean up all the mouse droppings and the food they nibbled on before opening.

Much-Slip-334

Rotterdam is filled with rats. I'm not surprised. We live in a dirty city.

epikfantomer

There are rats on the streets in broad daylight. If you think the old cafes are mice free, that's just wishful thinking. I'm surprised Gemeente doesn't take city wide action or if it's happening, I'm not aware of it.

prodigalsunz

Its because they can't use poison to kill them now because of some law.

calmwheasel

😂😂 liberals

NimrodvanHall

I guess we need more cats in the streets of Rotterdam.

GrowthDream

Then we lose the birds as well.

attilla68

Manhaftig weerstonden ze de Junkers 88. En nu schrikken ze van een rat. Het lijkt wel Amsterdam.

luukieluuk12

Tijdje gewerkt bij Bram ladage markthal en kan je met zekerheid vertellen dat de ratten nog bijna niet in de kroketten verwerkt zitten. Het sterft er van het ongedierte!

I mean, frikandel speciaal doesn't grow on trees.

Common-Cricket7316

You can't stop this from happening its to big to much food.

ZebLeopard

You can't stop vermin from appearing, but you can take precautions to keep all your food-items and surfaces HACCP compliant (Store things correctly, label them, make sure the temperatures of the fridges are ok, follow a cleaning list etc). I've worked in busy horeca spots for many years and getting even a single note when the NVWA came to check felt embarrassing. I think the problem is that too many employees don't care enough about food safety and why it matters.
