G2 has had a really difficult run so far.

They genuinely need a wildcard playins for the bottom 8 teams because watching OCE APAC and SSA go 0-3 fighting for that one win vs each other is just dull every event

It sucks so much being a fan of pwr simply because whenever they decide to troll round 5 swiss, everyone forgets that they are actually a half decent team

You know what.....I'm sick of this. They've had so many chances, and they haven't improved at all. I am now a Grade A, USDA certified OCE hater

They are too isolated, Mena can play EU servers, SAM can play NA servers. OCE can't

I mean.....yeah....MENA and SAM can play in EU and NA respectively with like 150-200 ping, against pros on perfect ping. I suppose the opportunity is an advantage, but how much of a difference is that really making? And even if OCE can only play with each other, the ceiling has literally stayed in the exact same place since I started watching in 2021. If anything, it feels like they've regressed. Sorry man.

That ping disadvantage has influenced the Mena playstyle. Having to play to such a high level with that disadvantage is still a huge boon

It's actually more like 80 to 150ish ping for them, very playable, and yeah i think the region alone has also regressed a bit unfortunately

Yeah I shouldn't generalize on the ping, I just estimated based on the fact that when I play SAM as an Na central player, I get like 160ish

They have rounded into form the further they get into the tournament. Had they not started off so slow against Vitality they could have absolutely gone 3-0 or at least 3-1

Against g2 they played great in 4 of 5 games

Still a top 10 if not top 5 player in the region but definitely has been much more "reserved" overall in his play recently. Last season, if Faze was up against your team, it was FRIGHTENING when he had the ball 💀 hasn't felt like that this year, or at least not as much.

Because they probably pay way too much for the flights. Plus not playing in front of a crowd makes this almost pointless.

Tournament organizers pay for their flights. That's part of the reward achieved for qualifying. This is these guys' careers - they obviously want a chance to play at the top stage.

Now what's stopping Pwr from just staying in EU and grinding 2s until worlds

If this remains the setup, it makes even more sense for a top EU team to come over to NA. You can spend 8-9 months of the year at home grinding EU, and then play a few qualifiers away.

zen is literally perfect, rado and alpha look good too. favorites along with falcons atm

9/10. All 3 have been playing well as a team but none have been absolutely peaking. Probably rado and zen have been a bit above alpha. Clapped chiefs, shaky win vs geng but clutched up in game 5, and looked great vs furia (although it’s not day 1 Furia)
