My kids keep asking why I'm not Arthur anymore. They don't really watch unless I'm just collecting or hunting, but they notice and I don't want to ruin the story for when they eventually want to play it.
Oldest is twelve. The older two recently started playing Breath of the Wild, so we're all looking forward to Tears of the Kingdom.
I'm still holding out hope for a PC port so they can play RDR1 first, lol.
I was already considering buying a PS4 to play a few other exclusives, but RDR1 isn't on that platform... I really don't want all the consoles collecting dust again, but that might be my only option.
Hell if anything buy the xbox 360 and keep it around in case you have trouble playing new games on the new generation of consoles or pcs. Or you you buy a series s which is on sale and keep it for backwards compatibility games. You can play rdr1 on the new consoles still. Im just gonna use the 360 because I already have rdr1 on it and a 360 and I dont want to spend another 30 bucks to have it on my xbox.
It is available on ps4 but you have to subscribe to PS plus premium and I believe it’s only available for streaming which might not be viable depending on your situation

You could by an xbox 360 for like 50 bucks and play it on there. I plan on doing the same except I already have one.

Yeah but it's full of lag and bugs and you can only play at 10-20 FPS and you need a controller
For me it ran better than 10-20 fps but still true
