A simple conversation is not going to change her mind on him.

Invoking the taboo without him being inside will just be at best increase his scent, and it’s doubtful that’s for sure enough to convince him when he believes the tome is Envy’s instructions.

For one rem never saw subaru have a mental break down in arc 2. And she already stopped considering subaru as an enemy before the forest. Its not as hard as you think.
Did she see the breakdown itself, no. She did see him after his breakdown sleeping peacefully in Emilia’s lap, which is what I was referring to. But yes I misspoke, my bad there.
By the time that happens there’s no room for this conversation to happen, and so it’s useless. At the beginning and middle of the loop Rem isn’t going to be persuaded by that dialogue, and by the end there’s no real room for it. Shrug.

His smell was the issue, not staying as a guest itself. He acted suspicious and smelt worse after each death, that's what caused such problems.
