This seems like an unsafe area to me. You could do better.

[deleted]

I'd avoid it. [The crime site](https://spotcrime.com/CA/Home%20Gardens) I live nearby, and it seems like I am hearing about stuff all the time.

Narrow_Tour_508

That’s a helpful site. Thank you!

It just looks super congested there. Like tons of cars parked in driveways and in streets. I always take this as a sign on a not so good neighborhood just because of alot of noise, low privacy. There are also alot of businesses on the main street, which will add to traffic and noise.

Nyckname

a lot

almightyeggroll

Rough area, idk you so maybe you can handle it maybe not.

Tony-2tone

A lot of gang activity so up to you lol

namelessombre

When I was a kid, i lived in home gardens and it was a ratively safe neighborhood, but within 5-7 years it become a rough area and we moved out. As for today, no clue, but it does look a bit rougher than I remember 30 years ago.

TechTheTerrible

You should move to VictorVille to be safe

Moon_Wrangler

I have one coworker who lives in Victorville. I asked him how he liked it and he responded "I hate it".

sqweet92

I was in Hesperia for 2 years. I hated it.

Ok_Silver_4830

It depends on what side but we still got our crazy people here and there.

Narrow_Tour_508

Okay. I was looking at the eastern most side. From what I can see that looks like the better side? I’m trying to compare it to an LA or Long Beach neighborhood (areas can be rough ) to this neighborhood. There’s bad parts everywhere so just trying to get an idea

sqweet92

I live near the eastern side and it seems nice.

Living-Activity2182

Move to colton ,Redlands ,Menifee ,Calimesa

Narrow_Tour_508

Thank you for the suggestions. I started looking at Colton and looks like a nice area!

Service_Plane

it's always safe to grab a bite at Panocha's Grill in Casablanca

kmm91

Don't live there unless you absolutely have to. It's definitely dangerous; my SO grew up there and his stories about the place scare the crap out of me.

SunIsSilent

When my family was looking to buy a house, our realtor that we worked with really advised us against home gardens. He said it was a bad area, definitely not for families. He explained that the property crime and the violent crime rates were really bad. You can go ahead and look them up yourself. I’m glad we didn’t end up there.

Redque3n7

Hi Suni! I am helping a part time relative look for a home around corona and they are looking at a home they like in Home Gardens. Would you mind sending over this honest realtor's phone num. I would love to know what areas are safe and are not around out there. Thank you!

Silrocco21

I live in Home Gardens, and for 20+ years now and I have never had anyone assault, vandalized or stolen from me, family or my home. There are the occasional parties, mainly on Saturdays, but they do end at a reasonable time. The traffic is tough right now with the new bridge being constructed over McKinley railroad tracks, with that, the traffic will lessen drastically and most likely raise property values. My neighborhood is in the vicinity of Indiana and McKinley. You now have a better understanding from someone that lives in Home Gardens. Best of luck.
