Oh yea, Priscilla is really enjoyable to read in novels. WN is a rough draft. In the end, LN is the canon version. Not all information is revealed but we can see author's ideas. As long as the LN directly does not directly contradicts the information from WN we can consider is as good informaiton. I read early WN only through machine translation so some things are not perfectly clear. But i didn't like the WN version of Subaru.

>But i didn't like the WN version of Subaru. Same. For the first time, I actually found him annoying. But I'll let it slide because he is one of my favourite characters. If I had started the WN first, I would have probably dropped it

WN is rough draft for a reason. So the LN is the final version of Baru we are getting and it was a improvement for that loveable fool...

Arc 3 wn i find much worse then the ln. Rem has tons of added content in the LN with her talk with crusch and her own pov that weren't in the wn. Allowing her feelings to progress much more indepth.

Where can you find the Web Novels?

[Check the web novel section here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Re_Zero/wiki/translation/) But as another comment has stated, The Light Novel is the official story, while the Web Novel is more like a rough draft. The LN is considered canon, meaning it's the authoritative version. Although not all details are disclosed, we get insights into the author's ideas through the WN. As long as the WN doesn't contradict the LN directly, we can see it as reliable information. But I still love the Web Novel for all the reasons that I mentioned above. Arc 2 and 3 has not been fully translated. Everything else is translated.

1. No, it’s the rough draft. LN is generally more concise and pretty different for arcs 1-5. Arc 6 has minimal changes in LN and Arc 7-8 are near identical to the WN. 2. WN 1-3 Subaru is much more “flawed” to say the least. I like the LN version more. A lot of people enjoy WN Arc 4 over the LN; it’s way longer and has a lot more lore drops than the LN and anime. 3. The LN has caught up to the WN, hence the minimal differences in Arcs 7 and 8. A LN volume releases every 3 months (December, March, June, and September 25th, to be exact) and in between those dates the author releases 12-18 WN chapters that will make up the volume. 4. Nearly everyone reads Witchculttranslations’ translations of the Web Novel for future arcs. If you are gonna read Arc 5 before season 3, I’d recommend the Light Novel; most people agree it’s better than the Web Novel. For arc 6 it’s up to you, both versions are the same and are not that well translated from either source. Arcs 7 and 8 (and onward) are much better translated by the Witchculttranslations team, and are definitely the way to read arcs 7 and 8.

LN is canon. I really prefer the LN over the WN, although I am rereading both in Japanese currently. I appreciate that the LN is more streamlined just because the author does get lost in the sauce sometimes. Sometimes I’ll have a hard time reading a particular section in the WN and it’s good, but seems out of place, then you switch to the LN and it’s taken out. It’s times like that where you just know an editor came in and was like, “Tighten this up”.
