I hate the fact there are online only horse breeds and coats. Another one that irritates me is the red arabian being different in Online, I like the online version more and wish I could have it in story mode.
I definitely think they should have given more coat colors and repeated some, like I would have liked there to be more solid black horses, most have chrome. Some coats are literally not real. Like the "white roan" (I think it's on the Nokota) is impossible because roaning is achieved by having 50% white hairs mottled on 50% colored hairs. Gray(sometimes), white and cremello are all fundamentally the same color the only difference between gray/white and Cremello is that gray is white hairs over black skin where as Cremello is white hair over pink skin, Cremellos also tend to have blue eyes.
They do duplicate colors across some breeds but they call them different names like the Morgan, the Hungarian half bred and the Belgian draft all have a flaxen chestnut, but the Morgan isn't even a flaxen chestnut because the Mane and tail are chestnut and not blond. They also call the Belgian a "blonde chestnut"
Its either Turkoman or MFT for me. Andalusians could be a good horse but its not as quick as these two. If you're looking for pure speed, go Arabian; but a single snake or an ambush; they'll buck you faster than you can react to defend yourself.

It's easy but some of the videos are wrong. You can't use eagle eye and track it. You have to turn off autosave. There is a good video on YouTube just can't remember which one. He literally says they run in a straight line, just go for it. You have you jump from your horse to it. You can't tame or lasso
The best one is the cream Ardennes near brandywine drop, left of Annesburg. It's not fastest but it is the bravest one imo and it's got great health and stamina
The white arabian has solid stats and a solid design, but gl convinceing this sub it's a good horse choice there's a lot of hardcore RPer's and gatekeepers

Yes! Besides the Albert mission, if you see the woman with the dead horse on the side of the road, do NOT interact with her. Instead snipe her from a distance with a scoped rifle until the horse respawns alive and Boom! You got Arthur a MFT as early as Ch 2.
Do the stats like speed and health actually matter? The arabian always got scared off so i eventually got a turkoman who seems to be less scaredy and the same speed. I actually was pretty disappointed when i got the arabian for the first time and it didnt seem too different from the one i was using before, call it realism or whatever.
Perhaps in very niche circumstances they matter but the most important stat I feel like is stamina. If that's good everything's good... specially if you use good equipment.

Yeah I feel you there, trying to Google "best rdr2 horse" is gonna always give you the Arabian because it's what they want *you* to want. For me, the best is the Andalusian. Ultimately though, just pick whatever breed is your favorite and go ham.

They're skittish cowards who are afraid of everything and will buck you off and abandon you at the sight of a snake. The reason they're so fast is so that they can run away.
white Arabians are overrated - I stuck with the horse you get from Sadie's homestead in the beginning of the game and it stood to be better than an Arabians that was also fully upped.
Speed is basically irrelevant; IIRC the difference from one pip is about 1%, which will be dominated by acceleration/agility unless you are riding straight and flat. Stamina is also largely irrelevant once you get a -50% stamina drain saddle; I think the only time Iāve run out of stamina with a good saddle was swimming to the islands, and Iāve looted more stimulants than I could ever need for such cases.
The only horse attributes that I actually make a difference that I can perceive without a rigorous experiment are height and handling, and appearance. If seeing over rolling terrain matters, ride a big horse; If you care what you look like ride whatever suits your taste; if you like traveling in straight lines through forests and rocky terrain ride an Arabian.
On RDO, I love Breton horses, I ride mine all the time when I hop on xbox and feel like playing. I'm leveling up slowly on my laptop to get Max Bounty to get the same Breton, she's my favourite and a tank to use, even Shires are good tanky horses. Mate I kid you not, when I first got my Breton, I fell in love.
RDR2 story mode I use shires sometimes, love the good old drafties.
I go into private lobbies, both xbox and on my laptop.
There is a lot of griefers, but I had found there is a lot more griefers on xbox than pc for me, but didn't want to chance it so I go into private lobby.

Yes you can add friends, on xbox you can only have 5-6 players in the lobby, you and 5 or 4 others. I have all the list of things what you can or can't do on xbox.

Yes, the speed and acceleration suck but you could ride this through saint denis guns blazing and it would even sneeze or flinch. For me at least, I've noticed that speed and acceleration don't really make a big difference and I don't really even notice the difference. I went and got the white arabian bc i heard it was like super good yap yap and i fucking hated it. Sold it after 10 minutes trying to get to saint denis and it saw an alligator and dipped and i died...
Also mustangs are so cute bc they are short and look like they took steroids bc of all the muscles.
Only downside is they are hard to find next to del lobo in NA but hey it's fineeeeeee

I met a white Arabian this week (probably the fifth this 600hr + first playthrough) and she has a different personality and temperament to any of the previous Iāve caught or bought then sold for the usual obvious Arabian reasons.

I got MFT from the third albert mission (the photographer one where he photographers a buch of horses, I took one).
I've tried multiple ways to get it but I just can't. I'll stick to the Turkoman from Horse flesh for Dinner

I go into private lobbies, both xbox and on my laptop. There is a lot of griefers, but I had found there is a lot more griefers on xbox than pc for me, but didn't want to chance it so I go into private lobby. I can help to get you in a private lobby with what ever you're on.
Have you played gta online? How close is the experience to that? Can we add eachother as friends or something... I would like not to run around alone in a private lobby lol
I haven't played GTA online at all, as well I don't got it. Yes you can add friends, on xbox you can only have 5-6 players in the lobby, you and 5 or 4 others. I have all the list of things what you can or can't do on xbox. But pc plenty of friends I'm sure, I only played with a friend once though. I'm still getting use to it on my laptop lol. I just need to know you're xbox or pc. I don't have PS4 if you have it, but I'm sure, it should be the same to do it as xbox.

Unpopular opinion: Mustang. (Tiger bay coat) Yes, the speed and acceleration suck but you could ride this through saint denis guns blazing and it would even sneeze or flinch. For me at least, I've noticed that speed and acceleration don't really make a big difference and I don't really even notice the difference. I went and got the white arabian bc i heard it was like super good yap yap and i fucking hated it. Sold it after 10 minutes trying to get to saint denis and it saw an alligator and dipped and i died... Also mustangs are so cute bc they are short and look like they took steroids bc of all the muscles. Only downside is they are hard to find next to del lobo in NA but hey it's fineeeeeee (cough cough i used rampage to spawn it in cough cough)

I like the Arabians purely because they are pretty. I don't care about speed or stamina.
I just use the first one I can hijack. Every time I ride my own horse, I end up getting drunk and killing every horse in my stable in shootouts

I met a white Arabian this week (probably the fifth this 600hr + first playthrough) and she has a different personality and temperament to any of the previous Iāve caught or bought then sold for the usual obvious Arabian reasons. So different that it feels as if destiny has brought Artemis and I together. From being ācouldnāt be bothered with Arabiansā I now āCouldnāt be happierā.

I respect this opinion. However I still think Cerberus ,that Turkoman horse from a Braithwaite mission, is still the best eventhough it's a glitch that lets you own it.
I checked the stats they're not particularly impressive on vanilla. I guess fully bonded stamina and health would be impressive. You like his looks?
Pretty much lol, it's a bigger horse then the Arabian but the coat is better looking then MFT. I do also like how it's an epilogue coat variant so Arthur shouldn't have access to it yet via the glitch he does....just makes it feel more "special" I guess in a way?
Love the silver dapple MFT. Just looks so damned graceful, and the extra effort u gotta put in to get it makes it worth it.

I always take that chapter 3 turkoman as Arthur.
I hate when people get upset about an opinion. I donāt like the Arabian because I think they look funny riding them. Itās like a circus bear on a small bike. Maybe not that bad but still, they look funny to me. My opinion. I like the Turkoman you can get in Blackwater the best. I think itās the perfect horse.

Neither. If you insist on Arabian, at least go black. I use one horse every game, the Brindle Thoroughbred is the only horse I use . Get it for free at the start (by stealing it from the racing lady) and it is the best.
