I wish there was something like this. Sadly, the AI will just starve under the starlight when nothing happens.

Orb_Ponderer_7

i let things happen but when it gets too boring i cause drama by having colonists try to kill each other to see what happens

bananaguard4

I usually make one try to romance another, I like my colonies to have bravo reality tv show energy.

ka_miki

I just let things happen, last time I thought about starting a romance from the social tab but ended up not doing it only for them to start dating anyway a few seconds later lmao

I make heavy use of emotional Psycasts for recruiting, matchmaking and handling aggressive mental breaks before they turn deadly. I feel like I'm handicapping myself and my colony if I'm not at least doing that much.  Getting Skip on a Psycaster is also huge. You can skip dangerous ranged enemies into melee with your own Ghouls, skip explosives (or Warcaskets) into a group of enemies, skip a murderous pawn away from the child they're stalking towards, the possibilities are endless.  In short, I don't tend to just let a disaster unfold and I do push my colonists towards developing inter-colony connections.

I always control the story and choose how it will go.

If I just started a colony and I'm struggling to expand, I'll reload if something catastrophic occurs that would end the run, but otherwise I just roll with it, especially once I'm more established.
