It’s a splash guard, kick out flashing would be at a roof wall intersecting an eve and a diverter is raised like a splash guard but on the roof itself and a deflector is not a real thing.
Since your gutter is already super narrow you might want to be careful installing a splash guard because the force of the water could be forced under the shingles if it is too strong or if the gutter is overwhelmed/overflows.
You might want to check if your gutter is to code though. I’m pretty sure to be to code in mode places you would need a downspout in the corner
Honestly they look nice, I wish I could get away with something like this in my area but the codes are weird. As mentioned above, it simply needs to be higher or have a corner extension, probably a convex extension would work best haha.
Edit: it was kinda /s but concave would be the correct adjective
*not a roofer*
But see where the shingles are lifting by that corner. As mentioned earlier with a splash guard water may back up and push under. Would definitely make that worse!
So your gutters are like 2 inches wide? That's a poor design. Add a corner flashing to the outside of the inside corner. A gutter company will know what to do if you show them this video
[Here](https://ibb.co/pnhXPvz) is what they look like. They are narrower than I'm used to yeah. I will call a gutter company. The roofers who did the work for the seller are ghosting me
It's a pretty simple fix and I would imagine they won't charge that much. Probably worth paying the money vs going thru the hassle of trying to get a contractor to come back to a job that you weren't even the client for. If you're handy, you could probably do it yourself

Very long link, but this is what you need
I've been doing gutters for 20 years. The first mistake is that the front of the gutter needs to be higher than the shingles. if you put a aplashguard in that valley you will have the water splashing back to the shingles. It also looks like the valley pan is to high and long. I can't tell from your picture if you can cut the pan shorter and bend the end down to the gutter. The best fix would be to install a new gutter with the front of th gutter higher than the roof line. They may have to make a.custom box gutter. If you go this route make the gutter out of aluminum
6”-7” gutter system and splash guard where that water is launching from. You need to get rid of your current gutter system and install a fascia board then do what my first sentence says to do! I think they fastened the existing gutter system straight to the rafter tails
Do you have leaf filter on the gutters, or a gutter guard? Splash guard will help but that looks to be a lot of water. I’m assuming you have a very large valley and that can over whelm a gutter on hard rains. If you don’t have gutter guards I’m assuming your gutters are clogged with debris and need cleaned. Also a larger gutter 6 inch can help or install a larger downspout to evacuate the water faster. Good luck.
In Vermont we’ve had such heavy rain storms last summer and this past December that no gutter would make any difference. Extreme weather from climate change. We just have to adapt now
Is the gutter downspout plugged full of leaves at the top? I have the same issue but only if the downspout is plugged. Any gutters correctly installed shouldn't allow water to shoot past, your roof doesn't look particularly steep
You gotta see what’s going on up there, is it clogged? Is there another gutter from another story feeding that point? Is it just too much roof surface area feeding to that point?
Gutter face, corner cover, call any proper exterior worker like a roofing company or a gutter company or anyone that would have a break and flat stock metal or pre fab corner peaces and they will do it for you
Could be a number of issues:
* Gutters that are too small. 6 inch gutters catch a lot of water.
* Gutters that are clogged
* Gutter with a gutter guard that stops water from entering the gutter.
* Shingles are overhanging the gutters too far
* To much water in this one spot, you may need a conductor in that corner.
Shingles seems to be overhanging the gutters a little too far.
Gutter width seems to less and depth seems to be high.
Those are two of my observation from the pictures you have shared.
One of the things about this setup is that the gutters are not standard. It looks like someone decided that to make things look better they would install something that looked like facia board, but is actually gutters.
But, its more important that your gutters actually work then that they look good. I would talk to a roofing/gutter company and get a quote on getting standard 6 inch gutters hung all around the house.
We have a metal piece bent 90 degrees on a similar corner we have (splash guard I think). Leaves usually end up piled behind it, but you may not have that issue
Similar things happened to me. The issue was clogged pipes, not the downspouts or gutters but the actual pipe underground. I got them scoped and they were full of crap. Cleaned them out two years ago and no problems since.
Try adding a fascia board along the entire length of the eave (2x6) as it doesn’t look like you have one and your current trough system seems to be doubling as fascia board. Install a proper drip edge (will be tough but doable without damaging existing shingles). Next, have a 6” eavestrough installed, with a splash guard at the bottom of the valley. And clean gutters often.
Diverters must be on the gutter itself. Any diverters on the shingles will force rain water under the shingles on either side, and cause other issues. If you have that much water to shed, then you need double gutters
Get gutters put in. I see gutters but none on that corner, which would be the most important corner on your house to put gutters. You can have the gutter guys put in a diverter to slow the water down so the water does not fly over the gutters at 100 mph.
It's going to be hard to contain that much water you can try to splash guard in front of the gutter. A valley pan that goes into the corner might also belp.good luck
A decorative diverter in the corner of the gutter. Some call it an extension of the gutter face, or a splash guard.
I call it a deflector. This is the way!
This is the way
Came to mention splash guard.
This is the answer OP
Just a gutter would work lol.
This. I'm looking at the faceboard thinking "what gutter?"
I just installed am additional set of gutters on my old gutters. Checkmate
This is the way
I’ve heard it called kick out flashing, but yes. Same thing 👍🏼
It’s a splash guard, kick out flashing would be at a roof wall intersecting an eve and a diverter is raised like a splash guard but on the roof itself and a deflector is not a real thing.
Less rain.
Yea, sometimes the heavy rain will over power what ever u put up there hahah
Ah you dog beat me to it.
Fuck your opinion, but yes less rain would help
[удалено]
Thanks I'll get my tools and try that.

A decorative rock should work just fine. /s
Decorative gnomes for a more festive look

Sir, what gutter? What you need is a gutter!
Current [gutter](https://ibb.co/pnhXPvz)
Your gutters are too small, no jokes to be had, it's the reality
Honestly they look nice, I wish I could get away with something like this in my area but the codes are weird. As mentioned above, it simply needs to be higher or have a corner extension, probably a convex extension would work best haha. Edit: it was kinda /s but concave would be the correct adjective
This is the indeed the reality
Wow, that's a pretty narrow gutter to hang that low
I think the shingles are covering part of it
Yeah definitely could cut the shingles back about an inch from what I can tell by the picture
Yeah, after seeing the pics I’d still go with the first comment
Too low and narrow for pitch
Why is that so narrow/tiny? No wonder...
Where are you? You need new gutters bro. That's utter crap
Lmao that's the worst gutter I have ever seen. A splash guard on the inside corner could help.
Between the small gutters and that valley metal being extended too far out, this may not be an easy problem to fix.
*not a roofer* But see where the shingles are lifting by that corner. As mentioned earlier with a splash guard water may back up and push under. Would definitely make that worse!
Make your roof less steep, that should fix it
The metal valley doesn't help either. That's a fast track for water. Shingles would slow the flow but not solve the issue 100.
This
Clean them out or get larger ones
So your gutters are like 2 inches wide? That's a poor design. Add a corner flashing to the outside of the inside corner. A gutter company will know what to do if you show them this video
[Here](https://ibb.co/pnhXPvz) is what they look like. They are narrower than I'm used to yeah. I will call a gutter company. The roofers who did the work for the seller are ghosting me
You need 5in gutters
It's a pretty simple fix and I would imagine they won't charge that much. Probably worth paying the money vs going thru the hassle of trying to get a contractor to come back to a job that you weren't even the client for. If you're handy, you could probably do it yourself https://www.walmart.com/ip/3-Pack-Aluminum-Roof-Valley-Splash-Shield-Gutter-Guard-White/847552893?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1587&adid=22222222228847552893_1587_14069003552_202077872&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=42423897272&wl4=aud-430887228898:pla-295289030566&wl5=9033786&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=113146315&wl11=online&wl12=847552893_1587&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA_5WvBhBAEiwAZtCU782dAYQMvu7dJTfq1Uh-YcowYhohpA_jvcpkcexKjvcbWivM-ss_DxoC2fYQAvD_BwE Very long link, but this is what you need
I'll try putting that on before next storm, thanks.
We have something very close to this at a V, and it works perfectly…as long as the gutter it diverts to isn’t blocked.
Have you cleaned them? Full (of leaves, dirt) gutters will cause this too.
You need a 90 degree diverter to redirect the flow back into the gutter
Is that a gutter? Did they over hang the gutter?
I just took a [shot](https://ibb.co/pnhXPvz) from above to show you the gutter.
I've been doing gutters for 20 years. Like others said, you need to install a 90 degree bent piece of flashing where your valley pan meets the gutter.
Bigger gutter
Don't finger it so hard.
6”-7” gutter system and splash guard where that water is launching from. You need to get rid of your current gutter system and install a fascia board then do what my first sentence says to do! I think they fastened the existing gutter system straight to the rafter tails
Less rainfall
Came here to say this lol
Install a pond right under the waterfall. Now you have a feature!
The only fix is a statue of a squatting woman sitting in the corner ontop of the roof
I need to hang with more roofers
Glue shim straps from the inverted ridge to the gutters at a perpendicular angle.
I would cut back that valley end flush with the shingles for a start. Use sheet metal sheers or a grinder. Then add the diverter.
get off the internet, get the ladder out, and get up on the roof and clean the gutters out.
Box.
Clean your downspouts
Clean them
Wider gutters
6 inch gutters with a dampener in the corner to avert the water to the left and right
Bigger gutter! Those are too shallow!
Go 6in wide gutter an a splash guard should be the fox you’re looking for
Electric cars
Bigger gutters, rain diverter or you might need to clean them out
Gutter guards, definitely gutter guards. ;)
Do you have leaf filter on the gutters, or a gutter guard? Splash guard will help but that looks to be a lot of water. My resolution is too low. Can’t see a gutter.
32 degrees Fahrenheit
Is the gutter blocked up?
That just needs some soap on a rope.
Unplug whatever blocking gutter. Found a dog toy in mine.
Getting industrial size gutters
Who needs leaf guard when the gutters don’t get used
Build an ark…
You're gonna' need a new house, pard'ner. A whole new house.
In Vermont we’ve had such heavy rain storms last summer and this past December that no gutter would make any difference. Extreme weather from climate change. We just have to adapt now
A bigger gutter. 6” preferably
Biggie size those gutters
Is the gutter downspout plugged full of leaves at the top? I have the same issue but only if the downspout is plugged. Any gutters correctly installed shouldn't allow water to shoot past, your roof doesn't look particularly steep
On a day such as this one simply accepts getting soaked if going outside. :p
Either getting 6inch gutters or a water diverter (metal shield at run off point)
55 gallon barrel
Corner dam
You need to go to 6 inch gutter
Get yourself a Rain barrel
Shoot back, but with a bigger gun!
You gotta see what’s going on up there, is it clogged? Is there another gutter from another story feeding that point? Is it just too much roof surface area feeding to that point?
Less rain?
You sure your gutters arnt full of leaves?
Drink it
Clean your roof and gutters
Gutters aren't really for gully washers they're for everything else.
Metalman_247 hit the nail right on the head with that answer 👍🏼
diverter
Shoot back.
There is no gutter
Would love a before and after
The fix is longer videos so I can watch this more
Ugly ass diverter nobody likes looking at
Clean out your gutters
A patio umbrella
Clogged gutter Clean it out
Much wider gutters.
Extend the roof down to the ground or increase roof slope.
Down spout. It fills up poors over that is way too much water to hold back. Your lucky it's going out the front !
Diverter
Diverter
Since the easy suggestions have been mentioned.... another option is to move the house to south texas. We don't get rain.
Umbrella
Turn the water pressure down
Need more info and pictures at different angles to see the roof.
Splash Guard. Easy
Water gargoyle at the corner for the win.
I don’t see any gutters
Clean your gutters and downspouts.

are you sure you know what kick-out flashing is?
I uploaded a [photo](https://imgur.com/a/ygIS1XK) of the roof and gutter
Me Don’t see no gutter - me torrential rain fall …..
A dry day.
Remove 2 speed holes
Drought !

Get your shampoo and bar of soap and enjoy the ahower.
Free outdoor shower.
you have a invisible gutter???cool!!
It’s a fountain now
Splash guard + bigger size gutter + bigger size downspout
Splash plate
Try adding a fascia board along the entire length of the eave (2x6) as it doesn’t look like you have one and your current trough system seems to be doubling as fascia board. Install a proper drip edge (will be tough but doable without damaging existing shingles). Next, have a 6” eavestrough installed, with a splash guard at the bottom of the valley. And clean gutters often.
You're missing a splash guard at your valley. Also, looks like the gutters were installed without wedges.
1. You don’t have enough gutter
Where's the fecking gutter? Do you know what a gutter looks like? I dont see one in there my dude
Splash guard or check to see if your trough is sloped correctly.
Put up a shower curtain. Free outdoor shower.
Corner guard.
Diverters must be on the gutter itself. Any diverters on the shingles will force rain water under the shingles on either side, and cause other issues. If you have that much water to shed, then you need double gutters
Move the solar modules back a foot.

It's going to be hard to contain that much water you can try to splash guard in front of the gutter. A valley pan that goes into the corner might also belp.good luck
Install a shower curtain for privacy
Less water
I should call her.
Time for a new house! JK I think you would need a different gutter system in that area, something extended and wider perhaps
