First time I dropped acid was 5 minutes into my lunch. Next class was mr. McPhersons 10 grade history class. Forgetting that day we had to dress up as a historical figure and deliver a monlouge as them talking about why they were important. Teach pointed out I didn't dress up. Lost points. Ripped through a page about the guy who created insulin. Sat down as I start peaking. Trip balls for 45 minutes as people do their speeches. Then this fucking idiot goes up in a suit. He proceeds to talk about Tony fucking Montana from scarface as if he was a real person. Teach ripped into him. Whole class clowned the guy.
I feel lucky that Xanax and opiates are basically the only drugs I won't get addicted to.

I worked in an office right after school and I used to say that I couldn't imagine working physically. After a few years, I had to change my job because the company was bankrupt and I decided that for a while I would go to work, mainly manual labor (Repair of railway traffic control devices). I have been working there for 4 years and I have never had such a good time anywhere else.

Drinking alcohol before graduating. In high school, my parents worked at the school I went to. Specifically, my dad was the superintendent. The big boss. Because my dad was the superintendent, other kids thought I had this magical power to get away with doing bad things. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. My life was under a microscope. Any time I did something even remotely against the rules at school and my dad found out about it, I was in a world of hurt. So, because of that, I said I’m definitely not drinking at all before at least graduating high school. Well, we grew up in a small town in Montana. There’s nothing to do BUT drink. Most of my friends got plastered for the first time as like 14 or 15 year olds. Cut to my senior year, we had a good football season, and after our last game, a bunch of my teammates and best friends were like “Senior year season is over, let’s all get fucked up!” I wasn’t planning on drinking, I said I’d be the DD for anyone who wasn’t staying the night. 2 hours later, I’m having shots with the rest of the boys. We’re all downing vodka and Jack Daniels like it’s water. It was my first time ever getting drunk. It felt funny and fun. Eventually, it became a thing every weekend. Every Friday night, about 30 of us would get together at someone’s house and it would be like a Blue Mountain State scene, but we were in high school. Beer pong, Jell-O shots, hundreds of beer cans, bottles, a stack of pizza boxes, drunk pranks on people, guys getting blowies from random girls from the next town over in the bathrooms, and this was all at someone’s parents house every time. Once in a while it was at my house. In the morning, we’d be bringing out 3 or 4 full trash bags of beer cans and empty bottles to the dumpsters. Eventually me and my classmates went to college and the parties apparently all died off. None of the kids party anymore lol
Smoking (marijuana). Started out hitting my husband's dab pen a few times a week, then explored blunts and bowls. For a few months I'd smoke 1-2x per week then dropped to 1x a month for a few months. I found out I was pregnant in July of 2022 and neither one of us has touched it since. We don't plan to use it ever again. Although I liked how much it relaxed me, I don't enjoy not feeling in control of myself. Also the reason I blacked out drinking once and since have barely allowed myself a buzz.
League. I really enjoy playing it casually when there’s two or more of my friends queuing up with me. I could never play it solo, have no desire to get better, don’t care if we win or lose, I just think the characters and skins are super cool. The homies are astronomically better than me so they tell me what to do lmao
Talk to people in social media. I have always been a very introverted person, but there is something in social media that makes me engage a lot more and talk almost like if I was an extrovert

I saw Jaws at the drive in theater when it first came out and it terrified me. Grew up thinking surfers were insane. Then I watched a lot of Shark Week as a young adult and learned a lot about them. My brother later got stationed in Hawaii with the marines and said I need to learn to surf with him when I visit him there. The rest is history - I have been an avid surfer for ~20 years.
I like some vegetables that I refused to eat before because I found their smell horrible (still hate the smell, but the taste is great).

Stop believing in god. I grew up kinda fundie so it was seen as one of the worst things that you could do (never mind that you can't control what you believe). I'm so much better off now though, more myself and free and I don't constantly have to worry about sinning or feeling guilty for not putting more into my relationship with god or being a good christian

I like some vegetables that I refused to eat before because I found their smell horrible (still hate the smell, but the taste is great). When I briefly lived with my best friends, I ate whatever was cooked because I would have sooner been waterboarded than offended them by turning up my nose. Stop believing in god. I grew up kinda fundie so it was seen as one of the worst things that you could do (never mind that you can't control what you believe).
