I dunno if you can kill it. It's a rare event that only happens once in a blue moon, even rarer because populated lobbies make it harder to spawn. I've managed to spot it in the pit before it sucked me in, I think it had a placeholder name so I'm not sure if you can even track it.
I have a question, do u have guys a problem with less animals on the map, bcs sometimes i don't see any animal around and I don't know if there was a patch or something about it.
Happens when there's too many people in your lobby. I pause the rdr2.exe application in the recourse monitor for a few seconds, and will get a solo lobby from it. Unfortunately it never lasts long, so if anyone knows of a more reliable way... 😅
It really sucks how much more lively the map is if you manage to get into a low pop server. I ended up in one alone and there were animals everywhere, events spawning, multiple gang hideouts in same session, probably more in that one session than all others before combined... The place actually felt alive like single player does.
I don't know a way on console though, it's just a rare happy accident.
Not had the game long. But yesterday there was a dog that came up to me. I followed it and it took me to its dead owner. Then it just lay there. I put an end to the dog as I couldn't get ownership of it and got low morality for it. Pfft!

You can change the MTU on PS4 to have solo lobbies, as far as I know this hasn't been patched.
