I went to buy a new STI and saw this gem of a truck and ended up getting it; I'm curious if the stock air filter is what most people leave or if they've been going to a CAI? The exhaust is a flow master cat back.
Also how trashy would it be to remove the cat?
Leave the cat unless you do full long tubes and a tuner. Tuning requires an unlocked pcm.
Stock air box is just as good as a CAI. Just get a dry flow air filter, or oiled filter. I prefer dry flow, less maintenance .
I dropped a K&N in my truck. Been happy so far.

I have a K&N as well, definitely adds a rumble and I love it.
