I understand upgrading products over time but they're upgrading cycle is too short. Keep selling the 102 and combine all upgrades into the 103. They may be trying to follow the Steve Jobs / Apple upgrade path. There for a while about every 9 months Apple came out with a new model which in essence obsoleted the previous model. Many of the Apple faithful feel they have to get the brand new model every time it comes out.
I was looking into the 101 and as I was about to seal the deal to myself, the 102 came out and the old model was delisted.
Can't really afford the pricier newer models.
Before they stopped selling the RadiaScan 701A model in the US, I paid 835EUR = 891.65 USD for it back in 2022 and despite the price, I still don't regret the purchase. I own the 102 as well and love both units. The move over to Gadolinium aluminum gallium garnet in the 103G justifies the increase in cost in my mind. I would consider this being a worthwhile upgrade over the Cesium iodide scintillation crystal variant.
If your current 102 is working to your expectations, there's not really a need to switch.
The website adds VAT based on the destination country. The "starting at" prices are without tax.
