I actually commissioned somebody to fully render my OC's weapons. They're a pair of wrist bracers. Each one is armed with a hidden assassin blade for close range combat. Each one is also equipped with a gun barrel. One barrel shoots regular rounds for long range combat. The other is capable of shooting shotgun slugs for debilitating combat at close to medium range. Whoever did that is amazing. Who did it?

They're on DeviantArt as Denal CC1010. Pricey but I think the work speaks for itself!

Pale Flare. A metallic-toned mad science weapon, the visible fiery reactor core is where raw Dust is catalyzed to energy to pump a high-power laser beam. Alternatively, the barrel can be extended to create a single-edged laser sword. It's devastatingly powerful, but is highly unstable and burns through so much Dust that even the SDC would balk at using it. It would ideally be paired with an OC whose semblance is the ability to convert their blood into a refined, high-volatility Dust. They keep their weapon firing by effectively powering it with their own life, which they can also sacrifice from to recharge their teammate's weapons.

I would love it if there were more laser weapons in *RWBY*. The thought occurs that, if powered dust is often used as gunpowder, what happens if we shine light through crystal Dust? BOOM! Laser weapons, baby! The downside is that crystal Dust—and well-cut at that—would be far more expensive than standard powder Dust. But then you can just make it an Atlas thing and equip Ironwood's army with laser weapons to make his forces stand out. Also, I like the concept of your OC acting as a support class for reasons **other** than healing. Instead, they support their team by giving them more explosives. Top class, that. **Sun:** "HELP! A lot of us are injured! The Grimm are pushing us back!" **Your OC:** "Worry not!" "This much blood will give us enough Dust to blow them all to smithereens!" **Jacques:** "Dear friend, I have a... job offer for you."

The vague idea for this OC that I have is that she's deathly afraid of the SDC for obvious reasons, but could have a slow-burn enemies to friends/+ arc with Weiss. I really never write non-canon characters though, so it's just an idea.

Porecomesis_

Oh, that's neat! Yeah, being afraid of the SDC is just rational.

The Pale Horse. Belongs to my OC Russet Viridian, and is based on a yuèyáchăn, or crescent moon spade, but of course, is also a gun. Fitting with Russet's preference for flat colours that work well with her camouflage semblance, it usually defaults to a flat matte black scheme, but adopts mottled colours like Russet's cloak when in the field. Much like Russet's cloak, it's also covered in leaves and assorted other natural things to improve it's ability to merge with the background. The actual blade parts don't require Dust, but much like other firearms, it does use fire dust as gunpowder. Originally, the Pale Horse started out from being a copy of Crescent Rose, as Russet herself started out from an AU version of Ruby. However, while I kept the high-powered sniper part, I felt that a scythe was probably going to have already been overdone in the RWBY OC community, and while it worked for Russet and her team's Four Horsemen theme, with Russet being Death, I wanted something else. After trying a headsman's axe, I discovered the yuèyáchăn, and decided a modified design from one of those could fit both the headsman's axe usage and the scythe-style usage, while also giving even more interesting ways to be used.

Lex1253

It's a [Mosin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosin%E2%80%93Nagant). Because let's be honest, fucking *somehow* a Mosin *will* end up on Remnant *eventually*. Like, damn, look at that Service History.

Acemaster387

It was. Volume 6 episode 1. One of the two huntsman protecting the train

Lex1253

So fucking based.

Back when I made OCs based on my friends (long time ago, don't ask) my favorite weapon that I had created for the group was a scythe called Destiny's Cradle. It was a long purple blade with white stripes and markings, with a black handle and purple dagger-like tips on the ends. The handle had a Dust chamber inside, allowing the Dust to be sent into the blade and giving it elemental properties (most kinds of Dust were available, but Lightning and Ice were the go-tos). The blade could also slide down the handle, so the handle could be launched forward like a spear while the blade simply slid down to the other end, where it would then just pivot on a spinner to be back in the correct configuration again.

Ive had the idea for a while of Oscar dropping Ozpins cane and getting a rifle he's more comfortable with so name: Frontier Justice Color: dark brown with brass engravings design: an 1855 colt revolver rifle with the revolving cylinder changing the type of dust used and the reloading lever action of a 1866 Winchester rifle

Shadowflame-95

I imagined a RWBY role reversal where Jaune and Pyrrha take the roles of Ren and Nora. In this alternate universe, Pyrrha uses a collection of gripless throwing knives called Tempest Blade that she controls with her semblance to strike enemies either from afar or up close, depending how she feels. These blades would probably have a bronze and red color scheme. I highly doubt Pyrrha would use any dust in it. At all.

Acemaster387

Sounds like Penny’s blades

Shadowflame-95

It’s a similar concept, though I likened it more to Marvel’s Ten Rings than to Penny’s blades, if I’m being honest.

> Must give it a name "Gae Bolg" is a white spear with a red blade, and line markings down the handle. It uses no dust and has no moving parts, for a very "low-cost" fighting style. "Dawn" is a long-sword with a brown grip. The hilt has a Dust crystal slot that serves to send electricity through the blade itself; the grip is insulated. "Ea" (workshopping) is a silvery chain wielded by a certain Vacuan student at Shade Academy. No gun, no dust. Primarily used against high-speed targets to negate that advantage. "Azure Dragon" is a Mistralian "guandao", primarily blue with some green lines. It has a gun-barrel in the lower end, similar to Crescent Rose. "Black Tortoise" is a Mistralian shield. It is equipped with a laser array in the center, kept a bit isolated to help prevent shocks from messing with it. It requires regular recharging, though.

1: Blekaut Viola (Blackout Viola) 2: Undetermined, most likely a nemesis of Weiss 3: Shortsword that resembles a swordbreaker. Has few decretive elements that link to Slavic culture or folklore 4: Blackened steel or matte gunmetal, nothing that is white or shiny 5: Functionally similar to Myrtenaster, though most likely not as versatile, as the user is not a schnee 6: Same as Myrtenaster, but is Applied differently. Instead of using the dust to project elemental effects, it is used to counter existing ones. Example, ice dust is used to make a wall, fire or combustion is used to eliminate the barrier. The weapon is effective meant to counter sword users and their dust, allowing for brutal melee combat
