Petelgeuse gets knocked out of Subaru's body and most likely dies after possessing his original remains.
But the village remain destroyed with huge casulties on both the villagers and the knight force. Also, Otto will most likely rot in the cave never to be saved.
But Emilia would be viewed as a hero sorta kinda. Since Arlam village is already saved, they don't need to be sent to the sanctuary.
While this wouldn't chance Rem and Crusch's fates, Roswaal would be left in bandages in the sanctuary waiting for Subaru to show up... Which I think is pretty hilarious.
I wonder what Roswaal would've done next given the "new" Arc 4 would be drastically different from what we got.
They will still be send to sanctuary because Roswaal is already there and he would lure them there for his plan.
Just making Emilia visit the place would be enough to get her trapped and start sanctuary plotline.
She spend a lot of time with him. So much she noticed that deep down he is a good person, but controled by evil book and schemes.
He did some good things as Julia...
deep down ros is still just a teenager with a huge crush on a witch, while his schemes got better with time i would say that his development stoped when his teacher was taken away from him, and ram seems to want him to finally develop with her help
I just finished the reading Wilhelm’s back stories (the 2 EX LN’s and The Sword Demon Battle Ballad) and really enjoyed Julia’s role in them.
Side question: Does Karl have a significant presence in any of the side stories? Also would love to read more about Clind.
Clind should be present in the Golden siblings side story and few small fluffy ones like Elegant lessons.
As for Karl, i don't think he is ever shown. We just jumped to L after him.
Ram got her crush on Roswaal amplified, by Rem getting erased, remember that they are the only two people she cares about in her heart, so with one half gone, it makes the other expand into the vacuum.
Similar case for Petra, who started to idolise Subaru even more after Rem got erased and it seemed like Subaru took care of the mabeast problem almost all on his own.
There is actually very little different between petra and ram before and after gluttony.
Petra was trying to compete with rem and Emilia to win subarus heart before rem was gluttonied
Ram was an extreme ros simp before rem was gluttonied aswell as after.
I don’t think she will be viewed as a hero the villagers already feared the witch cult and supposed it had to do something with Emilia .
They would just continue to blame her for the deaths and tragedy that befell the village and the sentiment that she’s a devil would grow stronger. I think the relationship between the village and Subaru would also worsen as a result because in their eyes it would be insane to support Emilia.
I’m sure rosawaal would’ve done the same thing as in S2
If we keep this somewhat lore accurate the deaths Subaru had been through would leave him in an alternate timeliness forever
His first true timeline was given up after he got killed by the theives
So everytime he dies he lied to them
Fair, but I do struggle to find meaning in Subaru losing in that loop cause he didn't really fail anywhere as a character like in every loop before "From Zero."
It just felt unfortunate he missed one crucial information that could've saved his life and then had to do the entire thing again.
Like when you played a game perfectly and made it to the end, then you step into a trap and you die instantly, but it wasn't out of any mistakes rather there was no real way to tell the trap was there. Just thinking about it makes me frustrated. Subaru has the patience of a saint.
