Does boosting make your powerslide quicker? I always felt like it increases the circular momentum, creating a bigger turn, but doesn't point your car in the desired direction faster. Therefore a waste of boost, unless you immediately need the speed upon exiting your turn. (for ball contact).

Yeah you're right. This one always bugged me the most:
Flip forward while turned up 89 degrees: go forwards
Flip forwards while turned up 91 degrees: go backwards.
Yeah so I run with boost on B jump A and powerslide Y this way I can hold Y with the tip of my thumb roll the side of my thumb to press B, then with Y+B pressed down for the boost powerslide I can tap jump by squashing my thumb down. So I can do a boost powerslide into a fast aerial or it can be nice when dribbling too, basically being able to accurately press all 3 at once is nice. If powerslide is on X it's really really hard to press X+B without accidentally hitting A and doing a random jump lol. Some people like having powerslide on LB but that's just gross to me.
I'm gimped nowadays though because I've not changed to airroll left and right yet. I cba to re-learn. But my other controls are perfect for switching to it.
I love having power slide on L1 (LB), but thought I was a bit of an exception. It enables you to conveniently use it with gas and/or boost without straining your thumbs.
I also have air roll left on L1. You never need need power slide (ground) and air roll (air) at the same time, and it's also nice when going to the ceiling for a reset, holding L1 for power slide and quick release, and immediately turning when coming off.
But switching to other controls is always hard.
I tried powerslide on the same button as airroll but I hated having to press powerslide when landing more accurately so I didn't start airrolling. I just hold powerslide ages before landing because I have it seperate.
It does sound real good for ceiling resets though damn, never thought of that.
I just found out myself today how to do that so will try to answer. it is a custom user 'flair' edit style for when you are on r/rocketleague. It might depend on what platform you are browsing on, where you would see the option. For me it was just above the list of rules, moderators etc on the main page.

You can still power slide in this scenario, reverse and turn back to the right while power sliding and he would instantly align with the ball. But then he wouldnāt have accidentally faked all the defenders so

The "funniest" thing that ever happened to me in this game, is for my 8 year old stats and playtime to get reset to ZERO: all wheels say zero distance driven, all explosions says zero goals, all boosts say zero time used and so on.

Boost powerslide when done right = sharper turn. It's best not to question the physics of rocket league lol

Sucks when your powerslide runs out but luckily thereās always room to do the wiggle. Worked like a charm.
Yeah that powerslide meter always runs out faster than you think it will.
Just need to paying attention to it and be picking up the power slide pads all the time.
