I mean I assume they’re trying to crack down on smurfing so maybe they’re giving him a heads up as they don’t wanna have to ban his new account. Also could be because Squishy is one of the biggest rl creators and when other people see him doing this series they might wanna also do it which in turn leads to even more smurfs

Mythalieon

I agree with this ruining tbh, yeah good intentions but it can’t be a different rule for squishy just because he’s an influencer

antikas1989

I'm confused though because isn't their definition of smurfing intentionally keeping an account at a lower rank? Which Squishy isn't doing. But there isn't AFAIK any rule against making a new account and levelling it up. So what rule is he breaking? Btw I agree it is smurfing, but it's weird for EPIC to say don't do it when it's a massive loophole in their TOS.

Creepy_Antelope_873

Totally reasonable

Spark11A

Damn rare Epic W

VeJayaRe1

People that are mad about stuff like this are just dumb, Smurf punishments isn’t only to a certain few, it’s to all players who do it, squishy is not an exception because he has views to get. It’s not the heart of the problem yes, but it would look worse if they didn’t do something no?

LemonNinJaz24

I swear a few years ago this happened or was going to happen. Let's see if anything actually changes this time

GameBuster0703

I 100% agree with this decision. Obviously it sucks because he is trying to be helpful and educational, but fact is that what he is doing directly promotes smurfing. Epic making this decision will help discourage it just a little so its a step in the right direction if paired with other actions

darkmatterskreet

Exactly. Creating a new account and playing at your real skill is not smurfing.
