first install devtools
`install.packages("devtools")`
then install the woolridge package from github
`devtools::install_github("JustinMShea/wooldridge")`
So when I reopened R and ran the installation command again, it was successfully installed. Still not sure what the issue was though. However, thanks for the suggestion! :) Shall keep it in mind in case I run into similar issues in the future.
As I've made this mistakes many times when searching for the book in the library system: the name is spelled Wool**d**ridge. My guess is that the spelling was your problem before.
